A buckle, such as for a strap or belt, houses a compact multi tool that is removable from the buckle. The arrangement includes a retention mechanism so the removable multi tool stays secure even with excessive body motion. The buckle can be any type of buckle for a belt or other type of strap. The buckle can couple a belt or strap to itself to create a loop or can couple strap portions to one another. The buckle functionality can be provided by any suitable arrangement, such as a cam lock mechanism, a pin or post-in-hole arrangement or a snap-fit arrangement, for example and without limitation. The multi-tool can include one or more articulating (e.g., foldable) tool elements. In some configurations, the multi-tool comprises a sleeve that receives a body of the multi-tool. The sleeve can include tool features.

In an example, a wearable article includes a nonwoven textile sheet having a first portion and a second portion contiguous with the first portion. The first portion has a first density and a first modulus of elasticity. The second portion has a second density less than the first density and has a second modulus of elasticity less than the first modulus of elasticity. The first portion is shaped differently than the second portion as an integral implement of the wearable article. A method of manufacturing a wearable article may comprise thermoforming the first portion while the second portion contiguous with the thermoformed first portion is not thermoformed.

An example waist measuring belt is made up of a belt buckle frame with attachments for a belt strap. The belt further includes a position measuring module coupled to the belt buckle frame that measures an attachment position of a second end of the belt strap to the belt buckle frame. The belt also includes a tension measuring module coupled to the belt buckle frame that measures a tension through the belt buckle frame and the belt strap. A memory and a wireless communication module attached to the belt may be used to store measurements and communicate with a mobile device or server. In various embodiments, estimated user waist sizes over time using measured values and belt-specific data may be used to estimate a user's waist size and generate a waist size history.

A glove and garment system includes a garment having a first sleeve and a second sleeve, a first glove and a second glove. A first female buckle portion is mounted to the first glove, a first male buckle portion is mounted to the first sleeve, a second female buckle portion is mounted to the second sleeve and a second male buckle portion is mounted to the second glove. In a first configuration, the first male buckle portion is buckled to the first female buckle portion to fix the first glove to the first sleeve and the second male buckle portion is buckled to the second female buckle portion to fix the second glove to the second sleeve. In a second configuration, the first female buckle portion is buckled to the second male buckle portion to fix the first glove to the second glove.

Tourniquet buckle assembly

The present invention relates generally to first aid articles and more specifically tourniquets suitable for one handed application. One embodiment of the invention is directed to a tourniquet having a base defining first and second ends. A constricting band is attached to and extends from the first end of the base. A windlass handle is engaged with the constricting band. The constricting band is threaded through a self cinching stepped buckle. A buckle connector includes a hook member that engages the stepped buckle and is partly held in place through urging against a loop of the constriction band.
