System and method for selective treatment of skin and subcutaneous fat using a single frequency dual mode radio frequency antenna device
A radio frequency system capable of selectively heating skin and subcutaneous fat tissues using a single frequency dual mode antenna device is disclosed. A detailed description and theory of operation of the antenna device are disclosed. The antenna device disclosed herein is capable of generating electric fields that are either mostly tangent, or mostly normal, to the skin surface, resulting in either predominantly heating skin or predominantly heating fat. The method for treating skin and subcutaneous fat tissues using such system is also disclosed.
Surgical Method and Apparatus for Destruction and Removal of Intraperitoneal, Visceral, and Subcutaneous Fat
The embodied invention is a method of removing intraperitoneal fat by using a freezing cryoprobe and inserting it into the abdominal cavity. The freezing cryoprobe is covered by a vacuum sleeve which provides for a method for abdominal fat removal once the cells are damaged. A multi-step surgical procedure is used to freeze, irrigate, and remove the destroyed fat tissue. Also, an ultrasonic transmitter is inserted into an outer cryoprobe sheath to assess organ position with the advantage of an internal transmitter which greatly aids in organ identification.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING ACTIVATION OF MULTIPLE APPLICATORS FOR TISSUE TREATMENT
Systems and methods for applying energy to treat body areas having fat deposits are disclosed in which treatment energy is applied to a patient with a plurality of energy applicators each in contact with a target body subarea of the patient's skin, thereby heating the skin and underlying tissue, including fat. The temperature of fat tissue of each target body subarea may be sensed, and the application of energy to the corresponding energy applicator may be terminated if the temperature exceeds a maximum temperature for the subarea, which may be individually defined by a system user.
AESTHETIC METHOD OF BIOLOGICAL STRUCTURE TREATMENT BY MAGNETIC FIELD
In combined methods for treating a patient using time-varying magnetic field, treatment methods combine various approaches for aesthetic treatment. A magnetic field generating device is placed proximate to a body region of the patient. The magnetic field generating device generates a time-varying magnetic field with a magnetic flux density in a range of 0.5 to 7 Tesla. The time-varying magnetic field is applied to the body region of the patient in order to cause a contraction of a muscle within the body region. A second therapy may be used by applying one or more of optical waves, radio frequency waves, mechanical waves, negative or positive pressure or heat to the body region of the patient.
Aesthetic method of biological structure treatment by magnetic field
Combined methods for treating a patient using time-varying magnetic field are described. The treatment methods combine various approaches for aesthetic treatment. The methods are focused on enhancing a visual appearance of the patient.
Methods and Devices for Treatment of Subcutaneous Fat
Disclosed are methods and devices suitable for transdermally killing adipocytes in a subcutaneous fat layer of a human subject.
Aesthetic method of biological structure treatment by magnetic field
Methods for treating a patient using time varying magnetic field are described. The treatment methods combine various approaches for aesthetic treatment. The methods are focused on enhancing a visual appearance of the patient.
DISSECTION HANDPIECE AND METHOD FOR REDUCING THE APPEARANCE OF CELLULITE
A dermatological skin treatment device is provided. The device comprises a handpiece and a cutting tool, wherein the tool is inserted through the conduit and percutaneously inserted into a tissue disposed within a recessed area of the handpiece. The device and method cut the fibrous structures under the skin that cause cellulite at an angle substantially parallel to the surface of the skin and replace these structures with a non-cellulite forming structure by deploying a highly fibrous mesh through a single needle hole to create a highly fibrous layer directly or through wound healing processes.
Subdermal Cryogenic Remodeling of Muscles, Nerves, Connective Tissue, and/or Adipose Tissue (Fat)
Embodiments include cryogenic systems and methods for treating pain or spasm associated with a nerve of a patient. A target nerve may be located and a distal end of a cryogenic system needle may be inserted into a tissue at a desired location in proximity to the target nerve. The needle includes an outer lumen and an inner lumen extending distally within the outer lumen, the inner lumen including a distal opening that is open to the outer lumen. A cooling fluid may be delivered from a cooling fluid source to the needle via a fluidic pathway, the fluidic pathway including the cooling fluid source, the inner lumen, and the outer lumen, wherein a flow of the cooling fluid cools the needle so that the needle cools the target nerve at the desired location sufficiently such that the pain or spasm is inhibited.
CRYOPROTECTANT FOR USE WITH A TREATMENT DEVICE FOR IMPROVED COOLING OF SUBCUTANEOUS LIPID-RICH CELLS
A cryoprotectant for use with a treatment device for improved removal of heat from subcutaneous lipid-rich cells of a subject having skin is provided. The cryoprotectant is a non-freezing liquid, gel, or paste for allowing pre-cooling of the treatment device below 0 C. while preventing the formation of ice thereon. The cryoprotectant may also prevent freezing of the treatment device to the skin or ice from forming from moisture seeping out from the skin. The cryoprotectant may further be hygroscopic, thermally conductive, and biocompatible.
