Apparatus, method and computer program product for using images in contact lists maintained in electronic devices
An electronic device having a memory, a display, control apparatus and a data processor. When the data processor executes a program stored in the memory of the electronic device, the electronic device receives an image containing a person, the image further containing a face component, the face component containing the face of the person; displays the image on the display; locates the face component within the image; emphasizes the face component; receives image annotation information concerning the face component; and saves the image annotation information to the memory of the electronic device. The image annotation information may take the form of contact information for use in a contact database. A method uses the face component to locate other images in the database that also contain the person, and adds the annotation information to those images.
Mobile terminal and control method thereof
A mobile terminal for displaying a contact item and a control method thereof are provided. The mobile terminal includes: a display unit configured to display a plurality of contact items; a controller configured to designate a selected contact item as a representative contact item when any one of the contact items is selected, and designate a selected different contact item as a subordinate contact item when the different contact item is selected from among the contact items, and merge contact information corresponding to the subordinate contact item into contact information corresponding to the representative contact item when a control command for merging contact information is detected, wherein the controller disposes the subordinate contact item such that it is adjacent to the representative contact item.
Identifying a contact based on a voice communication session
Arrangements described herein include identifying a voice communication session established between a first communication device and a second communication device and, based on the voice communication session established between the first communication device and the second communication device, identifying a plurality of contacts who potentially may be the second user. A list including at least a name of each of the plurality of contacts who potentially may be the second user is presented to a first user using the first communication device.
AUTOMATIC CONTACTS SORTING
To automatically sort multiple contacts of a user, in some examples, a system may be configured to monitor physiological signals, which reflect the emotional responses, of the user during communications between the user and his/her contacts and, further, to classify the contacts into multiple contact groups that may be sorted by the emotional responses of the user.
Method and Device to Operate Phone with a Single Key
The present invention discloses a method to operate phone using a single key, first provide method to form key value: (1) When the key is just closed, plus 1 to the key value, (2) When the key closing time is greater than time t1, form closing key value, (3) When the key closing time is smaller than t1 and the immediate key releasing time is greater than t2, store the key value as releasing key value, (4) When the key closing time is smaller than t1 and the immediate key releasing time is smaller than t2, skip to step (1). The releasing key values can be used to represent the numerical and alphabetical keys on typical keypad of phone, while the closing key values can be used to represent the function key on typical keypad of phone, so that the complete function of a typical phone keypad can be realized using only one key. Therefore, a phone can be made very small, which can be especially useful when installed on small Bluetooth device that connects to phone, since not only can it answer incoming phone calls, but also making outgoing phone calls.
Automated caller identifier from contact lists of a user's contacts
When a call or message is received from an unidentified sender on the user's communication device, the caller identifier application launches a text-based messaging application and causes it to send an invisible text-based message to the user's contacts. The message includes the metadata (e.g., telephone number) associated with the call or message that the user received. The invisible message is a short message whose headers are programmed in a particular manner so that the receiving mobile phone acknowledges the receipt of the message and the receiving mobile phone displays no behavior perceptible by the user. When the invisible message is received by the corresponding caller identifier application on one of the user's contact's mobile phone, the application searches the contact's contact list maintained in his or hers contact application. If the metadata provided to the contact's mobile phone is located in the contact list, the contact details (e.g. Name) or the contact card, if available, is sent back to the user's mobile phone in a second invisible message. Upon receiving the second invisible message, the caller identifier application causes some or all of the contact details to be displayed on the user's mobile phone or otherwise presented to the user in any appropriate manner.
Dynamic contact sharing in a mesh network
A network device (100, 200, 330, 340, 540) comprising a memory (240), an interface (230) and a controller (210, 410) for use in a mesh network comprising at least one another network device (540c) wherein said memory (240) is configured for storing at least one contact (560) and said controller (210, 410) is configured to: receive a contact list (560) containing at least one contact from the another network device (540) and compare the at least one received contact with the at least one contact stored in the memory (240) and if there is no match, store the received at least one contact and forward said at least one received contact.
Incoming call management in a communication environment with unified communication interfaces
A computer-implemented method for managing incoming calls comprises receiving, at an intermediate server communicatively coupled to a mobile phone associated with a first phone number corresponding to a first contact group and a second phone number corresponding to a second contact group, a request to receive an incoming call associated with a caller phone number. The intermediate server identifies a contact group associated with the request. The identified contact group comprises the first contact group in response to the received request corresponding to the first phone number, and the identified contact group comprises the second contact group in response to the received request corresponding to the second phone number. The intermediate server selects a notification based on the identified contact group. The intermediate server modifies the request to receive an incoming call to include the selected notification and routes the modified request to the mobile phone.
Method for managing an unallocated telephone number in a communication network, method for processing a request for allocating a telephone number, corresponding devices, item of communication equipment, system and computer programs
A method for managing an unallocated telephone number in a communication network, the telephone number being previously allocated to a user of the communication network until a suspension date. The method is implemented by an item of equipment of the network and includes: obtaining information relating to a call set-up request received by the communication network to the telephone number during an observation period of time subsequent to the suspension date; updating, according to the information relating to the call set-up request, information relating to an activity level of the telephone number in the communication network, the information relating to an activity level being representative of a number of requests to set-up a call to the telephone number received by the network for the given observation period and storing in a data table the information relating to an activity level of the telephone number in association with the telephone number.
