Hybrid beamforming-based open-loop MIMO transmission method and apparatus therefor
A method for a transmitter of a mobile communication system transmitting and receiving signals according to an embodiment of the present specification comprises the steps of: transmitting to a receiver system information for transmitting a signal to the receiver including a connection between a wireless resource and a transmitting antenna; transmitting a reference signal to the receiver based on the system information; and receiving from the receiver feedback information generated based on the reference signal. According to an embodiment of the present specification, in a beamforming transmission method of a mobile communication system, a transmitter can determine whether to perform digital pre-coding without advance information from a receiver and can consequently perform a transmission, and can thereby perform lower-overhead and efficient signal transmission/reception.
GENERATING AND PROCESSING MULTI-USER DATA UNITS FOR WLAN
A first field of a preamble includes a plurality of indications of respective numbers of spatial or space-time streams for respective receivers to enable each receiver among the multiple receivers to determine a respective set of one or more training sequences, in a plurality of training sequences, that corresponds to the receiver. A second field of the preamble includes respective modulation and coding scheme information for the respective receivers. The preamble is generated such that i) the first field is transmitted prior to the plurality of training sequences, and ii) the second field of the preamble is transmitted after the plurality of training sequences are transmitted. A data portion of the multi-user data unit is generated using respective modulation and coding schemes for the respective receivers. Thee multi-user data unit is transmitted such that data for the respective receivers are transmitted via respective sets of one or more spatial or space-time streams.
TRANSMISSION METHOD, RECEPTION METHOD, TRANSMITTER, AND RECEIVER
In a transmission method according to one aspect of the present disclosure, a encoder performs error correction coding on an information bit string to generate a code word. A mapper modulates a first bit string in which the number of bits is the predetermined integral multiple of (X+Y) in the code word using a first scheme, the first scheme being a set of a modulation scheme in which an X-bit bit string is mapped to generate a first complex signal and a modulation scheme in which a Y-bit bit string is mapped to generate a second complex signal, and modulates a second bit string in which the first bit string is removed from the code word using a second scheme different from the first scheme.
Use of orthogonal coding to help facilitate multi-layer transmission of user-plane data from closely spaced antennas
Disclosed is a mechanism to help a user equipment device (UE) transmit multiple distinct bit streams concurrently to a base station with reduced risk of interference. The UE will orthogonally encode the multiple distinct bit streams using orthogonal binary codes to produce orthogonally encoded bit streams, and the UE will add the orthogonally coded bit streams together to produce a resulting bit stream and will transmit that resulting bit stream on an antenna path to the base station. Upon receipt of the transmitted bit stream, the base station could then apply the same orthogonal binary codes to the bit stream in order to extract the underlying multiple distinct bit streams.
Multi-Site Mimo Cooperation In Cellular Networks
A method of serving a given data stream to a target mobile terminal, in a cellular communications network that includes a plurality of transmitting sites wherein each transmitting site including at least one antenna, is provided. The method includes designating at least two of the plurality of transmitting sites as cooperating sites; assigning tones to each transmitting site from a sub-band associated with the cooperating sites; dividing the data stream into at least two sub-data streams, each of the sub-data streams for transmission over selected tones; and interlacing tones of the cooperating sites in accordance with a selected one of a time switching and a frequency switching transmit diversity technique. Other techniques for multi-site MIMO cooperation are also provided.
WLAN SYSTEM RESOURCE INDICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
The present invention provides a WLAN system resource indication method and apparatus. The method includes: generating, by an access point, a frame that carries resource indication information; and sending, to multiple stations, the frame that carries the resource indication information. The resource indication information includes multiple pieces of sub resource indication information. Correspondingly, each piece of the sub resource indication information uniquely corresponds to one of the multiple stations. Therefore, a station side does not need read the entire resource indication information, so as to reduce resource overheads and improve efficiency.
METHODS AND APPARATUS RELATING TO CONTROL CHANNEL DECODING IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
The disclosure provides methods and apparatus which relate to control channel decoding in a wireless communications network. In one aspect, there is provided a method in a wireless device for a wireless communications network. The method includes receiving a first set of coded control symbols on a physical control channel in a first time slot, receiving a second set of coded control symbols on the physical control channel in a second time slot subsequent to the first time slot, and attempting to decode a control message based on the first set of coded control symbols and the second set of coded control symbols using one or more soft-combining techniques.
Full duplex wireless transmission with self-interference cancellation
Two-way (full-duplex) wireless communications. Various embodiments measure interference channels and provide for interference cancellation in both analog and digital domains to mitigate self-interference. The system supports multiple clients wherein new clients can join the network asynchronously, and also supports Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) antennas.
Multi-Antenna Processing for Reference Signal
The methods and apparatus disclosed herein processes reference signals in an antenna diversity system, e.g., where both the transmitting and receiving devices use multiple antennas The solution presented herein process reference signals at the transmitting device in such a way to enable the receiving device to efficiently and accurately estimate the covariance matrix associated with data transmitted using transmitter diversity. This is achieved by processing the reference signals used for the covariance estimation and the data signals in the same way, e.g., by precoding data and reference signal portions of one or more signals using the same coding scheme.
