STRIPPING PLIERS

Stripping pliers have two outer clamping jaws, two inner cutting jaws and two handle parts, wherein, in the course of pressing together the handle parts, the cutting jaws can be displaced from a starting position into an end position by means of a pull rod against the force of a spring acting on the pull rod. The pull rod is traversed by a pull pin which can move in a slot. In order to configure the stripping pliers such that they are further improved in a manner which is advantageous for handling, the pull rod has, at its handle-side end, a displacement part which is fastened to the pull rod and which is displaceable against the force of the spring relative to the pull rod, to free the pull rod from a handle-side mounting.

Snap adapter for tool component
10819091 · 2020-10-27 · ·

A snap adapter for a wire stripping tool has a hollow body with a tool end, a component end, and a button. The tool end is sized for insertion into the tool body and the component end is sized for receiving a component meant to strip a cable of a specified diameter. The button comprises a pin feature for attaching the received component. Inserting the component into the snap adapter forces the pin away from the snap adapter hollow body to allow for full insertion of the component into the tool body. A spring disposed between the hollow body and button pushes the pin feature upwards through the hollow body to hold the component inside the snap adapter once the component is fully inserted. Removing the component requires pushing down the button to extract the pin feature, which allows the component to be slideably removed from the tool body.

GRIPPER JAWS AND BLADES FOR AN INSULATION STRIPPER, AND INSULATION STRIPPER

Gripper jaws for an insulation stripper have a gripping surface and an attachment extension with ribs which run transversely to a longitudinal direction of a cable to be gripped when the gripping surfaces are fitted, and have groove-like recesses corresponding to the ribs and running between the latter. When the gripper jaws are fitted, the ribs can enter into the recesses of the opposing gripper jaw in accordance with the thickness of the cable to be gripped. Blades for an insulation stripper have, on their free ends that run into a blade tip with an acute angle in cross-section, a contour line which has a depression, when seen from a side view in which the contour line forms the termination line of the blade.

The invention relates to stripping pliers (1). During a cutting stroke of the stripping pliers (1), cutting blades (14a, 14b) radially cut into an insulation of a cable (13). In a subsequent break-away stroke, the partially cut sub-region (33) of the insulation of the cable (13) is broken away. Finally, in a stripping stroke the broken away sub-region (33) is pulled along the longitudinal axis (19) of the cable (13) from the electrical wire (39). In order to avoid that in the stripping stroke, wherein the forces between the cable and the cutting blades (14a, 14b) suddenly drop, the hand levers (2, 3) perform an uncontrolled fast closing movement according to the invention at the transition from the break-away stroke to the stripping stroke a spring element and/or damping element (37) becomes effective which preferably comes into contact with a roller (36) of a lever (22).

Embodiments disclosed herein include devices and methods for gripping and stripping an electrical wire. The tool may include a body, having a first portion with a curved tip, and a second portion. The tool may also include a closing mechanism mounted on the body, and an elongated member having a protruding tip and coupled to the closing mechanism. The elongated member can slidably move towards the second portion, causing the protruding tip to move away from to the curved tip, with respect to movement of the closing mechanism for receiving at least a portion of an electrical wire inserted into the opening, or move towards the first portion, causing the protruding tip to move toward the curved tip, with respect to another movement of the closing mechanism for gripping the received portion of the electrical wire.

Coating removal tool

A coating removal tool includes a base part and a cover part, to remove a coating of an optical fiber by overlapping the cover part and the base part. The base part and the cover part are made of resin, and include at least a pair of coating removal blades including a base front blade portion provided on the base part and a cover front blade portion provided on the cover part. The base part includes a V-groove which sandwiches the optical fiber in either one or both of a front and rear of the optical fiber in the longitudinal direction and the cover part includes a V-groove which sandwiches the optical fiber and is provided on a side where the V-groove exists in the front and rear of the longitudinal direction in a state where the cover part and the base part are overlapped.

An electrical wire outer coating splitting device featuring an elongated sleeving element, a nearly as long closed hole space within the sleeving element and having a vertically inclined central axis of symmetry and with the notch portion thereof cut into the outer walling of the sleeving element at a bias relative to the lie of the axis of symmetry and with the notch portion thereof being further amenable to removable receipt and dependable holding of the body portion of a seam ripper element.

STRIPPING UNIT OF A PRESSING TOOL, PRESSING TOOL AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING AN ADJUSTMENT UNIT

A stripping unit of a pressing tool for cutting into and stripping a conductor insulation of a conductor cable has a first clamping jaw with a first clamping lip and a cutting unit mounted in the clamping jaw. An adjustment unit for variably adjusting a cutting depth of the cutting unit is arranged in the clamping jaw. Also described are a pressing tool and a method for mounting an adjustment unit of a stripping unit.

Hand Tool with Stripping Function

A hand tool with a stripping function comprises a first body, a second body, a first and a second handle plier, a pivot, an upper jaw section, and a lower jaw section. The first and second bodies respectively have a first and a second moving piece and a first and a second fixing member. The second handle plier is arranged symmetrically with the first handle plier and connected to the second moving piece. The pivot is pivotally connected to the first and second bodies and to the first and second handle pliers at the same time. When the first and second handle pliers converge, the movement of the first and second moving pieces drives the upper jaw section to move closer to the lower jaw section such that the insulating layer of the cable can be cut and separated by continuous pressing.
