Embodiment of systems and methods for the sending, delivery or receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at users' sites, and a fax registration system that may be deployed remotely from these users' site. The fax connector can be accessed at a user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at a sending user's site communicates with the fax registration system to obtain destination data associated with a recipient user's fax connector and transmits the fax to the destination fax connector over the computer based network based on the destination data obtained from the registration system. The fax can then be presented to the recipient at the recipient user's site.

A server includes memory, a registration request receiver, a first determiner, and a first memory controller. The memory stores device identification information and service identification information in association with each other. The registration request receiver receives from an external device, a registration request including first service identification information and specific device identification information. The first service identification information identifies a first service to be provided to a user of a specific communication device. The specific device identification information identifies the specific communication device. In response to the registration request received from the external device, the first determiner determines whether to provide the first service to the user of the specific communication device. In response to a determination to provide the first service, the first memory stores the first service identification information in the memory in association with the specific device identification information.

Provided is a printer connected to a management server via a network. The printer includes a storage control unit that, when an event occurs, stores in a storage unit event information indicating a content of the event that has occurred and time when the event occurs, and a transmission unit that push-transmits the event information stored in the storage unit to the management server. The storage control unit adds, to the event information, transmission information indicating whether the event information has been transmitted or has not been transmitted to the management server and stores the event information in the storage unit. Among the event information stored in the storage unit, the transmission unit push-transmits, to the management server, untransmitted event information to which transmission information indicating the event information has not been transmitted is added.

An image forming device includes a receiver and a switcher. The receiver receives data for executing a function of storing specific data in a preset private box. The switcher switches between first and second register modes when the function to be executed by using the data received by the receiver is copied into the image forming device. The first register mode is a mode in which a private box is manually registered in the image forming device. Methods and systems for an auditing infrastructure for an Internet fax service architecture are provided. According to one embodiment, information regarding an event, associated with a component of the Internet fax service architecture, that is to be logged, is received by a centralized audit logging module of the Internet fax service architecture. The component may be a web server, an email server, a fax server, a notification server or an imaging system. The information is utilized by the centralized audit logging module to determine specific parameters within the Internet fax service architecture to be logged. Finally, the event, including the information and the specific parameters, is recorded by the centralized audit logging module to an audit log associated with the Internet fax service architecture in a standardized format.
