Apparatus and methods of removably attaching a band to a wearable electronic device
Embodiments of an apparatus configured to removably attach a band to a wearable electronic device, and method of its use are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a coupler removably coupleable to a frame. The coupler includes a body portion and a curved side portion disposed along a side of the body portion. The curved side portion defines a channel configured to slidingly receive an elongated post of the frame. The body portion of the coupler and the curved side portion of the coupler collectively have an end profile that the prevents insertion of the elongated post of the frame into the channel unless the body portion of the coupler is positioned at an angle within the range of about 5 degrees to about 80 degrees with respect to the frame.
Safety release buckle
A buckle assembly that includes a male buckle component to mate with a female buckle component into a securely connected position. The male buckle component includes a main body, a mating guide beam, and one or more lateral arms coupled to the main body to deflect about a pivot point. Each of the one or more lateral arms includes a flexible lateral arm and a button. The button engages the female buckle component via a latching ledge, which defines a sloped transition from the flexible lateral arm to the button. The female buckle component includes a housing that defines a button aperture to secure the button of the male component, a disengagement aperture proximal to the button aperture, and a pocket to receive the male buckle component.
Buckle
A buckle includes two coupling modules coupled separably to each other. Each of the coupling modules includes a main unit including a hook member and a coupling member that has a retaining portion, and an operating member having an operating portion and a pushing portion. The hook member of each of the coupling modules is engaged with the retaining portion of the other one of the coupling modules. The operating portions of the operating members of the coupling modules are movable toward each other, during which the pushing portion of each of the coupling modules pushes the hook member of the other one of the coupling modules to disengage said hook member from the retaining portion of the coupling module.
Magnetic buckle
A buckle assembly has a first buckle portion that cooperates with a second buckle portion. Each of the buckle portions has a base body with exterior surfaces, interior surfaces that extend from a central circular flat, a fastening hook on one longitudinal end and a fastening opening with a first fastening wedge on another longitudinal end on an opposite side of the circular flat from the fastening hook, and a magnet under the circular flat. Placing the interior surfaces of the first buckle portion against the interior surfaces of the second buckle portion causes the magnets to engage each other and the fastening hooks of each buckle portion to enter the fastening openings of the other buckle portion, to lock the two buckle portions together and prevent disengagement under tension in opposing directions parallel to a longitudinal extent of the buckle assembly.

MAGNETIC BUCKLE ASSEMBLY
The invention relates to a device for efficiently and cost-effectively having a magnetic buckle including a buckle base locking assembly. A first magnet clip with a lock hole are disposed on a buckle base assembly, a lock tongue optionally with a second magnet are disposed on a locking assembly, two moving portions are flush with the buckle base assembly respectively, and two unlocking portions are disposed within the buckle base assembly. When the lock hole is closed through a lock tongue, the first magnet attracts a second clip to guide the lock tongue into the lock hole to achieve locking.
ATTACHMENT SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A removable module and a housing for an attachment system of a consumer product is described. The removable module includes a locking mechanism comprising a first portion having a substantially planar top surface and second portion that comprises a substantially non-planar bottom surface. The first portion and the second portion are coupled together. The locking mechanism also includes a first spring mechanism coupled between the first portion and the second portion. The first spring mechanism causes the first portion to be biased away from the second portion. The locking mechanism also includes a second spring mechanism. The second spring mechanism causes the substantially planar top surface of the first portion to be biased substantially flush with respect to the removable module and also causes the substantially non-planar bottom surface of the second portion to be biased proud with respect to the removable module.
RECONFIGURABLE DEVICE FOR MONITORING HEALTH METRICS
An electronic device includes a housing forming an enclosed chamber. The housing has a top portion and a bottom portion. One or more sensors is provided within the chamber and configured to interface with a user to generate physiological data associated with the user. A set of electrodes is provided on the bottom portion of the housing. Each electrode in the set of electrodes is a single member having a corresponding inner electrode portion within the chamber and an outer electrode portion outside the housing. A set of magnets is provided on the bottom portion of the housing.
BUCKLE WITH PULL RING
A pull ring for a buckle assembly that has a main body with a first hook element facing a rear end, and an actuation button. The actuation button is connected to the main body by a spring so that the actuation button can move between an extended resting position and a compressed position. The actuation button has a second hook element on a bottom surface and which faces the front end of the main body. The pull ring is connected to the main body and actuation button by fitting the pull ring around the first hook element, pressing the actuation button, pivoting the actuation button and main body until the second hook element is disposed within a central aperture of the pull ring, and releasing the actuation button so that the pull ring is retained in the hook elements under pressure by the spring.
MAGNETIC COUPLING DEVICE WITH MECHANICAL INTERLOCK FEATURES
A coupling device for releasably coupling two parts with one another includes first and second coupling members having magnets for holding the members with a magnetic holding force to self-center the members in an intermediate position. The coupling members are slidable to a locked condition in which mutual interlock portions engage and slidable to an unlocked position in which mutual unlock portions engage. The coupling members are uncoupled by sliding the members along a first unlocking path to the unlocked position and further moving the members along a directionally different separation path.
