A latching device secures a strap to a piece of sports equipment. The latching device includes a buckle and a base. The buckle has a main body portion. The main body portion has an integrally formed collet and has a first slot and a second slot. The first and second slots each having a plurality of teeth shaped members that are configured to secure the strap to the buckle. The base is attached to the piece of sports equipment. The base has a first shaft and an annular ring. The first shaft has a first end and a second end. A ball shaped member is attached to the first end of the first shaft. The annular ring is formed on a periphery of the base surrounding the first shaft. The ball shaped member is releasably received in the collet to releasably engage the buckle with the base.

A strap attachment system includes a frame member having an opening, a strap, and a tab having a body and an attachment element defined by the body. The tab connects to the strap. A fastener element connects to the tab and is detachably and slidably mountable to the frame member by the opening.

An adjustment device includes a housing supporting a rotatable spool that is operably coupled to a tension line. The spool is configured to rotate about a first axis in a first direction to wind the tension line around the spool and is configured to rotate about the first axis in a second direction opposite the first rotational direction to unwind the at least one tension line from the spool. The device includes a lever pivotally coupled to the housing and configured to rotate about a second axis. The lever is selectively coupled to the spool to drive rotation of the spool in the first direction. The device also includes a release mechanism that is configured to selectively release the spool such that the spool is free to rotate in either the first or second direction in response to manual forces applied to the release mechanism.

The spool is configured to rotate about a first axis in a first direction to wind the tension line around the spool and is configured to rotate about the first axis in a second direction opposite the first rotational direction to unwind the at least one tension line from the spool. The present invention relates to a belt with a rechargeable battery comprising: a buckle housing that contains the at least one rechargeable battery; wherein the buckle housing has an adjustment mechanism to adjust length of at least one belt member extending from the buckle housing and wherein the at least one rechargeable battery is connected to or connectable to a charging cable for connecting to an electrical device to be charged or for connection to a power supply to charge the rechargeable battery.

The present invention relates to a belt with a rechargeable battery comprising: a buckle housing that contains the at least one rechargeable battery; wherein the buckle housing has an adjustment mechanism to adjust length of at least one belt member extending from the buckle housing and wherein the at least one rechargeable battery is connected to or connectable to a charging cable for connecting to an electrical device to be charged or for connection to a power supply to charge the rechargeable battery.

A tool-operated adjustment device includes a housing supporting a rotatable spool that is operably coupled to a tension line. The spool is configured to rotate about a first axis in a first direction to wind the tension line, and to rotate in a second direction opposite the first direction to unwind the tension line. The device includes a socket pivotally coupled to the housing and configured to rotate about a second axis. The socket is selectively coupled to the spool to drive rotation of the spool in the first direction. The socket is configured to removably connect and disconnect to a tool configured to rotate the socket about the second axis. The device includes a release mechanism that is configured to selectively release the spool such that the spool is free to rotate in either the first or second direction in response to manual forces applied to the release mechanism.

A tool-operated adjustment device includes a housing supporting a rotatable spool that is operably coupled to a tension line. Aspects herein are directed to a strap system having an adjustable stretch that is suitable for upper body garments, lower body garment, and articles such as bags and articles of footwear. The strap system includes a pair of straps that are coupled together in a face sharing relationship by a coupling mechanism. One of the straps in the pair of straps has greater stretch properties than the other strap. A total stretch of the strap system is adjustable by moving the coupling mechanism along a length of the strap system.
