The terminal device includes a transmission unit configured to repeatedly transmit uplink control information including at least one CQI using a plurality of PUCCHs in a plurality of subframes, in a case where uplink control information is transmitted in the PUCCH in an initial subframe included in the plurality of subframes, based on whether the uplink control information includes an HARQ-ACK, (i) the uplink control information is transmitted using the PUCCH in a first subframe included in the plurality of subframes, or (ii) the uplink control information is not transmitted in the first subframe included in the plurality of subframes.
Validating uplink configured grants
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques are described herein for managing timers for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes associated with multiple configured grants that are active at the same time. Techniques are also described herein for allocating HARQ identifiers (IDs) to HARQ processes associated with multiple configured grants that are active at the same time. A user equipment (UE) may configure timers to be associated with a HARQ ID and a configured grant. A base station or UE may include indicators of the configured grants associated with a HARQ process when exchanging signaling about the HARQ process. A UE may allocate HARQ IDs to multiple configured grants to reduce a likelihood that HARQ processes collide.
Systems and methods for timing adaptation for satellite communications
Systems and methods for adapting a timer(s) for a satellite-based radio access network are disclosed. Embodiments of a method performed by a wireless device and corresponding embodiments of a wireless device are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device comprises obtaining a value to be used to offset, extend, and/or scale one or more timers related to the satellite-based radio access network relative to values for non-satellite-based radio access networks. The method further comprises utilizing the value to offset a start of one or more timers, extend one or more timers, and/or scale one or more timers and performing one or more actions based on the one or more offset timers, the one or more extended timers, and/or the one or more scaled timers. Embodiments of a method performed by a base station and corresponding embodiments of a base station are also disclosed.
Method and apparatus for handling DRX (discontinuous reception) operation in a wireless communication system
A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a UE. In one embodiment, the method includes monitoring a control channel for detection of an UL grant. The method further includes receiving the UL grant associated with a HARQ process on the control channel at a first timing. The method also includes sending an UL data associated with the UL grant on a data channel at a second timing. In additional, the method also includes starting a retransmission timer associated with the HARQ process after detection of the UL grant at a third timing. Furthermore, the method includes receiving a signaling indicating stop the retransmission timer at a fourth timing. In addition, the method includes stopping the retransmission timer and stopping monitoring the control channel, wherein the UE monitors the control channel when the retransmission timer is running.
Uplink mac protocol aspects
Methods of operation of a wireless device are provided. In particular, Media Access Control (MAC) protocol aspects are disclosed relating to Licensed Assisted Access (LAA) cells and, more generally, to cells of a cellular communications network operating in an unlicensed frequency spectrum. According to one aspect, a method of operation of a wireless device comprises transmitting an Uplink (UL) transmission on a cell for a corresponding UL Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) process, the cell operating in an unlicensed frequency spectrum, and setting a locally maintained status for the UL HARQ process to Acknowledgement (ACK) based on an assumption that the UL transmission was successful.
Method and device for transmitting random access and other uplink channels of other cell in mobile communication system carrier aggregation
The present invention relates to a transmission of a random access in a specific cell from a plurality of serving cells in a mobile communication system using a carrier aggregation technology, and a method for efficiently transmitting uplink channels other than the random access in another cell. In particular, the method for a terminal to transmit an uplink channel to a base station comprises the steps of: confirming whether an uplink channel for a second carrier having an uplink timing different from a first carrier is included in a subframe transmitting a Random Access Preamble for the first carrier; if included, confirming whether the sum of the electric power required for the transmission of the random access preamble and the electric power required for the transmission of the uplink channel exceeds the maximum transmission electric power of the terminal; and, if exceeding, transmitting the random access preamble preferentially before the uplink channel. In addition, the terminal for transmitting an uplink channel to a base station comprises: a transmitter/receiver for transmitting/receiving a signal to/from the base station; and a control unit for confirming whether the uplink channel for a second carrier having an uplink timing different from a first carrier is included in a subframe for transmitting a random access preamble for the first carrier, and if included, confirming whether the sum of the electric power required for transmitting the Random Access Preamble and the electric power required for transmitting the uplink channel exceeds the maximum transmission electric power of the terminal, and if exceeding, controlling the transmission so that the random access preamble is preferentially transmitted before the uplink channel.
SCHEDULING TIMER
A method in a user equipment (110) comprises receiving (604) a grant (305, 405, 505), the grant scheduling one or more dynamically-delayed transmissions (310A-C, 410A-C, 510A-C) for the user equipment. The method comprises in response to receiving the grant, starting (608) a timer associated with dynamically-delayed scheduling, wherein at least one of a start time of the timer and a duration of the timer is configured such that the user equipment is active when an acknowledgement of the one or more dynamically-delayed transmissions is expected to be received by the user equipment.
