APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD OF COMMUNICATING A PHYSICAL LAYER PROTOCOL DATA UNIT (PPDU)
For example, an EDMG STA may be configured to generate a plurality of spatial streams of an EDMG PPDU; map the plurality of spatial streams to a respective plurality of pairs of space-time streams according to an STBC scheme by mapping a first data sequence of a spatial stream to a first symbol in an odd numbered space-time stream, mapping a second data sequence of the spatial stream to a second symbol in the odd numbered space-time stream, mapping a sign inverted complex conjugate of the second data sequence to a first symbol in an even numbered space-time stream, and mapping a complex conjugate of the first data sequence to a second symbol in the even numbered space-time stream; and transmit a transmission comprising the plurality of pairs of space-time streams over a channel bandwidth in a frequency band above 45 Gigahertz (GHz).
System and Method for Mapping Symbols for MIMO Transmission
Methods and devices are provided for MIMO OFDM transmitter and receivers having odd and/even numbers of transmit antennas. Various methods for pre-coding information bits before space time coding (STC) are described for enabling transmission of information bits over all antennas. Methods of decoding received signals that have been pre-coded and STC coded are also provided by embodiments of the invention. Pilot patterns for downlink and uplink transmission between a base station and one or more wireless terminals for three transmit antenna transmitters are also provided. Variable rate codes are provided that combine various fixed rate codes in a manner that results in codes whose rates are dependent on all the various fixed rate codes that are combined
Techniques and apparatuses for transmit diversity while maintaining low peak to average power ratio
Some techniques and apparatuses described herein may assign resource elements of a particular resource block for transmission by two or more different antennas in a fashion such that the symbols are interleaved in frequency and/or in time, which improves frequency diversity of the two or more different antennas, thereby improving uplink performance of the UE. In some aspects, when the two or more resource blocks are contiguous, then each antenna may produce an interleaved frequency division multiple access (IFDMA) waveform, which may maintain peak to average power ratio (PAPR) properties of a single channel FDMA transmission. Thus, some techniques and apparatuses described herein may achieve transmit diversity and/or frequency diversity of a stream of symbols on two or more antennas without significantly increasing the PAPR of the stream of symbols.
Method for transmitting and receiving channel state information (CSI) in wireless communication system, and apparatus therefor
A method for transmitting and receiving channel state information (CSI) in a wireless communication system, and an apparatus therefor are disclosed. Specifically, a method for a terminal transmitting CSI in a wireless communication system supporting multi-user superposition transmission (MUST) may comprise the steps of: reporting to a base station a first precoding matrix indicator (PMI) indicating a precoding matrix that is the most preferred by the terminal, and a first channel quality indicator (CQI) that is calculated assuming use of the first PMI; and reporting to the base station a second PMI indicating a precoding matrix that is secondly preferred by the terminal, and a second CQI that is calculated assuming use of the second PMI.
Method for configuring channel state information reporting band and communications apparatus
This application provides a method for configuring a channel state information reporting band, a reporting method, and a corresponding apparatus. The method includes: determining a channel state information subband size based on a bandwidth part BWP; and determining, a quantity of channel state information subbands included in a channel state information reporting band, based on a carrier bandwidth CC bandwidth or the bandwidth part BWP bandwidth or a channel state information reference signal CSI-RS bandwidth, and the channel state information subband size. The method further includes: determining an actual quantity of resource blocks included in a starting subband and an actual quantity of resource blocks included in an ending subband in the channel state information subband. Implementation of this application makes configuration of a quantity and size of subbands in a CSI reporting band more flexible, and reduces complexity of terminal addressing.
WLAN SYSTEM RESOURCE INDICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
A WLAN system resource indication method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: generating, by an access point, a frame that carries resource indication information; and sending, to multiple stations, the frame that carries the resource indication information. The resource indication information includes multiple pieces of sub resource indication information. Correspondingly, each piece of the sub resource indication information uniquely corresponds to one of the multiple stations. Therefore, a station side does not need read the entire resource indication information, so as to reduce resource overheads and improve efficiency.
System and method for antenna diversity using equal power joint maximal ratio combining
.[.An equal gain composite beamforming technique which includes the constraint that the power of the signal output by each antenna is the same, and is equal to the total power of the transmit signal divided by the number N of transmit antennas from which the signal is to be transmitted. By reducing output power requirements for each power amplifier, the silicon area of the power amplifiers are reduced by as much as N times (where N is equal to the number of transmit antennas) relative to a non-equal gain composite beamforming technique..]. .Iadd.A method and apparatus are disclosed for a transmission technique by a wireless communications device which includes providing that the power applied to each transmit antenna may be equal to the total power of the transmit signal divided by the number N of transmit antennas from which the signal is to be transmitted. The device may determine a total transmit power and produce a multi-carrier signal for transmission. Accordingly, the device may apply a power to each of the N transmit antennas, for the multicarrier signal, which is equal to the total transmit power divided by N. Further, the device may produce a weight for each of the N transmit antennas used. The device may weight the multi-carrier signal for each antenna per the produced weight. Each transmit antenna signal may be amplified by an amplifier coupled to that antenna..Iaddend.
