MINIMALLY INVASIVE METHODS AND APPARATUS
Methods and apparatus are provided to facilitate the minimally invasive removal of tissue biopsies and to facilitate the direct approach to anesthetizing the chest wall, in accordance with embodiments of the present invention. A pull-type cutting device 1 comprises two coaxially nested tubes, each extending from a proximal end 21 to a distal end 22. The first tube 61 defines a guide wire lumen 23 for slidingly receiving a guide wire. The second tube 63 extends over the first tube 60 and coupled thereto at the distal end 22 defining an expandable portion 13 adjacent the distal end 22. The second tube 63 defines an inflation lumen 25 extending from the shaft proximal end 21 to the expandable portion 13. The inflation lumen 25 communicates inflation fluid from the proximal end 21 to the expandable portion 13 so as to inflate and deploy the expandable portion 13. Disposed adjacent the shaft distal end 22 is a cutting head 10 comprising the expandable portion 13 having a cutting portion 11 distal from the shaft distal end 22.
STEERABLE ENDOLUMINAL PUNCH
A transseptal punch with a steering mechanism within the punch, such that punch can be steered and deflected within a guide catheter during delivery, to avoid skiving of the guide catheter inner wall by passage of the punch tip through the guide catheter. The punch can be advanced through a body lumen in its straight configuration and then be selectively articulated or curved to permit negotiation of tortuous curvature or to permit optimal approach or access to a puncture site. The punch is able to create holes in the atrial septum of the heart or other structures and is easier to use than punches that are pre-curved near their distal tip since it is easier to advance through accessory catheters.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR TREATING NEUROPATHIES IN CARDIAC TISSUE
Methods, medical systems, and devices for delivering platelet rich plasma, stem cells, exosomes or other extracellular vesicles, growth factors, neuregulins, hormones, extracellular matrix tissue or microvascular tissue fragments allograft, autograft, or xenograft, anti-inflammatories, steroids, and/or other whole, sectioned, particulated, micronized, or otherwise manipulated substances naturally occurring or synthetic that produce, promote, or enhance angiogenesis, reduce inflammation, reduce oxidative stress, promote healing, and/or otherwise reverse neuropathies or improve function of underlying tissues.
High-voltage pulse ablation systems and methods
High-voltage pulses ablation systems and methods are used to ablate tissue and form lesions. A variety of different electrophysiology devices, such as catheters, surgical probes, and clamps, may be used to position one or more electrodes at a target location. Electrodes can be connected to power supply lines and, in some instances, the power to the electrodes can be controlled on an electrode-by-electrode basis. High-voltage pulse sequences provide a total amount of heating that is typically less than that which is observed with thermally-based radiofrequency energy ablation protocols.
