USER INTERFACE FOR MULTI-USER COMMUNICATION SESSION

The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces for multi-user communication sessions. In some examples, a device initiates a live stream in a communication session. In some examples, a device transitions between streaming live audio and live video. In some examples, a device enables synchronizing media playback during a live stream.

CONTACT LIST RECONCILIATION AND PERMISSIONING

Techniques for using validated communications identifiers of a user's communications profile to resolve entries in another user's contact list are described. When a user imports a contact list, the contact list may include multiple entities related to the same person. The system may identify one of the entries in the contact list that corresponds to a validated communications identifier stored in another user's communications profile. The system may identify other validated communications identifiers in the other user's communications profile and cross-reference them against the entries of the contact list. If the system determines the contact list includes entries for the different validated communications identifiers of the other user, the system may consolidate the entries into a single entry associated with the other user.

TECHNIQUES FOR IMPLEMENTING PHONE NUMBER-BASED USER ACCOUNTS WITH PERMISSIONS TO ACCESS VARYING LEVELS OF SERVICES UTILIZING VISIBLE AND HIDDEN CONTACT ADDRESSES
20240129411 · 2024-04-18 ·

This application sets forth techniques for managing phone number-based user accounts. According to some embodiments, a server computing device can be configured to carry out the steps of (1) receiving, from a first client computing device, a request to create a user account based on a phone number, (2) in response to authenticating that the first client computing device is associated with the phone number: creating the user account based on the phone number, creating a hidden contact address based on the phone number, and assigning the hidden contact address to the user account, and (3) in response to receiving a notification that a second client computing device is associated with the phone number: requiring the user account to be updated to be based on a different phone number, or assigning, to the user account, a visible contact address based on the phone number.

INTEGRATION OF THIRD PARTY APPLICATION AS QUICK ACTIONS

A computer readable media, a method, and a system registering a third party application providing an available communication system between a local user and a remote user identity, storing information related to the available communication system in a first database, obtaining contact information for the remote user identity from the third party application, determining a communication type for the third party application, pairing the remote user identity with a contact, and updating a graphical representation of contact information.

System and Method for Using a Secondary Device to Access Information Stored Remotely
20190320052 · 2019-10-17 · ·

A system and method allows for access to the contacts of one person on a second person's device, without affecting the content on the second person's device. The contact information, and other information that is stored on a first person's device, can be temporarily downloaded onto a second person's device for making calls or accessing the other information, thereby allowing for contact with someone. Upon logging out of the system on the second device, the information from the first person is deleted. This allows the first person to contact others when the first person's phone is not available for some reason. The system also allows for the downloading of more content and virtual access to the lost/stolen telephone to be able to locate the phone, control the phone or destroy the information on the phone.

AUDIO CALL ANALYSIS

A device includes a communication interface, an input interface, and a processor. The communication interface is configured to receive an audio signal associated with an audio call. The input interface is configured to receive user input during the audio call. The processor is configured to generate an audio recording of the audio signal in response to receiving the user input. The processor is also configured to generate text by performing speech-to-text conversion of the audio recording. The processor is further configured to perform a comparison of the text to a pattern. The processor is also configured to identify, based on the comparison, a portion of the text that matches the pattern. The processor is further configured to provide the portion of the text and an option to a display. The option is selectable to initiate performance of an action corresponding to the pattern.

Method and system for managing changes to a contact database

Described is a system and method for updating a contact and adding a new contact from a call log in a communications device. The system includes a contact manager that is directed towards creating and updating call contact cards in a contact database with information retrieved from call logs of phone calls made to or from the communications device. In one embodiment, information is pre-populated into a predetermined data field of the contact card, thereby reducing workload to a user. The method includes determining if a request is for updating an existing contact card or for adding a new contact card to the contact database. The update or addition is made with information retrieved from call logs. Call information is pre-populated into a predetermined data field of the contact card, when it is determined that the request is to add a new contact card to the contact database.

An image processing apparatus performs export by switching, based on the communication type of one or more pieces of stored destination information of an external apparatus, whether or not to add an external line call number to a destination number included in the destination information. The image processing apparatus also performs, with respect to destination information obtained from the external apparatus, import of the destination information to the image processing apparatus by switching, based on a communication type regarding the destination information, whether or not to remove an external line call number from a destination number included in the destination information.
