Beamforming method and device based on phase shifter switching control, and system
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a beamforming method and device based on phase shifter switching control, and a system. The method includes: acquiring a channel vector of a channel of each of low-load terminals; acquiring, based on the channel vector, contribution degrees of phase shifters corresponding to the channel; sequentially changing a connected state of each of the phase shifters from closing to opening based on the contribution degrees of the phase shifters corresponding to the channel, calculating a to-be-processed signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) of the low-load terminal after changing the connected state of the phase shifter once, stopping to change the connected state of the phase shifter if the to-be-processed SINR meets a preset condition, and changing the connected state of the phase shifter meeting the preset condition to the closing.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FRONTHAUL TRANSMISSION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method performed by an open radio access network (O-RAN) distributed unit (O-DU) in a wireless communication system, the method includes: generating a control plane message comprising User Equipment (UE) scheduling information; and transmitting the control plane message to an open radio access network (O-RAN) radio unit (O-RU). The control plane message further includes section extension information. The section extension information comprises bit masking information indicating antennas to be combined.
GENERALIZED BEAMFORMER
In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a device. The device applies N.sub.so sensing beam vectors to N.sub.so received signals at N.sub.ant antennas to obtain N.sub.so measurements, respectively, N.sub.so and N.sub.ant each being an integer greater than or equal to 1. The device determines a beam vector based on the N.sub.so measurements and the N.sub.so sensing beam vectors.
METHOD FOR ANTENNA SELECTION OF USER EQUIPMENT
The invention provides a method for antenna selectin of a user equipment (UE). The UE may comprise a plurality of antennas. The method may comprise calculating one or more quality evaluations respectively associated with one or more first antenna subsets, and selecting one of the one or more first antenna subsets according to the one or more quality evaluations. Each antenna subset may include one or more of the plurality of antennas. Each quality evaluation may be calculated under a condition that the antenna(s) included in the associated antenna subset is (are) used to communicate.
User equipment and method for activating PUCCH spatial relation
A user equipment and a method for activating a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) spatial relation are provided. The method includes receiving, from a base station (BS), a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) including a first field and a second field, the first field indicating an identifier (ID) of a specific PUCCH spatial relation to be activated or deactivated, the second field indicating an ID of a specific PUCCH resource; applying the MAC CE to all PUCCH resources in a specific PUCCH group that includes the specific PUCCH resource in a case that the MAC CE is identified by a first LCID; and applying the MAC CE to the specific PUCCH resource in a case that the MAC CE is identified by a second LCID.
Methods and apparatus for flexible configuration of fronthaul split radio units
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which radio units (RUs), distributed units (DUs), or combinations thereof, may have a single hardware configuration that may be configured to implement different functions for radio frequency (RF) and baseband processing at a base station. A desired functionality for a RU or DU may be identified, and the RU or DU may be configured to implement the functionality through run-time configuration or boot images to implement a particular set of functions that may be needed for a particular cell or deployment. A RU or DU may be reconfigured following an initial configuration to perform different functions following the reconfiguration.
Autonomous beam configuration in radio frequency repeaters
Aspects of the disclosure relate to beam configuration for RF repeaters. An RF repeater is configured to measure received power of one or more signals in the repeater for each of a plurality of beam directions. Further, the repeater determines a beam forming configuration for a fronthaul link between the repeater and at least one base station based on the measured received power of each of plurality of beam directions. The repeater may also be configured to determine beam configurations for access links between the repeater and user equipment.
System and method for a digitally beamformed phased array feed
Systems and methods are provided for a digital beamformed phased array feed. The system may include a radome configured to allow electromagnetic waves to propagate; a multi-band software defined antenna array tile; a power and clock management subsystem configured to manage power and time of operation; a thermal management subsystem configured to dissipate heat generated by the multi-band software defined antenna array tile; and an enclosure assembly. The multi-band software defined antenna array tile may include a plurality of coupled dipole array antenna elements; a plurality of frequency converters; and a plurality of digital beamformers.
