Quick attachment clamp for external fixation systems

Clamp (1) for an external fixator, preferably of the quick attachment type, comprising: a plurality of attachments (2; 3) for blocking bars and/or bone screws; a connector (5), provided with an at least partially threaded stem (50), which passes through and connects in series said plurality of attachments (2; 3); at least one first attachment (2) comprising two arms (20; 21), connected by a C-shaped flexible bridge (22); said stem (50) passing through said first attachment (2) in an intermediate position between said flexible bridge (22) and the opposite free ends of said arms (20; 21); wherein, at the free ends, said arms (20; 21) define a screw housing seat (23) for a bone screw, said screw housing seat being selectively configurable, varying the deformation of the flexible bridge (22), to clamp bone screws having different diameter.

UNIVERSAL CLAMP APPARATUS FOR BONE FIXATION DEVICE

A universal clamp apparatus for orthopedic exterior fixators is disclosed. Preferably, the universal clamp apparatus has two pin/rod clamps, each having seating grooves for attaching to a frame rod associated with a frame of the fixator and/or a bone pin for implantation in a bone fragment. A clamp screw extends through and connects the first and second pin/rod clamps. An ergonomically designed knob having at least one collapsible or non-collapsible turn lever acts as a torque amplifier when rotated by hand without tools to tighten and untighten the pin/rod clamps to the frame rod and/or bone pin by movement along the clamp screw. The pin/rod clamps have planar sides that are contiguous and have radial ratchet grooves that are in mating engagement and provide a ratcheting mechanism so that the rotation of the pin/rod clamps relative to each other occurs in incremental rotational steps.

Fixation apparatus and method for total ankle replacement

A device comprises a base. A support is attached to the base. The support is shaped to receive a calf of a person and adapted to receive a wire or pin for securing a tibia of a person. A foot plate is attachable to the base. The foot plate has a plurality of attached members. The members are configured for receiving at least a first wire or pin to fix a foot of the person relative to the foot plate while the foot plate is oriented normal to a superior-inferior direction of the foot. The foot plate is rotatable relative to the base while the foot plate is attached to the base.

Apparatus and method for minimally invasive osteosynthesis of sacroiliac luxations/fractures

The disclosure relates to a surgical system and related methods to facilitate reduction and fixation of sacro-iliac luxations/fractures (SIL/F) in small animals, for example dogs and cats. In another aspect, the disclosure relates to an aiming device and related methods providing accurate, reliable, and safe fixation of SIL/F in such small animals. The surgical system includes a work surface, an articulatable and lockable reduction arm mounted to the work surface, a reduction handle mounted to the reduction arm; an articulatable and lockable fixation arm mounted to the work surface, a fixation drill guide mounted to the fixation arm, and an image acquisition unit directed toward the work surface. The surgical system provides enhanced safety to surgical personnel using the system in terms of reduced exposure to harmful radiation form the image acquisition unit.

Medical positioning device

The present invention relates to a medical positioning device. In one example, the device comprises comprising a first carriage assembly configured for mounting a first pin, wherein the orientation of the first pin is adjustable by a first spherical joint with three rotational degrees of freedom with an angular range of at least ±10° each, a second carriage assembly configured for mounting a second pin, wherein the orientation of the second pin is adjustable by a second spherical joint with three rotational degrees of freedom with an angular range of at least ±10° each and an extension assembly configured for adjusting a distance between the first pin and the second pin.

Reduction system for spondylolisthesis

A system and method for reducing spondylolisthesis. The system includes a bracket comprising a first opening and a second opening, a first and second rod, and a first and second knob. The system may be placed onto a patient's back, the rods may be inserted through the first opening and the second opening and further into a first vertebral part and a second vertebral part. Tightening of a first knob and a second knob on the first and second rod allow for repositioning of the vertebra. Once repositioned, an interspinous implant may be inserted into the interspinous process space, connecting the vertebrae.

Paraxial revision rod-to-rod connector

Disclosed herein are an orthopedic rod-to-rod connector and rod-to-rod connector assemblies for spinal fusion surgery. The rod-to-rod connector may include a first connector portion and a second connector portion. The first connector portion may have a first aperture configured to receive at least a portion of a bone-engaging screw and a first spinal rod. The second connector portion may be rotatably connected with the first connector portion and may include a second aperture to receive a second spinal rod. The second connector portion may be L-shaped and may include a set screw to control rotation of the first connector portion with respect to the second connector portion.

External fixation devices for posterior pelvic compression and methods of use
11517351 · 2022-12-06 ·

Various implementations include an external fixation device for posterior pelvic compression that allows a pin engaged into one iliac bone to be pivoted relative to the pin engaged into the other iliac bone, allowing compression of the iliac bones toward each other and the interposed sacrum and for the relative positions of the pins to be held fixed relative to each other after the compression is set. The pin to be pivoted is engaged into the iliac bone closest to the source of the injury. And, the pins and bars of the fixation device are anteriorly coupled together, which gives the patient greater transportability, as well as maintenance of reduction that will assist in the definitive surgical intervention.
