A segmented rod assembly for aligning a spine including a plurality of vertebrae, including a rod, including a plurality of segments, the plurality of segments having at least a first segment arranged to be connected to a first vertebra of the spine, the first segment including a first body and at least one tang extending from the first body, and a second segment arranged to be connected to a second vertebra of the spine, the second segment including a second body and at least one channel arranged in the second body, wherein the at least tang is operatively arranged to engage the at least one channel, and at least one tensioning member arranged within the plurality of segments, the at least one tensioning member having a first end secured to the first segment and a second end.

LIGAMENT FIXATION SYSTEM, IMPLANTS, DEVICES, AND METHODS OF USE

Devices, systems, implants and methods for achieving ligament fixation are disclosed. An implant includes a head member and an anchor member coupled to the head member. The implant includes tension member that couples the head member to the anchor member. The head member and the anchor member include a cannulation that receives the tension member therein. The implant may include a coupling member positioned between and coupling the head member and the anchor member, the coupling member including a cannulation that receives the tension member therethrough. Insertion instruments for inserting an implant for ligament fixation are also disclosed. Methods of using an implant for achieving ligament fixation are also disclosed.

BAND CLAMP IMPLANTS

Implants, systems, and methods for securing a flexible band, thereby providing a desired correction to the spine. The implant may secure the flexible band to a spinal rod and/or a pedicle screw. The implant may include a first locking member configured to secure the spinal rod and a second locking member configured to secure the band. The band may be looped around bony anatomy and tensioned to achieve correction and provide fixation as an alternative and/or supplement to pedicle screws during spinal deformity surgery.

ANCHOR APPARATUS

An anchor for anchoring tensile members to bone includes: a housing extending along a central axis, with a hollow interior; a collet in the hollow interior having a central bore for accepting tensile members and an exterior surface, the collet being configured to swage around and against tensile members; a sleeve having a peripheral wall defining interior and exterior surfaces, the sleeve disposed in the housing's hollow interior axially adjacent to the collet, and movable parallel to the central axis between first and second positions; and wherein at least one of the collet exterior surface and the sleeve interior surface is tapered and the sleeve and the collet are arranged so movement of the sleeve from the first position to the second position causes the sleeve interior surface to bear against the collet exterior surface, causing the collet to swage radially inwards around and against one or more tensile members.

BONE FIXATION SYSTEM WITH OPPOSED MOUNTING PORTIONS

System, including methods, apparatus, and kits, for bone fixation using a fixation device including a mounting portion and a fastener that attaches to the mounting portion. In some embodiments, the fixation device may include first and second mounting portions configured to be disposed across a bone from each other and secured with a fastener that extends from one of the mounting portions, through the bone, and to the other mounting portion. The system also may include a tool to facilitate installation of the fixation device.

NESTING TETHER CLAMPING ASSEMBLIES AND RELATED METHODS AND APPARATUS

Methods for clamping a tether about a spinal or other anatomical feature. In some implementations, a tether may be extended in a loop around an anatomical feature of a spine. A spinal fixation rod may be coupled with an inner coupling piece of a clamping assembly, such as by way of a slot formed in the inner coupling piece. The inner coupling piece may be nestably coupled within an outer coupling piece of the clamping assembly. A first end of the tether may be passed through a passage of the clamping assembly, the passage being is at least partially defined by an outer surface of the inner coupling piece and an inner surface of the outer coupling piece. The loop may be tightened about the anatomical feature with the tether clamped between the inner coupling piece and the outer coupling piece.

Surgical methods for the treatment of plantar plate injury
