An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a hinge housing extending in a direction of a rotational axis, a first housing connected to one side of the hinge housing in a direction perpendicular to the rotational axis to rotate about the rotational axis relative to the hinge housing, a second housing connected to an opposite side of the hinge housing in a direction perpendicular to the rotational axis to rotate about the rotational axis relative to the hinge housing, and a flexible display including a bending area at least partially disposed in the hinge housing and formed to be a flat surface or a curved surface, a first area extending from the bending area in one direction perpendicular to the rotational axis, and a second area extending from the bending area in an opposite direction perpendicular to the rotational axis.

In an embodiment, an electronic device may include a housing including a hinge module, a first housing, and second housing. The first and second housings are rotatably coupled to each other via the hinge module to be in a folded state or an unfolded state. The electronic device may further include a flexible display, at least one conductive pattern disposed in the first housing, at least one conductor disposed at a position in the second housing corresponding to the at least one conductive pattern such that the at least one conductor is capacitively coupled to the conductive pattern when the electronic device is in the folded state, and a wireless communication circuit electrically connected to the at least one conductive pattern in the first housing. Other embodiments are also possible.
Flexible display module and electronic device including the same
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing, a display, a middle plate, an adhesive layer, a support layer, and a coating layer. The housing includes a front plate facing a direction, a rear plate facing an opposite direction, and a lateral member surrounding a space between the front and rear plate. The display is configured to be seen through the front plate, and includes a first and second surface. The middle plate is disposed between the display and the rear plate, and includes a surface facing the display, and a recess. The adhesive layer is attached to the display, and the support layer is disposed between the adhesive layer and the middle plate. The coating layer is disposed between the support layer and the adhesive layer and is disposed in a first portion overlapped with the recess when viewed from the display.
Foldable display device and method of manufacturing foldable display device
A foldable display device includes a flexible display module, a case, first and second support plates, and a first protective film. The flexible display module includes a display surface and a back surface opposing the display surface. The case is on the back surface and includes: a hinge portion, and first and second covers rotatably coupled to the hinge portion in first and second directions, respectively. The second direction is opposite the first direction. The first support plate is between the flexible display module and the first cover, and supports a first side portion of the flexible display module. The second support plate is between the flexible display module and the second cover, and supports a second side portion of the flexible display module. The first protective film is coupled between the first and second support plates, and covers the back surface exposed between the first and second support plates.

POLYESTER FILM AND USE THEREOF
Problem: An object of the present invention is to provide a polyester film for a foldable display, the film having a hold angle in a bending direction of 155° or more and a maximum heat shrinkage at 150° C. of 1.5% or less (wherein the hold angle refers to an angle of a crease after fixing the film at room temperature for 72 hours in such a manner that a strain of 1.7% is applied to both surfaces of a bent portion of the film, and the bending direction refers to a direction that is orthogonal to a folding portion of a foldable display produced using the film.
ADJUSTING MECHANISMS FOR FLEXIBLE DISPLAY PANELS
Examples of a foldable device having a flexible display panel and an adjusting mechanism therefor is described herein. In one example, the foldable device can include an enclosure having a first segment and a second segment connected to each other by a hinge and the flexible display panel is housed inside the enclosure. The adjusting mechanism is operably coupled to the enclosure and he flexible display panel. The adjusting mechanism can adjust a curvature of the flexible display panel to about a permissible curvature upon relative motion between the first segment and the second segment of the enclosure.

Electronic devices for moving a visual object located in a folding area and methods for controlling the same are provided. A foldable device according to an embodiment may include at least one sensor, a flexible display, and at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to detect a folding angle of the foldable device by using the at least one sensor and detect that at least a part of a visual object is displayed in a folding area of the foldable device. In response to the detected folding angle being equal to or less than a predesignated angle, move, based on the displaying of the at least part of the visual object in the folding area, the visual object to an area other than the folding area and display the visual object in such area other than the folding area.
