The electrically conductive means extend inside the first lumen. The electrical source is configured to apply a pulsed excitation signal to the first electrode. The device includes remotely actuated deployable confinement means for creating a confined space, wherein the opening of the first lumen is arranged in the confined space, the deployable confinement means allowing for confining the plasma substantially within the confined space.
SURGICAL CLIP APPLIER COMPRISING AN AUTOMATIC CLIP FEEDING SYSTEM
A surgical clip applier is disclosed which is configured to automatically feed a clip from a clip cartridge once the surgical clip applier is positioned in the patient.
Bipolar forceps
A bipolar forceps may include a first forceps arm having a first forceps arm aperture, a first forceps jaw, and a first forceps arm conductor tip; a second forceps arm having a first forceps arm aperture, a second forceps jaw, and a second forceps arm conductor tip; and an input conductor isolation mechanism having a first forceps arm housing and a second forceps arm housing. The first forceps arm may be disposed in the first forceps arm housing and the second forceps arm may be disposed in the second forceps arm housing. An application of a force to a lateral portion of the forceps arms may be configured to close the forceps jaws. A reduction of a force applied to a lateral portion of the forceps arms may be configured to open the forceps jaws.
TREATMENT INSTRUMENT AND TREATMENT SYSTEM
A treatment instrument includes a probe including a treatment portion which treats a treatment target part by ultrasonic vibration, and a back portion provided on a side opposite to the treatment portion. The treatment instrument includes a hollow sheath which surrounds the probe, the sheath having a cutout made to expose the treatment portion. The treatment instrument includes protrusion which is provided in the sheath to cover the back portion on a side opposite to the cutout and which has dimensions smaller than the dimensions of the probe in a direction that intersects with a central axis of the probe.
UNIFORM DIFFUSION OF RADIOFREQUENCY HEATING BY ELECTRODE ARRAY
A microneedling system may reciprocate a plurality of microneedles disposed on a handpiece into the skin of a patient. The handpiece may have a plurality of positive and negative electrodes in the form of microneedles or surface electrodes arranged across an array. The microneedles and/or electrode plates may deliver RF energy to the patient for inducing collagen coagulation and regeneration. The electrodes may be arranged such that each electrode is positioned adjacent a closest electrode of opposite polarity. There may be an uneven number of positive and negative electrodes. Central electrodes may be surrounded by at least three adjacent closest electrodes of opposite polarity. The electrodes may be arranged in a hexagonal or other polygonal manner. The electrodes may be arranged to provide uniform distribution of energy, heating, and effectively to some extent damage the entire discrete area that encloses the positive and negative electrodes.
ENT ABLATION INSTRUMENT WITH ELECTRODE LOOP
An apparatus includes a shaft assembly and an electrode assembly at a distal end of the shaft assembly. The electrode assembly includes a first conductive segment extending along a first angular range at the distal end of the shaft assembly. The first conductive segment is operable to apply RF energy to tissue at a first polarity. The electrode assembly further includes a second conductive segment angularly spaced apart from the first conductive segment. The second conductive segment extends along a second angular range at the distal end of the shaft assembly. The second conductive segment is operable to apply RF energy to tissue at a second polarity such that the first and second conductive segments are operable to apply bipolar RF energy to tissue.
