The apparatus comprises a memory interface and a processing circuit. In some embodiments, the processing circuit is configured to process one or more predefined interference signals respectively received from one or more interfering TRPs during a guard period of the victim TRP. In some embodiments, the guard period comprises a time period between a downlink (DL) transmission and an uplink (UL) transmission associated with a time division duplex (TDD) frame of the victim TRP. In some embodiments, the processing circuit is further configured to determine an inter-TRP interference based on the one or more predefined interference signals. In some embodiments, the inter-TRP interference comprises a measurement of a UL interference at the victim TRP from the one or more interfering TRPs.

In this way, a mapping relationship between a CBG and a layer group is established by grouping layers, so as to improve data reception quality, through interference cancellation, for transmission among different layer groups, and ensure adaptivity to a CBG-based retransmission feedback, thereby optimizing transmission performance of an entire communications system.

A WAP for wireless communications on a selected orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) communication channel of a wireless local area network (WLAN). The transceiver includes: antennas, transmit and receive chain components, a stream separation control circuit, and an Inter Carrier Interference (ICI) removal circuit. The receive chain components include: an equalizer component converting a received uplink communication packet from one or more of the associated stations at an input into discrete communication streams at an output thereof. The stream separation control circuit couples to the equalizer component to control the separation of the communication streams at the output of the equalizer component into groups, with each group comprising all of the communication streams transmitted by a corresponding one of the one or more associated stations. The ICI removal circuit couples to the stream separation control circuit to discretely remove ICI from each group of streams.
