Displaying user interfaces associated with physical activities
The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces and more specifically to techniques for displaying user interfaces associated with physical activities. Exemplary user interfaces related to activity competitions are described. Exemplary user interfaces related to a friends list for activity sharing are described. Exemplary user interfaces associated with alerts presented to a user in response to automatically determining a boundary of a workout are described. Exemplary user interfaces associated with configuring a pace alert for a workout application are described.
GEO-SOCIAL MOBILE COMMUNICATION PLATFORM CONFIGURED TO A SMART BRACELET
The present invention relates to a wearable smart device and system in the form of a smart bracelet configured to a geo-social mobile communication platform. This device combines self-expression of likes, interests, and social cues with a technological improvement over existing social networking through mobile devices. The smart bracelet contains a microcontroller, Bluetooth module, GPS module, one or more LED, and a battery. The device also includes user-selectable beads or “CODITTES” that attach to the bracelet and display various interests or social cues. The bracelet communicates with a mobile device through a front-end app and back-end app/database. The device facilitates physical social interactions by allowing users to share interests, social cues, and facilitate communication through near field communication. The present invention provides a novel solution to the challenge of in-person social interaction by combining self-expression and technology.
VOICE COMMUNICATION METHOD
Audio inputs are detected at an electronic device and translated into electronic communications for playback at an external electronic device.
ADVANCED EYESIGHT DEVICE FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED
An eyesight device for the visually impaired comprises a case having a front, rear and side walls. An ultrasonic sensor is provided on at least the front wall although, preferably, ultrasonic sensors are provided on the front and side walls to provide a greater range of peripheral vision. A microcontroller within the case is coupled to the ultrasonic sensor. A power source energizes the microcontroller. An audible signal generating means is adapted to generate an audible signal. The microcontroller is programmed to receive the output of the ultrasonic sensor and computing the distance between the case and an obstacle spaced from the case and energize the audible signal generating means when the distance is less than a preselected threshold distance. Attaching means is provided for attaching the case to an item of clothing of the user to free the hands of the user.
System with multiple electronic devices
Multiple electronic devices may be used together in a system. The electronic devices may use sensor measurements and other information to detect when an edge of a first electronic device is adjacent to an edge of a second electronic device. In response to detection of adjacency between the edges of the first and second devices, the devices may transition from an independent operating mode in which each device operates separately to a joint operating mode in which resources of the devices are shared. In the joint operating mode, images may extend across displays in the devices, speakers in the devices may be used to play different channels of an audio track, cameras and other sensors may be used in cooperation with each other, and other resources may be shared. Magnetic components may hold devices together in a variety of orientations.
REFLECTIVE VIDEO DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR INTERACTIVE TRAINING AND DEMONSTRATION AND METHODS OF USING SAME
A smart mirror can show live or recorded streaming video of an instructor performing a workout in a package that is attractive and unobtrusive enough to hang in a living room. The smart mirror includes a mirror surface with a fully reflecting section and a partially reflecting section. A display behind the partially reflecting section shows the video when the smart mirror is on and is almost invisible when the smart mirror is off. The smart mirror also has a speaker, a microphone, and a camera to enable a user to view the video content and interact with the instructor. The smart mirror may connect to the user's smart phone, a peripheral device (e.g., a Bluetooth speaker) to augment user experience, a biometric sensor to provide biometric data to assess user performance, and/or a network router to connect the smart mirror to a content provider, an instructor, and/or other users.
Systems and methods for providing remote incoming call notification for cellular phones
The present invention provides a remote notification to a user of a cellular, or mobile, phone as the result of a particular activity or any activity at all (e.g., an incoming call from a particular person, group, or just an incoming call). In one embodiment, a sensing device is provided on the cellular phone that communicates/routes an alert to a remote notification device. In one economical embodiment, the notification device may have a short wire-based communication channel (e.g., roughly 1 foot to 5 feet) and only have a single output device (e.g., a light-emitting device). Thus, a woman may be able to quietly receive notifications of a cell phone event when her cell phone is stored in her purse.
Call Prompt Method, Call Device, Readable Storage Medium, and Chip System
This application provides a call prompt method, a call device, a readable storage medium, and a chip system. The method includes: enabling a call prompt mode; identifying a first audio feature of call audio received by the call device; determining a call state based on the first audio feature; and performing call prompting based on a call prompting manner corresponding to the call state.
HEAD-WORN WEARABLE DEVICES FOR AUTOMATICALLY CEASING THE CAPTURE OF VIDEO DATA, AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
Systems and methods are provided for determining when to cease capturing video via a head-worn wearable device. The method includes capturing, via a head-worn wearable device that includes a camera, video data. The method further includes, while capturing the video data, monitoring sensor data indicating one or both of (i) a position of the head-worn wearable device and (ii) a position of a wrist-wearable device that is communicatively coupled with the head-worn device to determine when to cease capturing the video data. The method further includes, in accordance with a determination that at least some of the sensor data indicates that one or both of (i) a video-capturing precondition is not present at the head-worn wearable device and (ii) a video-viewing precondition is present at the wrist-wearable device, ceasing to capture the video data and causing the video data to be displayed on a display of the wrist-wearable device.
