Occurrence of unnecessary conduction or damage upon insertion of a plate-shaped signal transmission medium can be prevented by a simple configuration. The rigidity relation between a medium abutting portion and a coupling beam portion of a contact member is configured so that a contact point portion of the contact member is positioned in the interior of a contact housing portion in a stage before a plate-shaped signal transmission medium is sandwiched when the plate-shaped signal transmission medium is to be inserted to the interior of a medium insertion path along a medium guide surface of an insulating housing. By virtue of this, the contact point portion of the contact member is configured to be maintained in a state in which it is lowered below the medium guide surface upon insertion of the plate-shaped signal transmission medium so that the contact point portion of the contact member does not contact the plate-shaped signal transmission medium.

Electrical connector and electrical contact configured to reduce resonance along a stub portion

Electrical contact or electrical connector having the electrical contact. The electrical contact has a mating segment that is configured to engage another contact and has a contact end and a contact surface. The contact surface includes a mating zone that is located a distance from the contact end. The mating zone is configured to intimately engage the other contact for electrical communication between the electrical contact and the other contact. The mating segment has a stub portion that extends between the contact end and the mating zone. At least a portion of the contact surface along the stub portion has a textured area that is more textured than the contact surface at the mating zone. The textured area is configured to dampen reflected energy that propagates between the mating zone and the contact end.

Electrical card connector with contact module

A card connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts received in the insulative housing and a metallic cover covering the insulative housing. The contact includes a retaining portion, an extending portion horizontally and forwardly extending from the retaining portion, a connecting portion downwardly and forwardly aslant extending from the extending portion, a floating portion downwardly from the connecting portion and a contacting portion further downwardly extending from the floating portion. There are two bending points on linking portions of the connecting portion connecting with the floating portion and the extending portion, respectively. By such arrangement, when the electrical card is inserted, the contact can rotate about the two bending points in turn, that can improve an elasticity of the contact.

Large current transmission connector

The application discloses a large current transmission connector including the pallet assembly and the socket assembly. The pallet assembly includes the pallet and the guide pillar. The socket assembly includes a socket. The socket includes mounting holes and pins. The locking structure is arranged in the mounting hole. The locking structure is used for fixing the guide pillar on the socket and for conveying a current between the pallet assembly and the socket assembly. When the guide pillar and the locking structure are fixed together, the two guide pillars not only play the role of guiding, but also can carry the large current of 50 A. Thus, this connector does not need to set aside a lot of space for mounting the power supply pins. The space of the connector is saved effectively. The miniaturization trend of the connector is met.
