NAVIGATION INSTRUMENTS FOR SUBCHONDRAL BONE TREATMENT
An instrument for navigating to a target area near a subchondral defect of a bone and associated methods are disclosed. The instrument can include a body portion having a patient specific surface defining a negative impression of a portion of a skin surface of a patient, and a targeting device coupled to the body portion, the targeting device including a rail and at least one device portal configured to guide a device into a subchondral region of the bone for treatment at the target area.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO COMPUTE A SUBLUXATION BETWEEN TWO BONES
Systems, methods and a sensor alignment mechanism are disclosed for medical navigational guidance systems. In one example, a system to make sterile a non-sterile optical sensor for use in navigational guidance during surgery includes a sterile drape having an optically transparent window to drape the optical sensor in a sterile barrier and a sensor alignment mechanism. The alignment mechanism secures the sensor through the drape in alignment with the window without breaching the sterile barrier and facilitates adjustment of the orientation of the optical sensor. The optical sensor may be aligned to view a surgical site when the alignment mechanism, assembled with the sterile drape and optical sensor, is attached to a bone. The alignment mechanism may be a lockable ball joint and facilitate orientation of the sensor in at least two degrees of freedom. A quick connect mechanism may couple the alignment mechanism to the bone.
Tap Guide Device And Systems And Methods For Using Same
Tap guide assembly devices, systems, and methods are disclosed herein. A tap guide assembly can have a body assembly, a tension pin assembly, a tension spring, and a setscrew. The body assembly can have an elongate body and a drill bushing. The drill bushing can have a diameter that is less than the diameter of the elongate body and can be positioned within a portion of the elongate body. The tension pin assembly can have a pin and a collar and can be configured to be received within the body assembly. The tension spring can be positioned proximate to the collar. The setscrew can be securely positioned proximate to the tension spring and within the second opening of the elongate body.
ACCESSORY FOR TENSIONING AN ELONGATE ELEMENT
The present invention provides a tensioning ancillary instrument (5) for tensioning an elongate element to fasten an implant on a portion of bone, by surrounding said portion of bone at least in part, said instrument (5) comprising a body (6) having proximal and distal ends (6a, 6b), the distal end (6a) being provided with a device for bearing against the implant, said body (6) extending along a longitudinal axis (L). The instrument (5) further comprising a carriage (7) that is movable along the longitudinal axis (L), and a fastener device (8) for fastening to the elongate element (2). The instrument (5) also includes a rotary shaft (9) rotatable about the longitudinal axis (L) of the body (6), the shaft (9) being configured to co-operate with the carriage (7) in such a manner that rotation of the shaft (9) drives movement of the carriage (7) in translation along the longitudinal axis (L) and correspondingly moves the carriage (7) away from the distal end (6b) of the body (6) and tensions the elongate element.
BONE IMPLANT AND METHOD FOR TREATING LONG BONE ANGULAR DEFORMITIES
Bone plate and instrument systems include interconnections and locking mechanisms to fix the bone plates to the instruments, and guide features that aim k-wires, drills, and/or fasteners to pass through holes in the bone plates when the bone plates are fixed to the instruments. The locking mechanisms include elongated flexible elements that connect to the bone plates.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND PROGRAM PRODUCTS FOR A DISTRIBUTED DIGITAL ASSET NETWORK WITH RAPID TRANSACTION SETTLEMENTS
Systems, methods, and program products for providing and administering a digital asset network of cooperative nodes with rapid transaction settlements are disclosed.
SCREW GUIDES FOR BONE PLATES
A fastener guide that includes a body. The body includes a through-bore configured for receiving a fastener and an end configured for contacting a bone plate. The fastener guide further includes at least one member configured for contacting and retaining the fastener within the body.
DRIVEN UNIVERSAL SCREW GUIDE
A driven fastener guide for guiding a fastener into a hole of a bone plate. The driven fastener guide includes an elongated driver configured for connecting to a drill and a fastener guide member operably connected to the elongated driver. The fastener guide member includes a split body and a through-bore configured for receiving the fastener. The fastener guide member is configured for aligning the fastener relative to the hole of the bone plate.
JOINT FUSION INSTRUMENTATION AND METHODS
Systems and methods for joint preparation and fusion are disclosed. The system includes a cutting device having a handle, and rigid blade member. The blade member may include cutting edges on first and second sides, and may be curved in one or more planes. The blade member may be deployed to project outside of an outer tube, and the cutting device may be rotated to create a circular cavity. In a method of use, a cannula provides access to a procedure site such as a joint. A pathway to the joint is created, and the cutting device is inserted and deployed to undercut a cavity in the joint. A fusion device may be implanted across the joint to provide compression and fuse the joint. The system may also include instrumentation for creating access to a joint, bone graft insertion and implant insertion.
