Methods for evaluating the integrity of a uterine cavity
Methods, systems and devices for evaluating the integrity of a uterine cavity. A method comprises introducing transcervically a probe into a patient's uterine cavity, providing a flow of a fluid (e.g., CO.sub.2) through the probe into the uterine cavity and monitoring the rate of the flow to characterize the uterine cavity as perforated or non-perforated based on a change in the flow rate.
Resistive heat ablation for treatment of the anatomy
A medical device that includes an expandable member, a fluid lumen, and a heating element. The expandable member has an inner expandable member and an outer expandable member. The fluid lumen is between the inner expandable member and the outer expandable member. The heating element is located inside of the fluid lumen.
ELECTROPORATION CATHETER HAVING TISSUE-CONTACTLESS ELECTRODES
At least some embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to an electroporation ablation catheter having tissue-contactless electrodes. In some embodiments, the electroporation ablation catheter comprises a catheter shaft defining a longitudinal axis and having a proximal end and a distal end; and an electrode assembly extending from the distal end of the catheter shaft, the electrode assembly configured to assume a first collapsed state and a second expanded state. In some cases, the electrode assembly includes an expandable component, and a plurality of electrodes disposed on the expandable component, where in the second state the expandable component have portions configured to protrude from adjacent electrodes.
EXTENDED REALLITY (XR) APPLICATIONS FOR CARDIAC ARRHYTHMIA PRODEDURES
Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing intelligent assistance (“IA”) ecosystem, and, in some cases, for implementing extended reality (“XR”) for cardiac arrhythmia procedures. In various embodiments, a computing system might receive device data associated with a device(s) configured to perform a cardiac arrhythmia procedure to provide effective heart rhythm, might receive imaging data associated with an imaging device(s) configured to generate images of a portion(s) of a patient. The computing system might analyze the received device data and imaging data (collectively “received data”), might map the received data to a 3D or 4D representation of the portion(s) of the patient based on the analysis, and might generate and present (using a user experience (“UX”) device) one or more XR images or experiences based on the mapping.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR MINIMALLY-INVASIVE SURGICAL PROCEDURES
Devices, instruments and tools for minimally invasive surgical procedures. Port devices and methods for hemostatically sealing and providing a port through a tissue wall that interfaces with a fluid containing chamber, by minimally invasive techniques. Assemblies, instruments and methods for minimally invasive access to and through a tissue wall that interfaces with a fluid containing chamber, and for visualizing same. Instruments, assemblies and methods for minimally invasive surgical procedures, including ablation.
PLEATED OR FOLDED CATHETER-MOUNTED BALLOON
A catheter-mounted balloon includes an inflatable chamber defining a volume expandable from a deflated state to an inflated state, the inflatable chamber having a distal transition portion, a proximal transition portion, and a cylindrical body portion disposed between the distal transition portion and the proximal transition portion. The cylindrical body portion of the inflatable chamber includes a pleat zone having a pleat when the inflatable chamber is in the deflated state. The catheter-mounted balloon further includes an electrode disposed along a wall of the inflatable chamber. The pleat traverses the electrode such that is electrode is pleated as well.
Pulmonary vein isolation balloon catheter
The instant disclosure relates to electrophysiology catheters for tissue ablation within a cardiac muscle. In particular, the instant disclosure relates to an electrophysiology catheter that conforms to a shape of a pulmonary vein receiving ablation therapy for a cardiac arrhythmia and produces a consistent tissue ablation line along a length and circumference of the pulmonary venous tissue.
PULMONARY VEIN ISOLATION BALLOON CATHETER
An elongate medical device having a device longitudinal axis and a device distal region, the medical device comprising a balloon at the device distal region and having a balloon longitudinal axis, the balloon comprising a balloon inflatable portion with a first length configured to transition from a deflated state to an inflated state and includes a portion of the balloon proximal portion and a portion of the balloon distal portion, a balloon proximal portion with a second length, a balloon distal portion with a third length, wherein, in the inflated state, the balloon is symmetrical about the balloon longitudinal axis and the balloon comprises a first profile shape with a second length and a second profile shape with a third length, and wherein the balloon distal portion comprising the second profile shape comprises a tissue contacting surface where a substantial portion of the tissue contacting surface is concave.
Devices for therapeutic nasal neuromodulation and associated methods and systems
Devices for therapeutic nasal neuromodulation and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. A system for therapeutic neuromodulation in a nasal region configured in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, a shaft and a therapeutic element at a distal portion of the shaft. The shaft can locate the distal portion intraluminally at a target site inferior to a patient's sphenopalatine foramen. The therapeutic element can include an energy delivery element configured to therapeutically modulate postganglionic parasympathetic nerves at microforamina of a palatine bone of the human patient for the treatment of rhinitis or other indications. In other embodiments, the therapeutic element can be configured to therapeutically modulate nerves that innervate the frontal, ethmoidal, sphenoidal, and maxillary sinuses for the treatment of chronic sinusitis.
