HUMIDIFIER
A humidifier that can maintain high sealing performance between a separator and a water exchange membrane without applying an excessive external force to the separator even in the event of temperature change is provided. Humidifying modules each include plate-shaped separators each including a dry gas-side water exchange portion formed on one side and a water-containing gas-side water exchange portion formed on the other side. The humidifying module is structured by stacking a plurality of the separators in a state in which a water exchange membrane is disposed between the dry gas-side water exchange portion and the water-containing gas-side water exchange portion facing each other. A loop-shaped partition member that forms a pressurization space between the adjacent humidifying modules is provided in a state in which the humidifying modules are stacked to guide a fluid into the pressurization space.

A humidifier comprises at least one humidifier module, which has a membrane permeable to water vapor and respectively on both sides of the membrane, a flow field frame with at least two walls defining a flow channel. A thermal bridge with an increased thermal conductivity compared to the membrane protrudes through the membrane. A fuel cell device comprises such a humidifier and a motor vehicle includes a fuel cell device comprising such a humidifier.

A membrane humidifier has multiple stacking units mounted one on top of the other, where an individual stacking unit includes a flow plate and diffusion unit, where a circumference of the diffusion unit is formed by two oppositely situated first edge sides and two oppositely situated second edge sides. The diffusion unit includes: a top layer on a top side of the diffusion unit, a bottom layer on a bottom side of the diffusion unit, a moisture-permeable membrane, two oppositely situated upper receiving elements at the two first edge sides, on the top side of the diffusion unit, and two oppositely situated lower receiving elements at the two second edge sides, on the bottom side of the diffusion unit, where the flow plate of the stacking unit is inserted into the two lower receiving elements, and where the next stacking unit is inserted into the two upper receiving elements.
HUMIDIFIER, FUEL CELL DEVICE WITH HUMIDIFIER AND MOTOR VEHICLE
A humidifier for a fuel cell device is provided which includes a water vapor permeable membrane and at least one flow field arranged on one side of the membrane, in which flow channels are separated by flow field webs. The flow field webs are designed as hollow webs for integration into a coolant circuit. A fuel cell device with a humidifier as well as to a motor vehicle with such a fuel cell device are also provided.
Manufacturing method for gas diffusion sheet
In a manufacturing method for a gas diffusion sheet, when a first film is joined to a front end portion of a base material in a conveyance direction, a first joining material is made to penetrate a first overlapping portion where the first film and the base material are superimposed on each other, and the first film and the base material are thus joined to each other physically through the first joining material. When a second film is joined to a rear end portion of the base material in the conveyance direction, a second joining material is made to penetrate a second overlapping portion where the base material and the second film are superimposed on each other, and the base material and the second film are thus physically joined to each other through the second joining material.

A humidifier module for a humidifier in a fuel cell system is provided having a gas-permeable membrane, on one side of which there is arranged a flow field core defining a flow field, wherein the flow field core comprises at least two separating webs, between which a channel is formed. The separating webs are formed from a hygroscopic, not water-soluble material, such that a liquid flowing in the at least one channel can be stored temporarily in the hygroscopic separating webs. Furthermore, the invention relates to a humidifier having humidifier modules, a fuel cell system having a humidifier, and a method for humidifying a gas are also provided.

A humidity transfer assembly includes a pressure vessel and a humidity transfer device disposed in the pressure vessel. The humidity transfer device includes an enclosure, a first inlet line fluidly coupled to the enclosure and configured to supply anode exhaust thereto, a first outlet line fluidly coupled to the enclosure and configured to output anode exhaust therefrom, and a second inlet line fluidly coupled to the enclosure and configured to supply feed gas thereto. The humidity transfer device is configured to transfer steam from anode exhaust to feed gas and to output feed gas into the pressure vessel.
HUMIDIFIER FOR FUEL CELL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Disclosed are: a humidifier for a fuel cell, which can reliably prevent gas leaks due to repeated operations and shutdowns of a fuel cell and can be manufactured with relatively low manufacturing costs and high productivity as well; and a method for manufacturing same. A humidifier for a fuel cell of the present invention comprises a humidification module and caps coupled to both ends of the humidification module, respectively. The humidification module comprises: a mid-case having a step on the inner peripheral surface thereof; a plurality of hollow fiber membranes in the mid-case; a fixation layer on which ends of the hollow fiber membranes are potted; a bracket which is supported by the step of the mid-case and is in contact with the fixation layer; and a packing member in contact with the bracket and having a groove into which an end of the mid-case is inserted.

A fuel cell vehicle includes a fuel cell, an air compressor configured to draw in and discharge air, a cooler configured to cool air discharged from the air compressor, a humidifier configured to humidify air cooled by the cooler and to supply the humidified air to the fuel cell, and a system frame on which the fuel cell is disposed. The system frame accommodates at least a portion of each of the cooler and the humidifier therein.
Universal planar membrane device for mass transfer
A membrane device is presented that can used for a wide range of applications from once-through filtration, crossflow filtration, molecular separation, gas/liquid absorption or reaction, gas dispersion into liquid, and degassing of liquid. The device comprises a thin flat sheet membrane that allows certain fluid or molecules go through while blocking others. The membrane sheet is fixed on a supporting structure with mini channel on two sides of the membrane for respective feed and sweep flows. The membrane sheet is sealed with gaskets with two cover plates that the membrane sheet can be replaced or cleaned. The cover plate provides connection ports to connect the feed fluid to the feed channels on one membrane surface and to connect the sweep fluid to the sweep channels on the other surface of the membrane.
