SURGICAL DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS USING FIDUCIAL IDENTIFICATION AND TRACKING
In general, devices, systems, and methods for fiducial identification and tracking are provided.
TREATMENT TOOL, TREATMENT SYSTEM, AND TREATMENT METHOD
A treatment tool includes a tubular member including an opening and a tubular member main body that has a tubular shape. The tubular member is configured to suction a tissue piece through the opening. The treatment tool includes a blade member provided on an opening edge of the opening.
Arthroscopic devices and methods
Arthroscopic cutters are used for resecting tissues, such as meniscal tissues, in meniscectomies or other arthroscopic procedures. The arthroscopic cutters have a shaft assembly with openable-closeable jaws at a working end of the shaft. A handpiece having a motor drive may be detachably coupled to a hub on a hub end of the handpiece. When the shaft is coupled to the handpiece, the motor drive will couple to the jaw structure to open and close the jaw structure to cut meniscal and other tissues.
INTRACARDIAC DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
Improvements to intracardiac devices such as intracardiac blood pump assemblies, and associated methods. In one example, the present technology includes systems and methods for pacing the heart, and/or performing cardiac ablation using electrodes mounted on a portion of the intracardiac device. In another example, the present technology includes systems and methods for detecting mural thrombi in a patient's heart using electrical sensors or ultrasonic phased arrays mounted on the intracardiac device. In another example, the present technology includes systems and methods for detecting tissue changes and reactions in heart tissue during treatment using one or more temperature sensors. In another example, the present technology includes an improved distal tip for use with an intracardiac device. In another example, the present technology includes systems and methods for maintaining an intracardiac device in a desired position within a patient's heart using magnets or ultrasonic phased arrays mounted on the intracardiac device.
ULTRAHYDROPHOBIC COATINGS ON DEVICE CUTTING ELEMENTS
Various embodiments disclosed relate to a non-stick layer for cutting elements on electrosurgical cutting tools. The present disclosure includes systems, devices, and methods of making and using a non-stick layer on cutting elements. The non-stick layer can include coatings, surface structures, or combinations thereof. In one example, the medical device includes a hydrophobic coating with a hydrophobic nanoscale physical structure. In one example, the medical device includes a heated cutting assembly, such as a resistive heated cutting assembly.
System and method for an improved graphical user interface that provides independent control of multiple radiofrequency probes during an ablation procedure
A system for delivering energy to a patient's body includes a plurality of probes, a touch-sensitive display screen, and a controller communicatively coupled to each of the probes and the display screen. The controller is configured to perform operations including displaying a plurality of dynamically sized channel control regions within a user interface of the touch-sensitive display screen. Each of the plurality of channel control regions corresponds with at least one of the plurality of probes and is sized based at least in part on a number of the plurality of probes. The operations can include detecting a user touch action directed to a user-selected channel control region of the plurality of dynamically sized channel control regions. The operations can include performing a control action associated with the probe(s) that correspond with the user-selected channel control region when the user touch action is detected.
THERAPEUTIC CATHETER WITH IMAGING
Ablation systems and methods of the present disclosure include a catheter including one or more image sensors. The one or more image sensors can facilitate, for example, positioning an ablation electrode at a treatment site of an anatomic structure and, additionally or alternatively, can facilitate controlling delivery of therapeutic energy to a treatment site of an anatomic structure.
SYSTEM AND METHOD TO EVOKE SMOOTH MUSCLE RESPONSE DURING SURGERY
A smooth muscle stimulation device is intended for use with any one of a variety of electrosurgical units (ESU's) of the type used in tissue resection and other procedures that risk damage to non-target tissues. The smooth muscle stimulation devices typically include an enclosure with stimulation circuitry configured to generate a stimulatory electrical signal which when delivered to a target anatomy induces an observable response in the target anatomy during a medical procedure. An input connector on the enclosure detachably couples to a power output of the ESU, and an output connector on the enclosure detachably couples to an electrosurgical tool. Switching circuitry within the enclosure selectively connects either the power output of the ESU or the stimulatory electrical signal of the stimulation circuitry to the output connector in response to user input.
SURGICAL DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR CONTROL OF ONE VISUALIZATION WITH ANOTHER
In general, devices, systems, and methods for control of one visualization with another are provided.
SURGICAL DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS USING MULTI-SOURCE IMAGING
In general, devices, systems, and methods for multi-source imaging are provided.
