BI-STABLE BUCKLE
20200170327 · 2020-06-04 ·

An adjustable buckle secures a head strap to a head-mounted display and is operable between a first stable mode and a second stable mode in which the adjustable buckle transitions between a shorter and a longer effective length to adjust the fit of the head strap according to a wearer's preference. The adjustable buckle comprises a first plate, a second plate, a third plate, and a fourth plate. The first plate secures to the head strap, and the second plate secures to the head-mounted display. The third and fourth plates are bendably connected between the first and second plates via flexible hinges. The second plate is slidably movable along guide member(s) extending between the first and second plates. Rotation of the fourth plate about its flexible hinges causes corresponding translation of the second plate along the guide member(s), placing the adjustable buckle in the first or second stable mode.

Snap no mo

The Snap No Mo invention centers around the innovative concept of providing a fast, easy and safe way to connect, install or remove any item. This concept uses or replaces the conventional snap fasteners system for connecting any item with less effort to the installer or damage to the material and with a minimal amount of strength.

A FASTENING SYSTEM
20200138150 · 2020-05-07 ·

The invention relates to a fastening system for an article. The fastening system comprises a buckle having a body and a pair of hook arms which extend from the body with the free ends of the hook arms facing each other across a gap. A retainer is provided that in use is secured to a part of the article, the retainer comprising an elongate ridge, the ridge having a first width that is less than the width of the gap between the hook arms, the retainer further comprising a transition portion that connects the ridge to a stopper which is orthogonal to the ridge, the width of the stopper in the direction orthogonal to the ridge being greater than the width of the gap between the hook arms. In use the crest of the ridge may pass into the gap between the hook arms during an initial stage of fastening of the fastening system, the transition portion functioning as a guide during a subsequent stage of fastening to guide the buckle to a position where the hook arms and the body encompass the stopper so as to limit further movement of the buckle in a direction away from the ridge.

The beneficial effects of the present disclosure are: users' hands can be freed and the portability and convenience of navigation usage can be improved.

Buckle joint structure
10638815 · 2020-05-05 · ·

A buckle joint structure has a first body, a second body and a buckle module with a cross section of a C-shape. A first flange of the first body is fixed or buckled to a second flange of the second body via the buckle module with the cross section of the C-shape. When assembling, merely a sliding manner is required to make the first flange of the first body and the second flange of the second body buckled to the buckle module. When detaching, merely a sliding manner is required to withdraw the buckle module away from the first body and the second body. Thus, the buckle joint structure is easily assembled or detached without an extra tool or help of another person.

SLIDE RELEASE BUCKLE WITH INCENDIARY IMPLEMENTS
20200128922 · 2020-04-30 ·

The invention relates to a novel incendiary device with a fire starter and a quick release slide buckle wherein sparking and ignition means reside in the buckle apparatus, and which buckle may be attached to clothing, backpacks or any other item a quick release slide buckle may be utilized. One portion of the buckle houses a sparking and combustible material, and the other is a mating side of a quick release buckle. Adding a fire starter to a quick release buckle is a novel tool for any outdoor activity that requires fire ignition.

STRETCH FASTENER
20200107616 · 2020-04-09 ·

A fastener having two strap ends connected by an elastomeric member is described. The elastomeric member has sufficient elasticity to allow a user to increase the distance of separation between the two strap ends by applying a tension force, while providing enough tension to return the two strap ends to close proximity when the user releases the tension force. The elastomeric member may also have an adjustable elasticity to accommodate different applications with different load forces.

Side Release Buckle Device
20200046083 · 2020-02-13 ·

A side release buckle device with a male and female member. The female member has a housing, a catch assembly, and at least one contact point. The male member can interlock with the female member and has an arm assembly, a catch assembly, and at least one contact point. At least one switch is formed by contact between contact point of the male member and contact point of the female member. An electrical circuit traverses the female and male member, so when the members are locked together, the switch is closed. The electrical circuit has a series of wires, a source of electrical energy, a currently limiting resistor, at least one switch, and an electrical element (at least one microcontroller or integrated circuit, a Bluetooth RF transceiver, Wi-Fi enablement). The device may have a computer chip activated upon closure of the switch, triggering activation of an external camera, or a GPS-tracking system. The device pairs with other communication devices.

TOURNIQUET WITH ROTATABLE BUCKLE ASSEMBLY

The present invention relates generally to first aid articles and more specifically tourniquets suitable for one handed application. One embodiment of the invention is directed to a tourniquet having a base defining first and second ends. A constricting band is attached to and extends from the first end of the base. A windlass handle is engaged with the constricting band. The constricting band is threaded through a self cinching stepped buckle. A buckle connector includes a hook member that engages the stepped buckle and is partly held in place through urging against a loop of the constriction band.

BUCKLE WITH REMOVABLE MULTI-TOOL
20200000211 · 2020-01-02 ·

A buckle, such as for a strap or belt, houses a compact multi tool that is removable from the buckle. The arrangement includes a retention mechanism so the removable multi tool stays secure even with excessive body motion. The buckle can be any type of buckle for a belt or other type of strap. The buckle can couple a belt or strap to itself to create a loop or can couple strap portions to one another. The buckle functionality can be provided by any suitable arrangement, such as a cam lock mechanism, a pin or post-in-hole arrangement or a snap-fit arrangement, for example and without limitation. The multi-tool can include one or more articulating (e.g., foldable) tool elements. In some configurations, the multi-tool comprises a sleeve that receives a body of the multi-tool. The sleeve can include tool features.
