A method for providing haptic feedback at a portable electronic device including a touch-sensitive display and a physical keyboard comprising depressible keys and touch sensors for detecting touches thereon, is provided. In response to detecting a first touch on the physical keyboard, which physical keyboard is moveable relative to the touch-sensitive display, between a first position in which the physical keyboard is exposed for use and a second position in which the physical keyboard is not exposed, wherein the first touch is associated with haptic feedback, first haptic feedback is provided to the physical keyboard. In response to detecting a second touch on the touch-sensitive display when the physical keyboard is in the second position in which the physical keyboard is not exposed, wherein the second touch is associated with haptic feedback, second haptic feedback is provided to the touch-sensitive display.
Electronic device including flexible display
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a flexible display, a first housing moving to correspond to change in a shape of the flexible display and including a contact region, a second housing sliding in a direction opposite to a direction in which the first housing moves of the first housing and to mount the flexible display, a rotary contact structure making contact with the contact region, and a printed circuit board (PCB) electrically connected with the at least one rotary contact structure. The at least one rotary contact structure includes a rotating part maintaining contact with the contact region while rotating in a process of changing a shape of the flexible display, a central part disposed inside the rotating part, a conductive member interposed between the rotating part and the central part, and a support part supporting the central part and electrically connecting the central part with the PCB.

Disclosed herein is a mobile terminal switchable from a first state to a second state by extending in the first direction, including a first frame, a second frame movable from the first frame in the first direction or a second direction opposite to the first direction, a slide frame movable in the first direction or the second direction with respect to the second frame, and a support link having one end hinged to the first frame and an opposite end hinged to the second frame, the support link having a variable length. The mobile terminal may maintain a flat state regardless of change in the state of the mobile terminal by preventing the front surface from being separated or sagging.
ROLLING DISPLAY ARRANGEMENT FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A rolling display arrangement (1) for an electronic device (2), the rolling display arrangement (1) comprising a display module (3), a shaft module (4), and at least one transmission module (5), the transmission module (5) being adapted for transferring rotational movement of the shaft module (4) and the transmission module (5) to linear movement of the display module (3). Such a rolling display arrangement allows the display module to slide linearly, and hence the size of the display to be changed without folding the display module.

A mobile terminal comprises: a first frame; a second frame configured to make a sliding movement in a first direction with regard to the first frame, or in a second direction opposite to the first direction; a rotating gear coupled to the second frame to be able to rotate around an axis of rotation extending in a third direction perpendicular to the first direction; a flexible display unit comprising a first area coupled to the front surface of the first frame and a second area which is bent while surrounding the rotating gear; a first flexible rack gear extending from the first frame in the first direction, the first flexible rack gear being positioned between the flexible display unit and the second frame and being bent while surrounding the rotating gear; and a second flexible rack gear coupled to the back surface of the flexible display unit so as to engage with the rotating gear and rotate accordingly. When expanded, the mobile terminal can be stably supported, thereby solving the problem of sagging of the flexible display unit, or the problem of an error occurring during a touch input.
FOLDABLE DISPLAY DEVICE
A foldable display device includes a first casing having a first receiving cavity inside, a rewinding component disposed in the first receiving cavity, a second casing disposed on a side of the first casing, a stretching component slidably having an end slidingly connected to the first casing and another end rotationally connected to the second casing, and a flexible display component having a part disposed on a same side of the first casing and the second casing and another part protruding into the first receiving cavity and connected to the rewinding component.

Provided in embodiments of the present disclosure are a shell assembly and an electronic device. The electronic device includes a first shell, a second shell movably connected to the first shell, a driving mechanism, and a flexible screen assembly. The flexible screen assembly includes a first end and a second end. The first end of the flexible screen assembly is connected to the first shell, and the second end of the flexible screen assembly is coupled to the driving mechanism. The driving mechanism is configured to drive the second shell to move relative to the first shell, to enable the electronic device to vary between an extended state and a retracted state, and is further configured to drive the flexible screen assembly to move when the electronic device changes from the extended state to the retracted state.

A mobile terminal and a control method therefor are disclosed. The mobile terminal includes a body, an input unit configured to receive user input, a display coupled to the body to vary a display region viewed from a front face of the body according to switching between an enlarged display mode and a reduced display mode, and a controller. The controller controls output of at least one application on the display in the enlarged display mode, and controls, upon receiving an event, output of an application corresponding to the event in a first region based on a signal for confirming the received event. The first region is an event application region when a preset application is being output in the enlarged display mode and is a main region of the enlarged display mode when the preset application is not being output in the enlarged display mode.

A mobile terminal and a control method therefor are disclosed. The mobile terminal includes a body, an input unit configured to sense user input, a display coupled to the body to vary a display region viewed from a front of the body according to switching between an enlarged display mode and a reduced display mode, and a controller. The controller controls output of at least one application on the display in the enlarged display mode, controls output of an editing screen upon receiving a signal for switching to the reduced display mode, and controls switching to the reduced display mode based on a result of the editing screen.
