Antenna selection for user equipment (UE) power saving during PDCCH monitoring
Exemplary embodiments include methods for receiving one or more physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) using a selectable number of available antennas and receive chains. Embodiments can include receiving a configuration associated with one or more PDCCHs, wherein the configuration includes, for each PDCCH, a search space comprising a plurality of PDCCH candidate. Embodiments can include selecting a first number of antennas and receive chains for PDCCH reception, wherein the first number comprises the minimum number of the available antennas and receive chains needed to meet one or more PDCCH performance metrics. Embodiments can include selecting, for PDCCH reception, either the first number of antennas and receive chains, or a greater second number of antennas and receive chains. Embodiments can include receiving the PDCCH using the selected number of antennas and receive chains, Other embodiments include UEs configured to perform operations corresponding to the exemplary methods.

In one embodiment, a method is disclosed, comprising: performing traffic analysis to determine off-peak hours duration when traffic is light; updating downlink and uplink schedulers to transmit a minimum required signaling and control information; and wherein updating downlink and uplink scheduler for minimum required signaling and control information further comprises scheduling, in a downlink direction, at least one of transmitting only reference symbols over selected OFDM symbols, PDCCH on up to a first three OFDM symbols, PSS and SSS on a central six PRB s and PBCH.
AUDIO/VIDEO TRANSMITTING DEVICE AND WIRELESS DISPLAY SYSTEM
An Audio/Video (A/V) transmitting device may include a Radio Frequency (RF) transmitting module configured to transmit a compressed RF packet to an RF receiving module of an A/V receiving device, the RF transmitting module including a plurality of transmitting antennas, and a processor configured to obtain radio performance between the RF transmitting module and the RF receiving module and, when the obtained radio performance satisfies a preset radio performance, sequentially turn off one or more transmitting antennas among the plurality of transmitting antennas.
ANTENNA ELEMENT FEED PATH COMPONENT MANAGEMENT FOR 5G-NR MILLIMETER WAVE
Systems and methods providing antenna element feed path component management for facilitating millimeter wave communication are described. Embodiments can enable and provide mitigation of thermal, power consumption, and/or maximum permissible exposure issues with respect to millimeter wave communication, such as by 5.sup.th generation (5G) or new radio (NR) compliant user equipment. Accordingly, embodiments are configured to manage transceiver antenna element feed path components to mitigate thermal, power consumption, and/or MPE concerns. For example, a communication device configured in accordance with concepts herein may reduce or otherwise control temperatures of various components, device power consumption, and/or user exposure to millimeter wave energy, such as to improve user experience, avoid component failure, extend battery life, etc.
CONTROL DEVICE, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND CONTROL METHOD
The present invention suppresses a deterioration of transmission performance and reduces an adverse effect on health of a user, irrespective of the kind of selected antennas. A control section includes antenna selecting section configured so that in a case where a plurality of signals are simultaneously transmitted and where a mobile communication terminal is in a certain use state, the antenna selecting section selects at least one of a first antenna through a fourth antenna so that a distribution range of power densities or of specific absorption rates have no overlapping portion or have an overlapping portion equal to or less than a certain range.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADAPTIVE ANTENNA CONFIGURATION IN A USER EQUIPMENT
The disclosure relates to a method and system for adaptive antenna configuration in a user equipment comprising one or more antenna modules, each of the one or more antenna modules comprising a plurality of patch elements. The method comprises: determining whether a signal strength of the UE is above a signal threshold, determining whether a mobility of the UE is below a mobility threshold based on determining that the signal strength is above the signal threshold, determining at least one active antenna module based on determining that the mobility of the UE is below the mobility threshold, and deactivating at least one patch element in the at least one antenna module.
Method and apparatus for adjusting antenna module, and storage medium
A method for adjusting an antenna module can be applied to a terminal and include: transmitting, to a base station, the sending capability information of at least one antenna module of the terminal and/or the receiving capability information of at least one antenna module of the terminal; and according to a control signaling transmitted by the base station, controlling at least one antenna module of the terminal to work or stop working. Transmission efficiency of the terminal can therefore be improved, or be maintained while saving the power consumption of the terminal.
DETECTION OF LEAKY AND ROGUE ACCESS POINTS
Certain aspects relate to methods, apparatuses, computer readable mediums and access terminals that effectively (1) detect leaky or rogue access points and (2) take one or more actions based on such detection.
Interface device providing power management and load termination in distributed antenna system
Certain aspects involve an interface device for a distributed antenna system (DAS). In some aspects, the interface device can include an interface, a power detector, and a processor. The interface can include one or more ports for communicatively coupling the interface device to a base station and a switch that is switchable between first and second configurations. The first configuration connects a port to a downlink path of the DAS, and the second configuration connects the port to a signal reflection path. The processor can switch the switch between the first and second configurations based on a signal power measured by the power detector at the port. In other aspects, the interface device can include additional ports and termination loads. The processor can cause a signal path to be connected to a termination load instead of a port based on the port being disconnected from a unit of the DAS.
CHANNEL-SOUNDING METHOD USING A PLURALITY OF ANTENNAS, AND APPARATUS FOR SAME
