USER INTERFACE FOR MULTI-USER COMMUNICATION SESSION
The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces for multi-user communication sessions. In some examples, a device initiates a live stream in a communication session. In some examples, a device transitions between streaming live audio and live video. In some examples, a device enables synchronizing media playback during a live stream.
Electronic device and method for controlling the same
An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes a display, a memory, and a processor electrically connected with the display and the memory, wherein the processor controls to display, on the display, a directory comprising at least one contact list stored in the memory, and controls to identify a selected contact among the contact list based on an external input signal, and receive information to be displayed to the selected contact, and match and store the selected contact and the received information.
PEOPLE LISTS
Enabling management of contacts includes passively recognizing a set of contacts that are, as a group, repeatedly sent communications by a member, bringing the member's attention to the recognized set of contacts, enabling the member to name the set of contacts, and enabling the member to address future communications to the set of contacts through use of the name associated by the member with the set of contacts.
Mobile device status and notification
Aspects of the present invention confirm that a phone number is associated with a particular phone. The phone number is confirmed to be associated with the phone by causing the phone to transmit a verification message addressed to that phone number. Receipt by the phone of the verification message confirms that the number is associated with that phone. Another aspect of the invention concerns updating the status of phones in a status list of phone numbers on a phone by sending the status list and updated status of the phone to a network server. The server monitors the status of at least one of the phones in the status list and transmits that status to the phone, which updated status is then displayed in a display area of the phone.
System, method, and apparatus for common contact management
A system for providing management of contact records includes a single record that is primarily indexed by phone number. The contact records are network accessed through any of various cellular and data networks by various devices and cached locally on such devices by way of permission from the owner of each record. In this way, the owner of each record has the ability to later deny access for any other user to some or all of the information stored in the contact record. As changes are made to a contact record, all others users having access to that contact record receive updated information. Duplicates are eliminated as no two individuals or establishments share the same phone number.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING INCOMING AND OUTGOING CALL INFORMATION IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL
Methods and apparatuses are provided for providing information at an electronic device. Incoming call entries and outgoing call entries corresponding to phone numbers are displayed. Based on receiving a selection of one of the call entries, a first option is displayed for modifying prestored contact information associated with the phone number corresponding to the call entry, without displaying a second option for adding the phone number to the address book, and call history information is displayed for the phone number, when the phone number is in the address book. The prestored contact information associated with the phone number includes a name for the phone number. The second option is displayed, without displaying the first option, and the call history information for the phone number is displayed, when the phone number is not in the address book.
Techniques to manage contact records
Exemplary embodiments relate to techniques for managing contact information received in the context of a messaging system. Messages may be received from known contacts which contain user contact records for third parties. Based on the trust relationship with the known contacts, the user contact record is placed in a contact record repository for later retrieval. When another message is received which either references the user contact record or is from the third party referenced in the user contact record, a dialog box is presented offering the user the opportunity to add the user contact record as an address entry in the address book of the device.
METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR CHECKING CHANGE OF PHONE NUMBER
A method including detecting whether contact information of one or more users in a first address book are changed, the contact information including phone number or email address; when detecting that a phone number of a first user in the first address book is changed, obtaining the total number of detected changes of the phone number of the first user through accumulation; and if the total number exceeds a check threshold, determining that the phone number of the first user has been changed. The present disclosure solves a technical problem of inaccuracy of a phone number recorded in an address book of a user caused by frequent changes to the phone number in the address book.
Populating user contact entries
Methods and apparatus for populating a contact entry of a user based on information obtained from one or more sources that are external to the contact entry. Some implementations are directed generally to analyzing text of a document associated with the user to identify contact information in the document. In some versions of those implementations, an affinity measure associated with the document may be determined that is indicative of an amount of interest of the user in the document and a contact entry may be populated with one or more aspects of the contact information based on the affinity measure satisfying a threshold.
AUTOMATIC CONTACT SHARING AND CONNECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system includes least one processor to display a graphical user interface (GUI) comprising at least one user interface element that when selected captures at least one image by an imaging device, display a carousel GUI that shows a first contact card from a list of contact cards, the first contact card comprising a name of a first contact, the phone number of the first contact, and the email address of the first contact displayed as a first layer that displays on top of a second layer comprising the at least one image and simultaneously display a first map GUI that shows a map of where the at least one image of the imaging device is captured.
