Tamper resistant system for creating zones and manipulating computing devices
A system for selectively manipulating a mobile device when the mobile device is present within one or more defined zones within an area. The system comprises a control device transmitting a signal, with the signal having a decreasing signal strength as distance from the control device increases. The system additional comprises one or more profiles stored in a memory for determining the one or more defined zones based on one or more values, each value corresponding to a particular signal strength of the signal, and at least one software application executing on the mobile device. The application is configured for accessing the profiles from a memory and receiving, from the mobile device, an indication of the signal received at the mobile device and a signal strength of the received signal, and selectively manipulating the mobile device as a function of the signal strength and the one or more profiles.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL STAND FOR COMMUNICATION TERMINAL
A multifunctional stand for a communication terminal comprises: a front case (110); a rear case (120); a swing hinge (130) having one side fastened to the front case (110); a rotating body (140) which rotates by being fastened to the other side of the swing hinge (130); a supporter (151), provided on the rotating body (140), for supporting a communication terminal (10); a pair of holders (161, 162), provided on the rotating body (140), for holding the communication terminal (10); and a speaker box (198), provided on the rear surface of the rear case (120), for standing the stand (100) on an object on which the stand will be disposed, wherein the pair of holders (161, 162) hold the communication terminal (10) by controlling the distance between the holders (161, 162) by moving according to the width (w1) of the communication terminal (10).
PREVENTING DRIVER DISTRACTION FROM INCOMING NOTIFICATIONS
Driving condition data is determined. The driving condition data identifies one or more driving actions that require more driver attention and one or more driving actions that require less driver attention. An indication is received that a user has a mobile device and is driving a vehicle. The surrounding environment of the vehicle is monitored. An incoming notification on the mobile device is received. A distraction value is determined. The distraction value is based on the one or more driving actions and the surrounding environment. The incoming notification is modified based on the distraction value.
Cooperation system, cooperation method, and computer program product
A cooperation system is a cooperation system including a mobile terminal and an in-vehicle apparatus that can be coupled according to a plurality of cooperation schemes by using one or more physical couplings, wherein the mobile terminal includes: an app that outputs at least one of an audio signal and an image signal as output data; a cooperation control section that determines the cooperation scheme to be used for transmission of the output data, based on the cooperation scheme that is operatively functioning; and a library that transmits the output data to the in-vehicle apparatus by using the cooperation scheme determined by the cooperation control section, and the in-vehicle apparatus includes: a protocol control section that receives the output data from the library by using the cooperation scheme; and an output section that reproduces the output data received by the protocol control section.
VEHICLE CAMERA PERIPHERAL
A vehicle camera peripheral. It has a frame having a surface for supporting a license plate, at least one compartment for containing a battery and a circuit board having a wireless transmitter and video transmission circuitry, the compartment provided in the frame and positioned behind the license plate supporting surface, a camera mounted to the frame and connected to the circuit board, and a mounting for connecting the frame to existing license plate fastening devices of a vehicle.
Selective audio notifications based on connection to an accessory
A computer-implemented method of determining when an audio notification should be generated includes detecting receipt of a triggering event that occurs on a user device; generating, based on detecting, the audio notification for the triggering event; receiving, from the user device, a user voice command responding to the audio notification; and generating a response to the user voice command based on one or more of (i) information associated with the audio notification, and (ii) information associated with the user voice command.
Method for Operating An Infotainment System of a Motor Vehicle, and Infotainment System for Motor Vehicle
A method for operating an infotainment system of a motor vehicle in which at least one data set stored on at least one mobile terminal is transmitted wirelessly to the infotainment system and received by the infotainment system as soon as a swipe gesture has been detected on the mobile terminal wherein the at least one data set is stored first in a buffer memory of the infotainment system and only then transmitted to a further memory of the infotainment system and then processed by means of the infotainment system when a predetermined confirmation action has been detected on-board. The invention also relates to an infotainment system for a motor vehicle.
USER INTERFACE APPARATUS FOR VEHICLES AND VEHICLE HAVING THE SAME
Disclosed herein is a user interface apparatus for vehicles including light sources, a touch sensor to sense touch, light guides to transfer light generated by the light sources, and a top cover to cover the light sources, the touch sensor and the light guides and to transmit light emitted from the light guides to the interior of a vehicle. The light sources includes a first light source and at least one second light sources, the light guides includes first and second light guides to receive light generated by the first light source and to transfer the light to first and second regions and at least one third light guide configured to receive light generated by the at least one second light source and to transfer the light to a third region, and light generated by the first light source is dispersed and provided to the first and second light guides.
Restricting mobile device usage
Systems and methods are provided for selectively restricting a mobile device. In one implementation, a visual capture can be to identify one or more indicators within the visual capture. Based on the indicators, an implementation of a restriction at the mobile device can be adjusted. In another implementation inputs can be processed to compute a determination, determination reflecting at least one of the in-vehicle role of the user as a driver and the in-vehicle role of the user as a passenger; and, an operation state of the mobile device can be modified based on such a determination. According to another implementation, one or more outputs can be projected from a mobile device, inputs can be received, and such inputs and outputs can be processed to determine a correlation between them. A restriction can then be modified based on the correlation.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING VEHICLE
An apparatus of controlling a vehicle includes a communication device that communicates with a portable terminal, a sensor that detects a driving state and a surrounding state of the vehicle, and a controller that generates a second control signal different from a first control signal when the first control signal is not generated corresponding to the driving state, the surrounding state and an operation of an input device when a call signal is received at the portable terminal, the vehicle is in a driving state, and the input device is operated. Accordingly, even if a vehicle is not separately provided with an operation device for responding to the call signal received by the mobile terminal, the apparatus may respond to the call signal received by the portable terminal and be applied to low-cost vehicles, improving customer satisfaction and driving performance.
