20220022889 · 2022-01-27 ·

A fixing clamp for an aligning device, and an aligning device that includes the fixing clamp, for clamping to a bodily extremity. The clamp includes a first clamp arm, a second clamp arm and a frame device having an attaching section for attaching to an adjustment rod. The first clamp arm is rotatably attached to a first rotary joint about a first axis of rotation, and the second clamp arm is rotatably connected to a second rotary joint about a second axis of rotation. A locking mechanism locks the first clamp arm and/or the second clamp arm relative to the frame device in at least one position, and blocks movement of the first or second clamp arm about the respective rotary joint in an open rotational direction.

Coupling device, in particular for use in orthopedic surgery

A coupling device includes a first coupling body configured to be coupled to a first bone anchor, a second coupling body configured to be coupled a second bone anchor, and a connection device comprising a first connection member connectable to the first coupling body, a second connection member connectable to the second coupling body, and a length adjustment member positionable between and insertable at least partially into each of the first and second connection members. The first and second connection members are movable relative to the length adjustment member. The length adjustment member can be actuated in a first direction to increase a distance between the first connection member and the second connection member, and in a second direction different from the first direction to decrease the distance between the first connection member and the second connection member.

Monoplanar device for stabilizing and distracting an anatomical joint
11166750 · 2021-11-09 · ·

A monoplanar device for stabilizing and distracting an anatomical joint is disclosed including first and second shafts having engagement features that form a hinge joint with a single axis of rotation, the shafts being constrained by the hinge joint to move relative to one another only around the single axis of the hinge joint. The shafts and the hinge joint are disposed in a single plane with the single axis being about orthogonal thereto. A first clamp having a recess and a pin hole is slidingly disposed on the first shaft, and a second clamp having a pin hole is slidingly disposed on the second shaft. The pin holes are arranged to receive bone pins for insertion into bones adjacent to the anatomical joint. A distraction screw disposed between a threaded partial bore of the first shaft and the recess rotates to advance the first clamp along the first shaft.

Bone fixation element

A bone fixation element is described. The bone fixation element includes first and second channels, a connection channel, and at least one fenestration. The first channel includes a first proximal channel portion and a first distal channel portion. The first proximal channel portion extends from a proximal end of the first channel toward a distal end, and the first distal channel portion extends from the first proximal channel portion to the distal end. The connection channel extends between the distal end of the first channel and a distal end of the second channel such that the first channel is in fluid communication with the second channel via the connection channel. The at least one fenestration extends from at least one of the first and second channels to an outer surface of the bone fixation element.

System for connecting a connecting device, in particular a distractor, to a bone

System for connecting a connection device to a bone with a bone pin, wherein the connection device is provided with an opening for receiving the bone pin, wherein the system comprises: said connection device; a guiding tube arranged to guide the bone pin from the connection device to the bone for connecting the bone pin to the bone, wherein the inner diameter of the guiding tube corresponds to the outer diameter of the bone pin and wherein the guiding tube can be slidably received in the opening, the guiding tube being slidable with respect to the connection device along an axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of the opening; a locking device arranged to be received in the opening of the connection device and arranged to engage the bone pin for locking the bone pin with respect to the connection device,
wherein the guiding tube is movable with respect to the connection device and bone pin such that the guiding tube is removable from the combination of the bone pin and the connection device and wherein the locking device is arranged to lock the bone pin after removal of the guiding tube.

External Fixation for the Correction of Bone Deformity and Trauma

Provided is an apparatus and component parts of a system for the external fixation of bones. The component parts include fixation plates such as a C-shaped Plate, an N-shaped Plate, a J-shaped Plate, a K-shaped Plate, an I-shaped Plate, a Foot Plate, a Z-shaped Plate, a T-shaped Plate, a UT-shaped Plate and an oval shaped Plate. Two or more fixation plates are configured along an axis, the two or more fixation plates; a plurality of telescoping adjustable struts that connect a first fixation plate along the axis with a second fixation plate of the plurality of fixation plates along the axis, wherein the first and second fixation plates are adjacent plates along the axis; and a plurality of posts, each post connecting two adjacent fixation plates of the plurality of fixation plates along the axis.

Bone positioning and cutting system and method

A bone positioning device can include a fixation pin for attachment to a first bone and a fixation pin for attachment to a second bone. A first block having an aperture can be included for slidably receiving a fixation pin, and a second block having an aperture can be included for slidably receiving a fixation pin. A multi-axis joint can connect the first block and the second block, where the multi-axis joint allows the first second blocks to move with respect to each other about more than one axis.
