Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for supporting a UE in reporting of a selection of an NZP CSI-RS resource to an eNB supporting FD-MIMO communication. Each NZP CSI-RS resource is associated with a unique NZP CRI (or Beam Index) on a given serving cell. The UE may select an NZP CSI-RS resource for CSI calculation and reporting to the eNB based on processed CSI-RS signals received at an antenna of the UE from the eNB of a serving cell of the UE based on a CSI-RS resource configuration for the UE signaled from the eNB. The UE may report a CRI and a CSI of the selected NZP CSI-RS resource to the eNB of the serving cell of the UE based on a CRI reporting configuration of the UE signaled from the eNB.
Channel state information feedback method, user equipment, and base station
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a channel state information feedback method, which includes: determining, by user equipment, N CSI-RS resources according to a quantity N, configured by a base station, of CSI-RS resources that need to be fed back; performing channel estimation on a port included in the N CSI-RS resources, to obtain channel state information in a horizontal dimension; then selecting M CSI-RS resources from the N CSI-RS resources; and feeding back channel state information of the M CSI-RS resources in the horizontal dimension and indication information of the M CSI-RS resources to the base station, so that the base station determines channel state information in a vertical dimension according to the indication information, so as to finally obtain channel state information in the two dimensions, thereby resolving a problem that channel state information in only a horizontal dimension is fed back during conventional channel estimation.
CODEBOOK-BASED SIGNAL TRANSMISSION/RECEPTION METHOD IN MULTI-ANTENNA WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND DEVICE FOR SAME
Disclosed are a codebook-based signal transmission and reception method in a multi-antenna wireless communication system and an apparatus therefor. Specifically, a method for transmitting or receiving a signal on the basis of a codebook by a terminal in a 2-dimensional multi-antenna wireless communication system comprises the steps of: receiving a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) through a multi-antenna port from a base station; and reporting channel state information to the base station, wherein the channel state information may include a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) for indicating a precoding matrix, the PMI may include a first PMI for selecting a set of precoding matrixes from the codebook and a second PMI for selecting one precoding matrix from the set of precoding matrixes.

A method, system, and device for transmitting coding instruction information, for use in solving the problem as current codebooks are designed for horizontal beamforming/pre-coding, direct application of the codebooks to a three-dimensional beamforming/pre-coding technology causes performance degradation. The method of embodiments of the present invention comprises: a user equipment determines and transmits to a network side first pre-coding instruction information and second pre-coding instruction information, where a first component pre-coding matrix is a block diagonal matrix, a submatrix on the diagonal is equal to the Kronecker product of two matrices, a second component pre-coding matrix is constituted by a weighted column selection vector, with the exception of a P-number of nonzero elements, the remainder of the weighted column selection vector is all zeros, and P is a positive integer. Employment of the method of the embodiments of the present invention increases the performance of the three-dimensional beamforming/pre-coding technology.
MANAGING OF CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION IN A MULTIPLE-ANTENNA COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method for managing channel state information in a wireless communication system comprises obtaining a base set of channel state information of a channel between a first node and a second node based on at least one transmission signal. A dedicated reference signal, specific for a limited set of nodes comprising the second node is transmitted within a channel subspace selected in dependence of the obtained base set of channel state information. At least one common channel state information reference signal specific for an intended coverage area of the first node is transmitted. The common channel state information reference signal allows for obtaining a fall-back set of channel state information of a channel between the first node and the second node. The fall-back set of channel state information represents coarser granularity, in spatial dimensions, than the base set of channel state information.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) and a network entity may utilize multi-port mobility reference signals to assist with spatial based mobility procedures. The UE may receive a reference signal that is associated with multiple antenna ports. The UE may measure a multi-dimensional channel response based on the reference signal. The multi-dimensional channel response may be associated with measured channel metrics corresponding to the multiple antenna ports. The UE may transmit a report that includes a channel measurement vector based on the multi-dimensional channel response. The channel measurement vector may indicate multiple measured channel metrics for one or more dimensions of the multi-dimensional channel response. The network entity may transmit a message that indicates one or more metrics associated with mobility management for the UE based on the report that indicates the channel measurement vector.

At least one of the first matrix is determined from a first matrix set based on the first information, wherein the first matrix set is determined based on a horizontal-dimension parameter of an antenna of the terminal device; or the second matrix is determined from a second matrix set based on the first information, wherein the second matrix set is determined based on a vertical-dimension parameter of the antenna.
Method for feeding back CSI information in wireless communication system, and apparatus therefor
The present application provides a method for feeding back, by a terminal, CSI information in a wireless communication system to which 3D beamforming is applied. Here, the method comprises the steps of: receiving a pilot signal from a base station; and feeding back first CSI information for a horizontal direction domain and second CSI information for a vertical direction domain on the basis of the 3D beamforming. Here, when a precoding indicator is a first value, first wideband (WB) CSI information and second wideband (WB) CSI information may be fed back, and when the precoding indicator is a second value, first subband (SB) CSI information and second subband (SB) CSI information may be fed back.
