AESTHETIC TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for aesthetic treatment of skin including an apparatus that applies or a method involving separating tissue to eliminate or reduce the appearance of unwanted features. In one approach, an interventional tool is placed between tissue layers to engage and treat connecting tissue layers.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR TREATMENT OF OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA UTILIZING CRYOLYSIS OF ADIPOSE TISSUES
Methods, devices, and systems employ cryolysis of oropharyngeal adipose tissues to selectively remove fat cells from the tissues causing obstructive sleep apnea. In various embodiments, a chilled liquid—e.g., a liquid or air—is applied to the target tissue at a temperature and for a duration sufficient to cause cryolysis.
AESTHETIC METHOD OF BIOLOGICAL STRUCTURE TREATMENT BY MAGNETIC FIELD
A device for enhancement of visual appearance including a first applicator to be coupled to a first area of a body region, with a first magnetic field generating device and a first radiofrequency electrode, a second applicator to be coupled to a second area of the body region, with a second magnetic field generating device. The device further includes a first energy storage device, a second energy storage device, and a first switching device to discharge energy from the first energy storage device to the first magnetic field generating to generate a first time-varying magnetic field to cause muscle contraction, and a second switching to discharge energy from the second energy storage device to the second magnetic field generating device to generate a second time-varying magnetic field. The first radiofrequency electrode may provide first radiofrequency waves causing heating of tissue within the first area of the body region.
HIGH FREQUENCY HYPERTHERMIA DEVICE AND HYPERTHERMIA METHOD USING THE SAME
Provided is a high frequency hyperthermia device which includes a main body (110) which includes a high frequency generator (114) which generates high frequency currents using drive power, a hand piece (120) which is connected to the main body (110) through a cable (140) and in which a handle (121) to be gripped by a user is disposed on an upper portion of the hand piece (120), and four or more contact electrodes (122), through which the high frequency currents being supplied are applied to skin (S) in contact with the contact electrodes (122) to generate deep heat in an internal body, are disposed on a lower surface of the hand piece (120), and an alternating switch (130) which is disposed between and connected to the high frequency generator (114) and the contact electrodes (122) in a circuit manner and which supplies the high frequency currents output from the high frequency generator (114) to the contact electrode (122), wherein the contact electrodes (122) are divided into pairs each having two contact electrodes (122), and the high frequency currents are alternately supplied to the pairs at a first speed.
SELF-OPERATING BELT
A method of treating tissue of a patient uses a device including a mother case, a belt, at least one treatment unit and at least two applicators. The treatment method may include attaching first and second applicators to the belt at a working distance to the patient's surface, and providing different treatment energy to the first applicator and the second applicator. A treatment pattern is created by the applicators providing the different treatment energies. The hardware pattern or positions of the applicators on the belt may be changed before and/or during the treatment. The hardware pattern may be based on selected treatment effect and body part.
Thermal Devices and Methods of Visceral Fat Reduction
Embodiments described herein are directed to methods of treating visceral fat where the method includes the steps of identifying visceral fat to be treated, inserting a laparoscopic device into the visceral fat to be treated, inserting a treatment instrument into the laparoscopic device such that a distal treatment section of the treatment device is delivered into the visceral fat, cooling the distal treatment section and the visceral fat adjacent to the distal treatment section to a cooling temperature no colder than approximately −20° C., and wanning the distal treatment section and the visceral fat adjacent to the distal treatment section to a temperature greater than the cooling temperature.
METHODS OF TREATING SUBCUTANEOUS FAT LAYERS
A slurry is injected into a subject at a treatment site selected from the group consisting of (i) a deep subcutaneous fat layer, (ii) a superficial subcutaneous fat layer, and (iii) the deep subcutaneous fat layer and the superficial subcutaneous fat layer. Fat cells in the selected treatment site are ablated by the slurry. For example, the slurry is injected into (i) the deep subcutaneous fat layer only, (ii) the superficial subcutaneous fat layer only, (iii) the deep subcutaneous fat layer followed by the superficial subcutaneous fat layer, (iv) the superficial subcutaneous fat layer followed by the deep subcutaneous fat layer, or (v) the deep subcutaneous fat layer and the superficial subcutaneous fat layer simultaneously.
System for tissue dissection and aspiration
A dermatological skin treatment device is provided. The device comprises a handpiece and a cutting tool, wherein the tool is inserted through the conduit and percutaneously inserted into a tissue disposed within a recessed area of the handpiece. The device and method cut the fibrous structures under the skin that cause cellulite at an angle substantially parallel to the surface of the skin and replace these structures with a non-cellulite forming structure by deploying a highly fibrous mesh through a single needle hole to create a highly fibrous layer directly or through wound healing processes. A tool is provided to aspirate excess fluid and tissue from the treatment area.
Laser system delivering ultra-short pulses along multiple beam delivery paths
A laser system includes a laser source generating a laser beam having ultra-short pulses; a laser delivery assembly optically receiving the laser beam and comprising: a beam splitter configured to split the laser beam between a first beam delivery path and a second beam delivery path; and at least one focusing lens optically coupled to the beam splitter and configured to focus the laser beam from each of the first beam delivery path and the second beam delivery path to a focal point on a predefined plane; wherein the first beam delivery path intersects the predefined plane at a first angle, the second beam delivery path intersects the predefined plane at a second angle, and a first pulse from the first beam delivery path and a second pulse from the second beam delivery path are coincident at the focal point.
Cooling and refrigeration based on vacuum-driven water evaporation
Apparatus for cooling an object, space, or tissues of a patient. A vacuum chamber is designed to be placed in thermal contact with the object or space to be cooled, or against a patient to be treated. A water sprayer is configured to spray water into the vacuum chamber or against a cooling wall of the chamber. A vacuum pump and control are designed to maintain vacuum below ambient pressure in the vacuum chamber sufficient to cause accelerated evaporation of the water and cooling to a temperature desired for cooling of the object, space, or patient.
