METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR BUILDING A FAMILY TREE
The embodiments herein provide a method and system for building a family tree through a social network. The method includes receiving login credentials from a first person, providing access to a profile of the first person in the social network based on the login credentials, receiving a first triggering event from the first person; wherein the first triggering event occurs when the first person actuates first web element, providing a user interface for building a family tree on receiving the first triggering event from the first person, receiving a second triggering event from the first person; wherein the second triggering event occurs when the first person actuates second web element in the profile of the first person, saving the changes related to the family tree on receiving the second triggering event from the first person, and displaying the family tree on the user interface of the social network.
Gap control via overmold teeth and hard stops
A forceps includes an end effector assembly having a stop and a plurality of overmold teeth within at least one jaw member. One (or both) of the jaw members is moveable relative to the other between a spaced-apart position and an approximated position for grasping tissue therebetween. One (or both) of the jaw members includes a stop molded within an insulative housing, and an insulator plate with the overmold teeth formed from plastic. The overmold teeth extend through openings within a sealing plate and protrude past the tissue sealing surface of the sealing plate. The stop primarily controls the gap distance between opposing jaw members by bearing most of an applied load and the overmold teeth assist in controlling the gap distance by bearing the remaining applied load.
Treatment tool
The disclosed technology is directed to a treatment tool having a blade. The blade includes a treatment surface configured to engage with a treatment target. A heater is configured to be coupled to the blade. The heater includes respective first and second heat generating surfaces each of which extending in a direction transverse to the treatment surface. Respective first and second thermally conductive members each of which is interposed between the respective first and second heat generating surfaces and the blade so as to thermally engage the respective first and second heat generating surfaces and the blade to one another. The respective first and second thermally conductive members includes respective first and second thermal conductivity anisotropies each of which being higher in longitudinal directions of the blade and each of which being lower in widthwise directions of the blade that are transverse to the longitudinal directions.
RESISTIVE COATING DEVICE AND METHOD
Electrosurgical devices are shown with a coated electrode. Electrosurgical devices and methods of use are shown to provide a higher concentration of energy at different resistance regions within a coating. Electrosurgical devices and methods of use are also shown to utilize heat in an electrode contained by a thermally insulative coating to provide a second tissue modification.
ARTICULATING SHAFT OF A SURGICAL DEVICE
Disclosed is a surgical instrument with a handle and elongate shaft assembly extending distally from the handle. The elongate shaft assembly has a longitudinal axis and is able to articulate between a fully flexed configuration and a lesser flexed configuration. The elongated shaft assembly includes a first tubular member having a first flexible portion with a first preferential bending direction. The elongated shaft assembly also includes a second member including a second flexible portion axially fixed to the first tubular member at a position distal from the first flexible portion. The first flexible portion is defined by a plurality of cutouts, each cutout defining a cutout longitudinal axis transverse the shaft longitudinal axis and wherein the plurality of radial cutouts have an asymmetrical shape about the cutout longitudinal axis.
COATINGS FOR TREATMENT DEVICE
A treatment device equipped with high frequency capability includes a pair of clasping jaws that serves as bipolar electrodes. Another treatment device equipped with high frequency capability includes a high-frequency knife that serves as monopolar electrode. An anti-fouling coating that minimizes or prevents adhesion of cauterized tissues is incorporated on the electrode surfaces. Durability and functioning of the anti-fouling coating is improved by one or a combination of increased coating thickness, increased density of the coating, and incorporation of glass and/or high molecular weight PFPE into the coating. The anti-fouling coating can be applied to different locations of the treatment portion, e.g., an insulated portion and a recess of an electrode, an insulated portion and a boundary portion with an electrode.
STORMWATER COLLECTION AND TREATMENT SYSTEM
The present invention discloses the stormwater source filtration system in which the treatment location is at the first point of water collection, as close to the source of contamination as possible. This provides for a modular, flexible, linear treatment system that can adapt to the existing conditions and the existing roadway profiles. Like our road systems, this is linear and can change with the roadway. This system provides for increased storage capacity immediately adjacent to the roadway. Modular and flexible construction make this system of superior cost effectiveness versus the current filtration systems used today. The ease of maintenance and ability to quickly change the filtration media as needed will reduce long term maintenance costs versus current systems. The disclosed system may be installed in both new constructions and as an enhancement/retrofit of existing systems.
Flexible electrosurgical instrument
An end effector of an electrosurgical device may include a first body, a first electrode on the left side of the first body, and a second electrode on the right side of the first body. The first and second electrodes may be configured to receive electrosurgical energy to treat tissue in a target treatment zone. The end effector may also include a fluid aspiration port in fluid communication with a fluid path. The fluid aspiration port may be configured to remove a material from the target treatment zone.
MEDICAL PUNCHING/CAUTERIZING DEVICE
A medical punching/cauterizing device includes a handle having a body, a cap detachably coupled to a front portion of the body, a connection terminal coupled to the body and electrically connected to a power supply means, a conductor provided in the front portion of the body and having one end electrically connected to the connection terminal, and a guide wire provided on a front portion of the handle and having one end electrically connected to the conductor.
Colpotomy cup assembly
A medical device for performing a hysterectomy is provided. The medical device has a tissue incision assembly that includes a first cup nested within a second cup. The tissue incision assembly also includes a spacer assembly between the first cup and the second cup in order to maintain a spacing between the first and second cups. The tissue incision assembly also has a cutting implement that has a portion extending between, and movable with respect to, the first and second cups. The cutting implement can provide a circular cut guided via the spacing between the first and second cups.
