A VoIP communication service using communication tokens, such as QR codes, to identify the receivers can provide callers with the ability to communicate with the receivers using VoIP technology, without the need to pre-registering with the VoIP service provider that hosts the communication. The tokens can be customized by having a profile, which can include conditions imposed by the receivers on the callers. The tokens can be used in a call center to provide VoIP communication services.

Data sharing between a first user and a second user includes receiving a scan code from the first user; associating the scan code with a first profile of the first user; receiving, from a second user, an indication that the second user scanned the scan code; identifying, for the first user, the second user as a potential contact; sending, to the first user, a first request to share first user data with the second user; and receiving, from the first user, a response to the first request to share the first user data with the second user. Managing a directory of contacts includes creating the directory of contacts; receiving an event-based joining tag for the directory; adding a contact; and responsive to an event-based joining tag being active, adding the contact to the directory of contacts.

Disclosed is a system and method of obtaining data in a system in which share volumes of the data are dispersed across a communication network. A first computer requesting the data forwards the request to a second computer. The second computer determines if another computer has reassembled the data, and if so, responds to the first computer that the request cannot be granted. Otherwise, the second computer enables the first computer to access personal information associated only with a user of the first computer that authorizes the user to access the data. The personal information is used to determine reassembly information necessary to reassemble the data. The reassembly information is used to reassemble the data. The personal information may then be destroyed. The reassembled data is dispersed across the communication network. New personal information is created for the user.

A communication device, method and computer program product support concurrently receiving an embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) profile and non-eSIM digital content from separate servers to enable service from a selected carrier. The communication device receives carrier destination data via one of a user interface device, an image capturing device, a removable data storage device, and a network interface of a communication device. The communication device requests download of the eSIM profile associated with a selected carrier from a subscription or carrier server based on the identified carrier destination. While receiving and installing the eSIM profile in an eSIM, the communication device concurrently receives, via the network interface, digital content associated with the selected carrier and a configuration of the communication device from a configuration manager hosted on a configuration server. The digital content enables functionality via the selected carrier.

A method for starting an operation process comprises: receiving an operation request message from a terminal device in response to the terminal device scanning a barcode to obtain barcode information and determining an address of the server based on the barcode information, the operation request comprising an image of text associated with the barcode scanned by the terminal device, and the image of text specifying an operation function; determining text content based on the image of text; searching a correspondence relationship between different text content and respective operation access information to obtain operation access information corresponding to the determined text content; and returning the operation access information to the terminal device, for the terminal device to start an operation process by using the operation access information, the operation process having the operation function specified by the received image of text.

A system for providing communication between a first electronic device and a second electronic device that includes a server, a first software application executable on the first electronic device in communication with the server, a second software application executable on the second electronic device in communication with the server, and a first display that includes a first machine readable code thereon. When the first machine readable code is processed by the first electronic device a first user interface is displayed on the first electronic device and a second user interface is displayed on the second electronic device. The first user interface includes a first predetermined input and selection of the first predetermined input prompts an initial indicator on the second electronic device.

A system for providing communication between a first electronic device and a second electronic device that includes a server, a first software application executable on the first electronic device in communication with the server, a second software application executable on the second electronic device in communication with the server, and a first display that includes a first machine readable code thereon. When the first machine readable code is processed by the first electronic device a first user interface is displayed on the first electronic device and a second user interface is displayed on the second electronic device. The first user interface includes a first predetermined input and selection of the first predetermined input prompts an initial indicator on the second electronic device.

A method for starting an operation process comprises: receiving an operation request message from a terminal device in response to the terminal device scanning a barcode to obtain barcode information and determining an address of the server based on the barcode information, the operation request comprising an image of text associated with the barcode scanned by the terminal device, and the image of text specifying an operation function; determining text content based on the image of text; searching a correspondence relationship between different text content and respective operation access information to obtain operation access information corresponding to the determined text content; and returning the operation access information to the terminal device, for the terminal device to start an operation process by using the operation access information, the operation process having the operation function specified by the received image of text.

A method for inputting and processing phone number is provided. The method includes: taking or storing a picture P1 including a phone number; obtaining a picture P2 including only the phone number by automatically processing the picture P1 and saving the picture P2; obtaining editable character strings of the phone number in the picture P2 by automatically recognizing the phone number in the picture P2; determining whether a format of the editable character strings of the phone number in the picture P2 is consistent with a standard format of the contact information of the mobile terminal; when consistent, the phone number in the picture P2 is displayed in the dialing interface for dialing or saving; and when not consistent, the phone number in the picture P2 is displayed in a modifying interface for correcting.
