CUSTOMIZATION OF CALL FORWARDING OR VOICEMAIL GREETINGS BASED ON LOCATION OF WIRELESS DEVICE
A wireless telecommunications system provides location-specific call forwarding. The system can receive a request to connect a voice call to the wireless device, which can invoke a call forwarding procedure depending on a status of a subscriber associated with the wireless device. When the system determines that a current location of the wireless device is different from a default location, location-specific call forwarding information is used to forward the voice call to a terminating node associated with the location-specific forwarding information rather than a default terminating node for the default location. The terminating node can include a voicemail server that plays back a location-specific voicemail greeting to the caller.
SYSTEMS FOR IDENTIFYING THE ANSWERING PARTY OF AN AUTOMATED VOICE CALL
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for determining whether an automated telephone call has been answered by a particular user, a different person, or a voicemail service. In response to determining that the call has been answered by the user, a different person, or a voicemail service, the systems and methods can output different respective messages, initiate messaging to the user via alternate communication paths, or perform other actions.
Ringless voicemail attempt detection
One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for ringless voicemail detection are provided. In an example, a first call attempt to a phone number may be detected. In response to detecting a second call attempt to the phone number occurring within a first threshold timespan of the first call attempt being detected, first processing of the second call attempt is withheld. In response to the first call attempt being cancelled within a second threshold timespan of the first call attempt being detected, second processing of the second call attempt is performed based upon a policy.
Performing an operation responsive to a voice call
Methods, devices, and systems related to performing an operation responsive to a voice call are described. In an example, a method can include storing data representing a number of contact lists on a memory of a first computing device, wherein the data representing the number of contact lists includes data representing credentials of a number of contacts on the number of contact lists, receiving data representing a voice call and credentials of a second computing device at the first computing device, comparing the data representing the credentials of the second computing device with the data representing the credentials of the number of contacts on the number of contact lists to determine which contact list the second computing device is included in, and performing an operation at the first computing device at least partially based on which contact list the second computing device is included in.
Handling an outbound call reaching a voicemail service
Various embodiments of the invention provide methods, systems, and computer-program products for handling a call reaching a party's voicemail. A predictive model is used to generate a first probability of an outcome occurring as a result of leaving a voicemail message and a second probability of the outcome occurring as a result of sending a text message. If the first probability is greater, an IVR uses DTMF tone(s) to bypass a greeting on the voicemail so that a message can be recorded with minimal time. If the second probability is greater, the call is ended and an email is sent to the party's service provider using an email address comprising a mobile number for the party and a domain portion specific to the provider. As a result, the provider delivers a text message to the party with the body of the message including the content of the email.
CUSTOMIZATION OF CALL FORWARDING OR VOICEMAIL GREETINGS BASED ON LOCATION OF WIRELESS DEVICE
