Method and apparatus for quick selection from ordered list

Techniques for quick selection from an ordered list include dividing all items in the ordered list into current groups. Each current group includes a different range of the items. A corresponding plurality of icons for the plurality of current groups is presented substantively simultaneously on a display screen. One corresponding icon for each current group indicates a range of items included in the current group. In response to receiving input that indicates a particular icon corresponding to a particular group of the plurality of current groups, all items included in the particular group are divided into a plurality of next current groups. Each next current group includes a different range of the items included in the particular group. The next current group replaces the previous current group; thus, a corresponding plurality of icons for the plurality of next current groups is presented substantively simultaneously on the display screen.

The present invention relates to system (100) and method for providing ultra-quick audio/video messaging phonebook and delivery. The system (100) includes an application server communicating with one or more communication devices (D1, D2), each device having an application installed therein. The application configures a device to display all contacts including registered and unregistered contacts available in memory (401) of the device. When a user selects and holds a contact, application initiates a short duration audio/video message recording for the selected contact (403) and detects whether the selected contact is a registered or an unregistered contact number of the application (4040). If the selected contact is recognized as a registered contact, the application automatically transmits the recorded message to the selected contact via the application server upon release of hold to contact (406). If selected contact is recognized as an unregistered contact, the application automatically transmits a message along with a unique web link to provide direct web access to the recorded audio/video message to the selected contact/recipient.

Methods and systems for automated business dialing

Systems and methods consistent with the invention relate to automated business and service dialing. According to one exemplary embodiment, a business dialing system is disclosed. The system includes a memory configured to store a plurality of business objects containing phone numbers corresponding to a plurality of business entities. The system further includes a user input device configured to detect key presses. The system also includes a processor coupled to the user input device and the memory. The processor is configured to generate a key sequence and a number sequence based on the detected key presses. The processor is further configured to search the memory for business objects corresponding to the key sequence. The system further includes a display device configured to display the number sequence and the business objects. The user input interface is further configured to detect a selection of a business object, among the business objects, or a dial command. The processor is configured to perform an action associated with the selected business object if the selection of the business object is detected, and dial the number sequence as a phone number if the dial command is detected.
