In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE determines a plurality of messages containing channel state information to be reported to a base station. The UE also determines a priority level for each of the plurality of messages based on at least one predetermined rule. The UE further selects one or more messages from the plurality of messages based on priority levels of the plurality of messages. The UE then sends the selected one or more messages to the base station.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a channel information feedback method, a channel information determining method, a receive end device, and a transmit end device. The channel information feedback method includes: generating at least one piece of description information for each of a plurality of subbands included in a wideband, where each piece of description information is used to describe a description vector of a channel matrix corresponding to the subband, the description information includes at least one of a vector parameter and a weighting parameter; and sending the at least one piece of description information. The embodiments of the present invention further provide a channel information determining method, a receive end device, and a transmit end device. A precoding effect can be improved when precoding is performed based on the description vector fed back in the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present invention.
Method And Apparatus For Linear Combination Codebook Design And CSI Feedback In Mobile Communications
Techniques and examples pertaining to linear combination codebook design and channel state information (CSI) feedback in mobile communications are described. Frequency-dependent parameterization is supported to reduce signaling overhead in reporting beam selection and to enhance CSI resolution. Additionally, the number of candidates for beam selection depends on the strength of each beam to be selected such that more candidates are considered for a stronger beam than for a weaker beam. Moreover, amplitude quantization and/or phase quantization for beams of different strengths are different to reduce quantization error.

A method for operating user equipment (UE) in an advanced wireless communication network. The method comprises receiving, from an eNodeB (eNB), downlink signals indicating precoder codebook parameters that include a first number of antenna ports (N.sub.1) for a first dimension, a second number of antenna ports (N.sub.2) for a second dimension, and a codebook configuration, swapping precoder matrix indicator (PMI) expressions based on the N.sub.1 and N.sub.2, and the codebook configuration in order to derive a first PMI pair (i.sub.1,1, i.sub.1,2), and a second PMI (i.sub.2) using a single precoder codebook, and transmitting, to the eNB, channel state information (CSI) including the first PMI pair and the second PMI.

Disclosed are a codebook-based signal transmission and reception method in a multi-antenna wireless communication system and an apparatus therefor. Specifically, a method for transmitting or receiving a signal on the basis of a codebook by a terminal in a 2-dimensional multi-antenna wireless communication system comprises the steps of: receiving a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) through a multi-antenna port from a base station; and reporting channel state information to the base station, wherein the channel state information may include a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) for indicating a precoding matrix, the PMI may include a first PMI for selecting a set of precoding matrixes from the codebook and a second PMI for selecting one precoding matrix from the set of precoding matrixes.

A feedback information transmission/reception method for use in a mobile communication system is provided. The feedback information transmission method includes receiving configuration information on at least two reference signals and feedback configuration information for use in generating feedback information based on the at least two reference signals from a base station, receiving the at least two reference signals from the base station, measuring the at least two reference signals received, generating the feedback information based on the measurement result according to the feedback configuration information, and transmitting the feedback information to the base station.

Example embodiments are presented for codebook subset restriction and precoder selection in wireless communications systems. For instance, an example method for codebook subset restriction at a user equipment (UE) is presented. In the example method, the UE can receive, from a network node such as a gNB, codebook subset restriction (CBSR) signaling for a first component common to precoders in a first group of codebooks. In an aspect of the present disclosure, a restriction of the first component maps to a restriction of a second component and the second component is common to precoders in a second group of codebooks. In addition, the example method includes restricting precoders selectable from a codebook in the second group of codebooks based on the second component. Network-side methods are presented, as well as example UEs and network nodes.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION REFERENCE SIGNAL (CSI-RS)
Methods and apparatuses for CSI reporting mechanisms are provided. A user equipment (UE) includes a transceiver and a processor operably connected to the transceiver. The transceiver is configured to receive information indicating a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource configuration, uplink-related downlink control information (DCI), and a CSI-RS associated with a selected CSI-RS resource in a same subframe as the uplink-related DCI. The processor configured to determine, in response to a CSI request included in the uplink-related DCI, an aperiodic CSI in reference to the CSI-RS. The transceiver is further configured to report the aperiodic CSI by transmitting the aperiodic CSI on an uplink channel.
