Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) retransmission using multiple timers

Apparatuses, methods and software are provided. The first apparatus comprises at least one processor; and at least one memory including computer program codes; the at least one memory and the computer program codes are configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the device at least to transmit a transport block of a HARQ process on preconfigured resources for an uplink transmission to a second apparatus while starting a first timer and a second timer for the HARQ process. The first timer indicates a time period during which the transport block is able to be retransmitted, and wherein the second timer is configured to expire before the first timer; monitor a response associated with the transport block from the second apparatus; and in response to the second timer expiring before receiving the response and before expiry of the first timer, retransmit the transport block while restarting the second timer.

Mechanism to recover receiver radio link control after multiple unsuccessful automatic repeat query attempts

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE), comprising initiating a timer upon reception of a first segmented packet of a plurality of packets of an RLC physical data unit (PDU) at radio link control (RLC) layer, resetting the timer when a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer receives an RLC PDU from the RLC layer, and upon expiry of the timer, initiating a radio recourse control (RRC) connection reestablishment (RRE) procedure with a network.

Initiator apparatus, target apparatus, communication system, timeout detection method, and timeout detection program

Provided is an initiator apparatus that, when issuing access requests for remote access via wireless communication to a storage section that processes only one access request at a time, can easily detect timeouts with one timer irrespective of the number of access requests issued via wireless communication. In this apparatus, an access-request processor (102) sends one or more access requests to a target apparatus (110) provided with a storage section that processes only one access request at a time and receives access acknowledgments for the access requests from the target apparatus (110). Until all the access requests are completed, a timeout detector (103) resets the timer operation and starts it again each time an access request is sent or an access acknowledgment is received, and detects a timeout when the timer operation exceeds a timeout period.

HYBRID AUTOMATIC REPEAT REQUEST (HARQ) FEEDBACK OPERATION WITH SIDELINK UNLICENSED

Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for sidelink feedback reporting over an unlicensed spectrum in a wireless communication system. In aspects, a transmitting UE monitors for a feedback response for a sidelink transmission from one or more receiving UEs at each feedback occasion of a sidelink feedback window. A receiving UE attempts to transmit the feedback response by performing a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure at each feedback occasion of the sidelink feedback window. In aspects, the sidelink feedback window may be defined as a plurality of sidelink feedback occasions, or may be defined as a duration of an LBT timer covering a plurality of sidelink feedback occasions. The receiving UE stops attempting to transmit the feedback response once the receiving UE successfully performs an LBT procedure at a feedback occasion, and the transmitting UE stops monitoring for a feedback response a feedback response is successfully received.

Method And Apparatus For Autonomous Retransmissions On Configured Grants In Mobile Communications

Various solutions for autonomous retransmission on configured grant with respect to user equipment and network apparatus in mobile communications are described. An apparatus may start a first timer and a second timer when a transmission is performed on a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process configured for a configured grant. The apparatus may perform an autonomous retransmission using the configured grant when the second timer is expired. The apparatus may cancel restart of the first timer when the autonomous retransmission is performed. The apparatus may restart the second timer when the autonomous retransmission is performed. The apparatus may stop the second timer when the first timer expires. The apparatus may stop the second timer at the activation of a type 2 configured grant.

Terminal apparatus

A terminal apparatus includes a control information detection unit configured to detect first and second DCI, and a transmitter configured to perform UL data transmission based on the first DCI or cancel a resource allocated in the second DCI. A UL grant using the first DCI is detected, when performing UL data transmission based on the UL grant, after the data transmission, a first timer for a corresponding HARQ process is started and a second timer is stopped, and when the first timer expires, the second timer for a HARQ process is started. When cancellation of the UL data transmission using the second DCI is detected, at a timing for the data transmission canceled, the second timer is restarted in a case that the first timer expires and the second timer is running, and the second timer is started in a case that the second timer is not running.

Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a first communication node operating in a wireless communications network. The first communication node adjusts a value of a Contention Window, CW, from a first value to a second value, the second value being a higher value than the first value, wherein adjusting the value is based on: one or more feedback timers having expired at a time of performing a sensing procedure in the absence of: a) a received uplink, UL, grant from a second communication node, or b) a downlink feedback from the second communication node for an Autonomous Uplink, AUL, transmission from the first communication node. Following adjusting the value, the first communication node initiates a sensing procedure performed prior to a transmission of an UL burst to the second communication node, wherein the sensing procedure uses the adjusted value of the CW.

A method and an apparatus for automatic retransmission and error recovery for packet oriented point to multipoint communication, which integrates adaptive and dynamic responsiveness for parameters for automatic retransmission using wireless communication, are provided. A wireless communication link is divided into a downstream portion and an upstream portion. Parameters are selected for automatic retransmission independently for the downstream portion and the upstream portion of the wireless communication link. A BSC controls the selection of parameters for automatic retransmission for all CPE within a cell. As part of a TDD frame, in which the BSC and the CPE share communication bandwidth using a TDMA technique, the BSC includes its selection of parameters for automatic retransmission to be used by CPE within a control section of the TDD frame. The BSC dynamically and adaptively determines new selected parameters for automatic retransmission, in response to a wireless communication link with each independent CPE.
