The present disclosure provides method and system determining an optimal set of operating parameters for desired clinical outcome. The method comprises to receive treatment or target skin data comprising skin characteristics associated with skin to be treated with an aesthetic treatment by the aesthetic skin treatment unit and preset operating parameters for performing the aesthetic treatment. Further, the treatment data is analyzed using plurality of trained models to predict plurality of sets of operating parameters for the aesthetic skin treatment unit to perform the aesthetic treatment. Using the plurality of sets of operating parameters, an optimal set of operating parameters is determined for performing the aesthetic treatment by the using the aesthetic skin treatment unit. By proposed system and method, accurate set of operation parameters may be predicted to achieve desired clinical outcomes, without human intervention.
OPTICAL ANALYZER ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR INTRAVASCULAR LITHOTRIPSY DEVICE
A catheter system for treating a treatment site within or adjacent to a vessel wall includes a light source, a balloon, a light guide, and an optical analyzer assembly. The light source generates light energy. The balloon is positionable substantially adjacent to the vascular lesion. The balloon has a balloon wall that defines a balloon interior that receives a balloon fluid. The light guide receives light energy from the light source at a guide proximal end and guides the light energy toward a guide distal end and into the balloon interior. The optical analyzer assembly is configured to optically analyze light energy emitted from the guide proximal end of the light guide.
OPTICAL ANALYZER ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR INTRAVASCULAR LITHOTRIPSY DEVICE
A method for treating a treatment site within or adjacent to a vessel wall or a heart valve, includes the steps of (i) generating light energy with a light source; (ii) positioning a balloon substantially adjacent to the treatment site, the balloon having a balloon wall that defines a balloon interior that receives a balloon fluid; (iii) receiving the light energy from the light source with a light guide at a guide proximal end; (iv) guiding the light energy with the light guide in a first direction from the guide proximal end toward a guide distal end that is positioned within the balloon interior; and (v) optically analyzing with an optical analyzer assembly light energy from the light guide, wherein the light energy that is analyzed moves in a second direction that is opposite the first direction.
Laser Induced Collagen Crosslinking in Tissue
The presently disclosed subject matter provides techniques for inducing collagen cross-linking in human tissue, such as cartilage, by inducing ionization of the water contained in the tissue to produce free radicals that induce chemical cross-linking in the human tissue. In an embodiment, a femtosecond laser operates at sufficiently low laser pulse energy to avoid optical breakdown of the tissue being treated. In an embodiment, the femtosecond laser operates in the infrared frequency range.
PHOTOCOAGULATION APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD OF PHOTOCOAGULATION APPARATUS, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A photocoagulation apparatus of some embodiment examples is configured to apply both treatment light for subthreshold coagulation and an OCT scan to a retina via a probe inserted in an eye. Upon receiving a user's instruction, the apparatus applies the treatment light to the retina, and applies an OCT scan to the retina at least after the treatment light application. The apparatus compares the first OCT image constructed from OCT data of the retina acquired prior to the treatment light application and the second OCT image constructed from OCT data of the retina acquired after the treatment light application, thereby acquiring change information that represents a tissue change in the retina caused by the treatment light. The apparatus displays a change image based on the change information together with a retinal image.
CATHETER ABLATION DEVICE WITH TEMPERATURE MONITORING
The invention relates to a catheter ablation device for delivery of energy to a selected region of tissue, the device having an antenna portion including a radiating antenna electrically connectable via an electrical feedline to a source of energy, the antenna configured to generate an electromagnetic field able to ablate tissue in said selected region of tissue, the device including a thermocouple having a hot junction formed by electrical connection between a thermocouple conductor and a conducting part of the electrical feedline. This avoids the need for a dedicated thermocouple conductor pair, as the second conductor of the thermocouple is provided by the feedline used to supply the ablation energy to the device antenna. The thermocouple conductor may be a pull wire, such that its manipulation from a proximal portion of the catheter results in selective manipulation of the catheter at said antenna portion, the hot junction electrical connection providing a point of mechanical connection between the pull wire and the electrical feedline to enable the manipulation.
OPTICAL PROBE, MEDICAL LASER PROBE, AND CAUTERIZATION DEVICE
An optical probe includes: an optical fiber; a reflecting portion; and a traveling direction changing portion changing a traveling direction of a laser beam of a first wavelength that has transmitted through the reflecting portion to a direction different from a traveling direction before transmitting through the reflecting portion. Further, the traveling direction changing portion is configured by a bending structure having a structure in which a portion on a distal end side of the optical fiber is bent, and the reflecting portion is provided closer to a proximal end side of the optical fiber than the bending structure.
CATHETER ABLATION DEVICE WITH IMPEDANCE MONITORING
The invention relates to a catheter ablation device for delivery of energy (such as microwave energy) via a radiating antenna to a selected region of tissue, the device having an elongated catheter with an outer sheath, configured to allow flow of fluid along the catheter to exit through one or more orifices adjacent to the antenna. The device includes an impedance monitoring system having two electrodes arranged respectively inside and outside said catheter sheath, the impedance monitoring system including an electric circuit incorporating an ionic conductivity path through said fluid. The device is introduced into a blood vessel and the invention allows monitoring of changes in the size of the blood vessel during an ablation procedure, as it can be used to measure the impedance of an electrical circuit including a blood path in the blood vessel in the region of the ablation, the measured impedance providing a measure of vascular calibre.
