The recommended photos are selected by dividing photos in the photo library into one or more groups based on photographing location and photographing time, where, if a photographing location of a photo is not a regular location associated with a user of the device, the photo is grouped based on a common photographing location, and if the photographing location of the photo is a regular location associated with the user of the device, the photo is grouped based on a common photographing time. Photos are selected from at least one group as a recommended photo in the photo uploading region.

Portable terminals 100-1 to 100-N of a plurality of users have roles divided into one portable terminal 100-1 functioning as a host and other portable terminals 100-2 to 100-N (one or more second portable terminals) functioning as a client, and communication needed for creation of a collage image can be performed between the portable terminal 100-1 and other portable terminals 100-2 to 100-N. In one or more example embodiments, a method includes receiving, at a server, primary content and location information from one or more of a plurality of user devices, the location information corresponding to a location at which the primary content is created. The method further includes creating secondary content according to at least one of the primary content, the location information and additional information associated with the primary content.

A computing device initiates a linked capture session to enable automatic image sharing by multiple users and devices. The linked capture session is a group of devices that automatically share captured images during the linked capture session. The linked capture session may be initiated based on a location, a group of people, and/or a time duration. The images captured by devices that are connected in the linked capture session are automatically communicated to a remote storage system that allows all users to access the images through devices connected to the linked capture session.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a camera, a display, a communication module, a memory, and a processor that is electrically connected to the camera, the display, the communication module, and the memory. The processor transmits an advertising signal including first identification (ID) information of the electronic device to a peripheral external device by using a first communication scheme, receives a response signal including second ID information of the external device by using the first communication scheme, and stores image data collected through the camera to the memory in connection with the second ID information when a first user input shooting an image is made.

A method for proactively creating a photobook includes identifying a group of images by a computer system and automatically creating a design for a photobook by the computer system without receiving a user's request for designing a photobook if the number of images in the group is determined to be within a predetermined range. Pages of the photobook incorporate a plurality of images in the group. The method further includes presenting the design of the photobook to a user for preview and receiving an order from the user for a physical manifestation of the photobook based on the design.

A system for publishing digital images wherein a mobile device (14) that stores at least one digital image generates output signals in response to operator commands. The mobile device (14) communicates with a source of digital instructions (18) thorough a communication network (16) such that digital instructions are downloaded to the mobile device. The system and method provides software for the entity-specific image capture devices that causes the image capture devices to transmit entity ID information when the image capture devices transmit images over the Internet. The system and method further provide an online photosharing service capable of hosting the entity-specific photo-sharing websites for each of the entities, such that when the image capture devices connect to photo-sharing service, the photo-sharing service uses the entity ID received from the image capture devices to automatically associate the image with the photo-sharing websites of the identified entity.
