Method and system for adaptive content protection
Methods, systems, devices and applications for adaptive content protection for image data for use with interactive media display systems are disclosed. Initially, image data is obtained for display. A generated graphical obscuring element is then provided for the image data, the obscuring element generated for display overlaying the image data, wherein the obscuring element is generated to obscure, to a moderate degree, at least a portion of an underlying displayed image. On display of the image and the overlaying obscuring element, and in response to a prompt, the degree to which the obscuring element obscures the underlying displayed image is altered.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
Pieces of information are multiplexed in a plurality of portions on an image respectively. Image information which sets an edge amount becomes equal to or larger than a threshold is multiplexed in a portion of the plurality of portions where an edge amount is smaller than the threshold.
IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS
An image processing method is provided for acquiring additional information from image information obtained by shooting a printed product on which the additional information is multiplexed by at least one of a plurality of different multiplexing methods, the method comprising: attempting decoding of the additional information from the image information by a plurality of different decoding methods corresponding to the plurality of different multiplexing methods; and outputting, by a unit, the additional information successfully decoded.
Security element and method to inspect authenticity of a print
The invention relates to a security element applied onto printing substrates (bank notes, securities, product packagings, identity cards/labels or other similar documents) by printing, comprising a unique identifier as primary information visible to the naked eye and secondary information protecting against copying non-visible to the naked eye. The unique identifier is typically a point code. Said secondary information is represented by a structure with the largest dimension of 2 to 40 microns, and due to printing distortions arising when the security element is applied onto a printing substrate, said secondary information is non-reconstructable from the print of the security element and a statistically analyzable inherent feature is associated to it. The invention also relates to a printed matter with such an inventive security element and to a method to check authenticity of a printed matter with the inventive security element in visible light (380-750 nm).
DYNAMIC DIGITAL WATERMARK
Some implementations may provide a computer-implemented method for validating a digital document, the method including: receiving, at a computing device, the digital document comprising at least two digital watermarks, the digital document issued by a central entity; retrieving a first digital watermark from the digital document, the first digital watermark visually presented at a first time point; retrieving a second digital watermark from the digital document, the second digital watermark visually presented at a second time point, the second digital watermark being different from the first digital watermark and the second time point being different from the first time point; and reading the digital document based on the retrieved first and second digital watermarks.
DETECTING SIGNATURE LINES WITHIN AN ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT
A system comprising a multifunctional peripheral device in which the multifunctional peripheral device comprises a processor and a display device, in which the processor detects signature lines in an electronic document, and in which the display device of the multifunctional peripheral device displays the detected signature lines one at a time.
PRINTER, PRINTING SYSTEM, AND PRINT MANUFACTURING METHOD
An input unit receives first image data corresponding to a watermark image by a first glossy ink. An image data transmitter composes the first image data and data representing a basic transfer pattern as a background of the watermark image to create and send second image data representing a watermark composite image. The basic transfer pattern is configured to transfer the first ink so that first pixels to which the first ink is transferred and second pixels to which the first ink is not transferred are dispersedly mixed. A printing unit prints a third image based on third image data printed using a second ink on a print body and prints the watermark composite image based on the second image data using the first ink on the print body to form a watermarked image including the third image and the watermark composite image superimposed on the print body.
Security compliance checking of documents
The disclosed embodiments provide for checking documents for security compliance when the documents are printed, scanned, or copied. A security status is determined based on security indicators within a document's content. Security indicators can be located within a document's text, figures, watermarks, security marks, and invisible marks. Security indicators can be found by comparing a document's content to a set of stored indicator descriptions. The indicators found are used to determine a document score and security responses are triggered based on the document score.
Secure content augmentation systems and methods
The disclosure relates to, among other things, systems and methods for augmenting and/or otherwise supplementing content using watermarks. Consistent with embodiments disclosed herein, a user device such as a smartphone may be used to retrieve watermark information encoded in a watermark. The watermark information may comprise content that supplements an associated content item, link and/or location information that may be used to retrieve supplemental content, and/or the like. In some embodiments, the watermark information may comprise cryptographic and/or other access token information used to decrypt and/or otherwise access supplemental content.
Display case with transparent display for watermarking
A display case is provided. The display case includes a transparent display for viewing an object through the transparent display and a watermarking engine configured to display a watermark on the transparent display.
