The second controller causes a stair image, which resembles the shape of a media tray to be inserted into a printing device, to be displayed as a background image of the edit screen. Images displayed in the first image edit area and the second image edit area are associated with images to be printed on a plurality of print media loaded in the media tray, the association being based on the location of the stair image relative to the first image edit area and the second image edit area.

To this end, a control apparatus of the present invention is a control apparatus that allows a printing apparatus to print multiple divided images, into which an input image is divided, on print media, including: a setting unit that sets the number of divisions of the input image based on user input; an obtaining unit that obtains a width of the print media; a determining unit that determines a scale factor of the input image based on at least the set number of divisions, the width of the print medium, and a width of the input image; and a display control unit that displays a preview screen of the input image and a processing instruction item for instructing processing of the input image together, in which in a case where processing of the input image is instructed by user operation through the processing instruction item, the display control unit displays a processed input image reflecting the processing based on the processing instruction, and the determining unit determines a scale factor of the processed input image based on a width of the processed input image.

A display control apparatus which enables a user to easily determine positions of boundary lines in a preview image. A first image is generated based on an initial image or a processing result of first image processing performed on the initial image, and a second image is generated based on a processing result of second image processing performed on the initial image. Display of the preview image is controlled based on the first image and the second image. An operation performed by a user on a control point for determining a position of at least one boundary line in the preview image is received. In a display process for the preview image, at least a part of the first image and at least a part of the second image are displayed based on the boundary line the position of which is determined by the control point.

On a touch-panel display of an image forming apparatus, a function selecting area and a preview area are displayed next to each other. On the function selecting area, a function setting menu is displayed in one display mode among an icon mode in which only a group of icons are displayed, a regular mode in which a group of icons and a group of texts are displayed, and an express mode in which a group of icons, a group of texts and a group of function setting buttons are displayed. The touch-panel display displays a preview image in a designated orientation for a document of a prescribed size, and displays a preview image in accordance with size and orientation of recording paper fed from the paper feed unit, for a document not of the prescribed size. An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a display unit, an operation unit, and a controller. The controller causes, before printing an image, the display unit to reduce and display, with respect to each of setting items for printing, images to each of which a processing indicated by one of the setting items is applied. In an image processing apparatus, an acquiring unit acquires a document comprising a plurality of images. A display screen includes a plurality of thumbnail images arranged linearly and in a sequence, each of the thumbnail images being generated from a corresponding one of the plurality of images acquired by the acquiring unit. An input unit receives a selection input and a process input. In response to the selection input, a control unit controls the display unit to update the screen so that a displayed size of the selected thumbnail image is larger than a displayed size of the thumbnail image of the subsequent page. The control unit controls the display unit to update the screen as indicated by the process input. The control unit provides the document with the plurality of images in the changed order to a selected destination.
