Dual tip guide wire
Embodiments of a guide wire having a dual tip design and methods for using the guide wire.
SECURE GUIDE DEVICE
The secured guiding device for positioning and guiding a bone anchoring screw during a surgical procedure according to the present invention, includes a guide pin having a deformable bifid free end which is elastically deformable and consists of two blades having, on the one hand, a first so-called “closed” configuration obtained, for example, by a manual stress so as to position the blades in the prolongation of the longitudinal axis of the guide pin so that the latter can be introduced into a guide tube for its positioning at the surgical site and, on the other hand, a second so-called “open” configuration so as to position the blades in two opposite directions and substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the guide pin when the blades are outside the guide tube in order to provide a bone support during the positioning of the anchoring screw.
Sacroiliac joint immobilization
Improved tools and procedures relate to the immobilization of the sacroiliac joint for the treatment of pain associated with the joint. Kits comprise, for example, a guide element and an immobilization element of a biocompatible material with a size and shape suitable for placement within the sacroiliac joint. Suitable immobilization elements include, for example, pins, nails, screws, darts, wedges, shims and hardening material. A bioactive agent can be delivered into the joint to compliment the immobilization and promote healing. Suitable procedures can be done in a less invasive procedure through a cannula or the like.
System for accurate guide wire positioning
The present invention provides system for accurate guide wire positioning. The said system comprises Jigs with series of holes at different angle. Guide wire can be positioned at different version with or without change in angle depending on the position of guide wire. Also, jig provides flexibility of change in version with or without change of entry point of insertion of guide wire in bone. Also, system comprises external drive which superimposes grid guide of parallel lines or line extensions on the image of guide wire. This drive also projects the future position of the said wire guide. From the projection, if correction is required in the guide wire positioning then it can be changed with the help of said jig.
Method and device for insertion of orthopedic fixation pin with blind hole
A fixation device is disclosed including an elongate body extending from a distal end to a proximal end. The distal end defines a blind hole having a diameter and extending to a depth from a distal tip. The diameter of the blind hole is sufficient to receive a k-wire therein.
Systems, methods, and apparatus for spinal deformity correction
Bone anchors and related systems and elements, such as means for engaging a ligament to a bone anchor for correction of spinal deformities. In some embodiments, the bone anchor may be configured for engaging vertebral bone and may comprise an exterior thread form and an interior thread form, which may be positioned within an interior chamber of the bone anchor that may open at the distal end of the bone anchor where an outer thread form may also terminate. The inner chamber may taper in an opposite direction relative to an outer surface of the bone anchor upon which the outer thread form is positioned.
Stimulating targeting needle
A surgical system may include a conductive stylet with a distal end advanceable into bone material and a proximal end coupled to a stylet hub. A handle is non-removably attached to the stylet hub, and removably attachable to an insulative cannula hub. The cannula hub is non-removably attached to a conductive cannula that surrounds the stylet when the handle is attached to the proximal end of the insulative cannula hub. An outer insulative sheath is slideably engaged to insulative cannula hub, and has a radiopaque distal tip. An electrical signal source may be applied to the stylet hub to conduct a pedicle integrity assessment. The handle and stylet may be removed from the cannula assembly, leaving the cannula assembly in place at the surgical site.
Endoscopic fusion system and method with neuromonitoring
Systems, methods, and kits for performing endoscopic fusion with neuromonitoring. The endoscopic fusion may be performed, for example, through a cannula providing a portal to the disc space. Throughout various steps in the procedure, neuromonitoring may occur to minimize the possibility of injuring or contacting a nerve.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR DRIVING AN ANCHOR INTO BONE
In general, devices, systems, and methods for driving an anchor into bone are provided. In one embodiment, a surgical tool is provided that includes a driver tool with a handle and an elongate shaft. A resistance element is disposed within the handle. An inner portion of an anchor is retained on a distal end of the elongate shaft, and a guidewire extends between the resistance element and an outer portion of the anchor that is in bone. As force is applied distally to the handle, the guidewire pushes the anchor into the bone before overcoming force of the resistance element and thereby allowing the inner portion of the anchor to be driven into the outer portion of the anchor.
OSTEOTOMY METHOD AND DEVICE
The present invention provides a method for compressing a bone hinge created during surgery to re-align a bone in a subject. The invention further provides a device suitable for use in the method and a surgical package comprising the device.
