An online impedance spectrum measuring device and method for a vehicle-mounted hydrogen fuel cell includes: a controllable alternating current source, configured to apply a sinusoidal alternating signal; a cell voltage signal preceding-stage measuring circuit, configured to select to communicate with one monocell via a voltage signal gating circuit; a current sensor and a cell current signal preceding-stage measuring circuit connected with the current sensor; and a signal conditioning and amplifying circuit, a multi-channel simultaneous sampling analog-digital conversion circuit, a digital signal processor and an upper computer, which are connected in sequence, wherein the signal conditioning and amplifying circuit is connected to the cell voltage signal preceding-stage measuring circuit and the cell current signal preceding-stage measuring circuit, separately; and the upper computer is connected with the controllable alternating source and the voltage signal gating circuit.
Fuel cell device and method for operating a fuel cell device
A fuel cell device is provided, including a media system for supplying fluid media to electrochemical units of the fuel cell device and/or for discharging fluid media from the electrochemical units of the fuel cell device, wherein the media system includes at least one valve to which, in a standard operating state of the fuel cell device, an electrical standard input power is suppliable in order to maintain the valve in a desired valve state. The fuel cell device is able to be reliably started with as little effort as possible, even under frost conditions. The fuel cell device is switchable into a heating operating state in which an electrical heating input power that is greater than the electrical standard input power is suppliable to the at least one valve.

A method of measuring impedance of a fuel cell stack in a vehicle during driving of the vehicle includes: determining whether an impedance measurement of the fuel cell stack is requested during driving of the vehicle driven by power of the fuel cell stack; turning off a first relay connected between the fuel cell stack and a battery charged by the fuel cell stack when the impedance measurement of the fuel cell stack is requested; connecting a stack load to the fuel cell stack via a second relay and supplying air to the fuel cell stack; and measuring the impedance of the fuel cell stack.
Methods and systems for estimating parameters of a cell at various charge-discharge profiles
A method for estimating a plurality of parameters pertaining to an electrochemical model of a cell may include: obtaining, by a device, an Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) spectrum and a Constant Current-Constant Voltage (CC-CV) charge-Constant Current (CC) discharge response of the cell; extracting, by the device, a plurality of features from the EIS spectrum and a plurality of features from the CC-CV charge-CC discharge response of the cell; and estimating, by the device, the plurality of parameters based on at least one of the plurality of features of the EIS spectrum and at least one of the plurality of features of the CC-CV charge-CC discharge response of the cell.
Apparatus having at least one fuel cell
The invention relates to a device (1) having at least one fuel cell (2) and a DC/DC converter (3) assigned to the latter. A variable voltage generated in the fuel cell (2) is converted, by means of the DC/DC converter (3), into a DC voltage for a system (4) to be supplied. The DC/DC converter (3) is designed to capture internal characteristic variables of the fuel cell (2). Operating states of the fuel cell (2) are captured and/or controlled in dependence on these characteristic variables.

METHOD OF MONITORING AND REPLACING FUEL CELL STACKS WITHIN A FUEL CELL STACK ASSEMBLY
A method of monitoring and replacing fuel cells within a fuel cell stack assembly. The method includes measuring one or more operating conditions of a fuel cell within the fuel cell stack assembly. The method includes determining, using a processor, a state of health of the fuel cell based at least in part on the one or more operating conditions. The method includes detaching the fuel cell from an adjacent cell within the fuel cell stack assembly by removing a first electrically-conducing mating matrix associated with a first endplate of the fuel cell from a second electrically-conducing mating matrix associated with a second endplate of the adjacent cell. The method includes attaching a replacement fuel cell by mating a third electrically-conducing mating matrix associated with a third endplate of the replacement fuel cell with a fourth electrically-conducing mating matrix associated with a fourth endplate of the adjacent cell.

The anode of the sensing fuel cell is thinner than the anodes of the power generating fuel cells.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SIMULTANEOUS DETECTION OF A PLURALITY OF PARAMETERS OF A PLURALITY OF MEMBRANE ELECTRODE ASSEMBLIES OF FUEL CELL STACK
Provided is a method for simultaneous detection of parameters of membrane electrode assemblies of a fuel cell stack, which includes: supplying hydrogen to an anode of the fuel cell stack and inert gas to a cathode of the fuel cell stack, controlling operating conditions of the fuel cell stack at respective preset values; applying different voltage excitations or micro-current excitations to the fuel cell stack, collecting a current signal of an entire stack and a voltage signal of each fuel cell; and analyzing a hydrogen crossover current, a catalyst electrochemical surface area, a double-layer capacitance, and a short-circuit resistance of a membrane electrode assembly of each fuel cell based on an excitation-response formula of a fuel cell. The present disclosure does not limit a form of a current or voltage excitation, thereby improving accuracy of a parameter test of a membrane electrode assembly while reducing the test cost.
