MACHINE-TO-MACHINE COMMUNICATION MECHANISMS
The present techniques generally describe a machine-implemented method for configuring a retransmission timer, the method performed at the server comprising: receiving, from a client, a first handshake message as part of a first handshake with the client; deriving a retransmission parameter from the first handshake message; setting a first wait time of the retransmission timer based on or in response to the retransmission parameter.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECEIVING TARGET DOWNLINK SIGNAL, AND DEVICE AND SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for receiving a target downlink signal, and a terminal and a system, wherein same belong to the field of communications and are applied to uplink and downlink transmission of an unlicensed frequency band. The method comprises: a terminal waiting to receive a target downlink signal in a first window; and when the terminal receives, in the first window, an indication sent by an access network device and indicating that a channel has been acquired, starting a second window. Waiting to receive the target downlink signal in the second window can solve the problem of additional power consumption caused by the terminal performing unnecessary monitoring for a long period of time when a base station cannot occupy an unlicensed band.
Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) handling for discontinuous reception
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for wireless communications and more specifically for handling hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes with discontinuous reception (DRX) operations. In some implementations, a user equipment (UE) may use a timer to maintain an ON duration in a DRX cycle based on receiving a downlink control information (DCI) message with a data-to-feedback timing indicator (for example, a K1 value) indicating a non-numeric value for a data message. For example, the UE may receive a DCI message with feedback timing for the data message based on maintaining the ON duration. In some other implementations, a UE may use a timer to maintain an ON duration following a feedback opportunity to support dynamic group-based HARQ messaging. For example, the UE may receive a DCI message requesting a retransmission of feedback information based on maintaining the ON duration.
METHOD AND MOBILE TERMINAL FOR PERFORMING RANDOM ACCESS
A mobile terminal performs a random access procedure with a network that includes transmitting to the network a random access preamble directly allocated to the mobile terminal by the network and receiving a random access response from the network in response to transmission of the random access preamble. The terminal performs a discontinuous reception (DRX) operation that controls how the mobile terminal monitors a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). The DRX operation employs an active time in which the mobile terminal monitors the PDCCH, and the active time includes a time while: (i) an on-duration timer or a DRX Inactivity timer or a DRX retransmission timer or a contention resolution timer is operating, (ii) a scheduling request procedure is pending, (iii) an uplink grant for a retransmission can occur, or (iv) the PDCCH indicating a new transmission addressed to a Cell-Radio Network Temporary Identifier (C-RNTI) of the mobile terminal has not yet been received after successful reception of the random access response.
Uplink MAC protocol aspects
Methods of operation of a wireless device are provided. In particular, Media Access Control (MAC) protocol aspects are disclosed relating to Licensed Assisted Access (LAA) cells and, more generally, to cells of a cellular communications network operating in an unlicensed frequency spectrum. According to one aspect, a method of operation of a wireless device comprises transmitting an Uplink (UL) transmission on a cell for a corresponding UL Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) process, the cell operating in an unlicensed frequency spectrum, and setting a locally maintained status for the UL HARQ process to Acknowledgement (ACK) based on an assumption that the UL transmission was successful.
Scheduling wireless communications
Control information may be used to schedule communications between a wireless device and a base station. The wireless device may monitor control channels associated with one or more cells to receive the control information.
Wireless Device Control Channel Monitoring
A wireless device comprises one or more processors and memory storing instructions. When executed by the one or more processors, the instructions cause the wireless device to receive messages comprising a downlink hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) round-trip-time (RTT) timer value expressed in units of symbols and a downlink discontinuous reception (DRX) retransmission timer value expressed in units of slot lengths, receive a downlink control information indicating downlink transmission of a transport block, start a downlink HARQ RTT timer with the downlink HARQ RTT timer value in response to receiving the downlink control information, start a downlink DRX retransmission timer with the downlink DRX retransmission timer value in response to the downlink HARQ RTT timer expiring and the transport block not being successfully decoded, and monitor a downlink control channel while the downlink DRX retransmission timer is running.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECEIVING UE TO PERFORM POWER SAVING OPERATION BASED ON PSFCH IN NR V2X
A method of operating a first apparatus 100 in a wireless communication system is proposed. The method may comprise: obtaining an SL DRX configuration including information related to an SL DRX HARQ RTT timer; receiving SCI for scheduling a PSSCH from a second apparatus through a PSCCH based on an active time of the SL DRX configuration; receiving a MAC PDU through the PSSCH from the second apparatus; and starting the SL DRX HARQ RTT timer, based on that a PSFCH resource is configured in an SL grant related to the SCI and that a HARQ feedback related to the MAC PDU is disabled.
METHOD OF PROCESSING TRANSMISSION, TERMINAL AND NETWORK DEVICE
A method of processing transmission, a terminal and a network device are provided. The method of processing transmission applied to a terminal includes: when a MAC layer of the terminal receives a data packet from a first logical channel and data packets from the first logical channel correspond to K first processes, starting a first timer or a first counter for each first process, where k≥1; triggering starting of a second timer when the first timer expires or the first counter reaches a first preset value; performing a target operation when at least one second timer is running, wherein the target operation includes one of following: sending first notification information to a network device, where the first notification information is used to instruct the network device to perform transmission processing on the first logical channel; or performing the transmission processing on the first logical channel.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING RANDOM ACCESS AND DISCONTINUOUS RECEPTION IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The disclosure relates to a 5th generation (5G) or 6th generation (6G) communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method performed by user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving, from a base station (BS), a unicast related downlink signal, in case that a unicast discontinuous reception (DRX) and a multicast DRX are configured, stopping a unicast DRX retransmission timer based on the received unicast related downlink signal, and stopping a multicast DRX retransmission timer based on the received unicast related downlink signal.
