Predictive indicator based on network performance
10749699 · 2020-08-18 · ·

A network load traffic management component is communicatively coupled to a radio access network (RAN). The network load traffic management component includes a subscriber scoring module and a subscriber scoring database that operates on a server processor and a server memory. The network load traffic management component identifies at least one network event corresponding to a RAN control plane. The network load traffic management component monitors each network event for a session time, in which each session time is associated with each subscriber interacting with the RAN. The network load traffic management component, repeatedly, determines a performance measurement for each network event associated with each session time. The performance measurement for each network event is recorded. A subscriber score is generated based on the performance measurements for each network event. A predictive indicator score is generated based on subscriber scores and behavioral analytics associated with each subscriber.

SUBSCRIBE AND PUBLISH METHOD AND SERVER
20200195740 · 2020-06-18 ·

This application relates to the communications field, and discloses a subscribe and publish method and a server. A server receives a publish message sent by a publish client, and obtains an identifier of the publish client based on the received publish message. The server may search a subscribe tree based on a topic name in the publish message, to obtain an identifier of a subscribe client, obtain, based on the identifier of the subscribe client and a first mapping table, a first label corresponding to the identifier of the subscribe client, and obtain, based on the identifier of the publish client and the first mapping table, a second label corresponding to the identifier of the publish client. In this way, the server may match the obtained first label with the obtained second label, and send the publish message to the subscribe client.

METHOD FOR MONITORING AND CONTROLLING SESSION TRAFFIC USAGE, SERVER AND STORAGE MEDIUM

A method for monitoring and controlling session traffic usage, includes: receiving traffic usage increment information of a first session and a second session reported by a first PCF and a second PCF; accumulating a total traffic usage of the first session and the second session according to the received traffic usage increment information; determining whether a current total traffic usage reaches a threshold value of a total issued traffic usage; and sending the total traffic usage information of the first session and the second session to the first PCF and the second PCF in response to that the current total traffic usage reaches the threshold value of the total issued traffic usage and in response to that the current total traffic usage does not reach the threshold value of the total issued traffic usage, repeating above steps.

Over-The-Top Internet Service Provisioning

Novel tools and techniques for provisioning OTT internet services are provided. A system includes a user device associated with a first customer, a first physical customer local area network, and an enhanced network gateway. The enhanced network gateway may be configured to instantiate a virtual gateway associated with the first physical customer local area network, create a secure domain associated with the first physical customer local area network, determine whether a subscriber account is associated with the first customer. Responsive to determining that a subscriber account is not associated with the first customer, the enhanced network gateway may further provide a consumer portal to the user device, receive a selection of one or more services through the consumer portal, establish a connection to a service provider network associated with the one or more services, and provision the one or more services over the first physical customer local area network.

Over-The-Top Access to Distributed Local Resources

Novel tools and techniques for OTT access to local resources are provided. A system includes a user device associated with a first customer, a first physical customer local area network including at least part of a physical circuit from the user device to a first network edge, at least one local resource on a second customer local area network, and an enhanced network gateway. The enhanced network gateway may be configured to instantiate a virtual gateway associated with the first physical customer local area network, create a secure domain associated with the first customer, and provide access to the at least one local resource of the second physical customer local area network associated with the first customer. The at least one local resource of the second physical customer local area network may be coupled to the secure domain via a second virtual gateway of a second enhanced network gateway.

POLICY CONTROL FUNCTION FALLBACK

Systems, methods, and devices can be utilized for policy control function (PCF) fallback during the set up of a session utilizing a 5th Generation (5G) core network. An example method includes receiving, from a session management function (SMF), a request for a policy corresponding to a session. The request includes a first policy identifier corresponding to a first policy control function (PCF). The example method further includes determining that the first PCF is unavailable, generating a modified request by replacing the first policy identifier with a second policy identifier in the request. The second policy identifier corresponds to a second PCF. The example method also includes transmitting, to the second PCF, the modified second request.

CONTROLLING COMMUNICATIONS

Apparatuses and methods for controlling communication of a user terminal in a communication system are provided. The solution comprises determining that a data connection of an access point name or data network name of the user terminal does not fulfil a predetermined condition, and transmitting to a network unit maintaining information on subscriber information of users of the network a message on the basis of determination, the message indicating the access point name or data network name of the user terminal is to be deactivated or the data connection of the access point name or data network name is to be directed to a predetermined server.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVISIONING INTERNET ACCESS
20190132146 · 2019-05-02 ·

A system and method for provisioning internet access to guests of a travel facility is provided. A number of access points are in electronic communication with a gateway device which is in electronic communication with a property management system (PMS) and a router. The PMS includes identifying information for guests registered with the travel facility. An API gateway and a central destination server are in electronic communication with the gateway device by way of the internet. The central destination server receives a request to connect to the internet from a personal electronic device and grants internet access if the personal electronic device is recognized as having previously been granted internet access for a duration of time and if the current time is within the duration of time.

System and method for detecting network services based on network traffic using machine learning

A method includes obtaining input features based on network traffic received during a time window. The method also includes generating multiple network service type predictions about the network traffic during the time window using a machine learning (ML) classification system operating on the input features. The method also includes storing the multiple network service type predictions in different time steps in a first-in first-out (FIFO) buffer and generating decisions about a presence of each of multiple service types in the network traffic using a voting algorithm. The method also includes reducing fluctuations in the generated decisions using a logic-based stabilizer module to generate a final network service type decision.
