Capturing image data of printer output
An apparatus and method for use in capturing image data of an output of a printing device during a print run, the method comprising capturing a first portion of image data of a first spread, capturing a second portion of image data of a second spread, wherein the location of the second portion of image data on the second spread is different from the location of the first portion of image data on the first spread, and combining the first portion with the second portion to generate oversampled image data.
Job Management Program
When a job management program is executed by an arithmetic processing device in a terminal device, the arithmetic processing device operates as a job management unit for inputting a print job to an image forming apparatus. When a predetermined command is designated by a user operation, a job management unit inputs an image quality control print job for printing a specific color patch chart image on a target medium without applying color correction based on a color profile to the image forming apparatus for creating a color profile for the target medium desired by the user.

Image forming apparatus, image forming method, and computer-readable non-temporary recording medium storing image forming program
The image forming apparatus includes a color conversion processing unit that has an input profile for color conversion to first image data which is image data of a device-independent color space, and an adjustment target profile for color conversion to second image data which represents gradation values of the plurality of color materials, and a simulation profile for color-converting the second image data to third image data of the device-independent color space, a profile adjustment unit that adjusts the adjustment target profile in accordance with the user input, determines whether or not a color difference before and after the adjustment of the adjustment target profile is smaller than a preset threshold value, and updates the adjustment target profile by using the adjustment target profile after the adjustment when the profile adjustment unit determines that the color difference is smaller than the threshold value, and a color difference calculation unit.
To calibrate a printer
A method to calibrate a printer in which printing of a first print job is controlled. A target color is obtained from a second print job that is to be printed subsequent to the first print job. Printing of the target color obtained from the second print job is controlled while controlling printing of the first print job. An image of the printed target color is received. The printer is calibrated using the printed target color in the received image and the target color obtained from the second print job.
Image processing apparatus, method, and recording medium storing image processing program for gradation correction to minimize the difference between the corrected colorimetric value and a colorimetric measured color value
An image processing apparatus, an image processing method, and an image processing program stored in a recording medium are provided. The image processing apparatus includes a processing circuitry, and the processing circuitry and the image processing method obtain a color image output from an image forming unit, predict an output color of the image forming unit to generate a predicted color specification value independent from the image forming unit, extract from the input image data a colorimetry area for color difference determination, obtain a colorimetric value of an area of the color image that corresponds to the extracted colorimetry area, using a colorimeter, and add a colorimetric error at the colorimeter due to a color arrangement on the input image data to the predicted color specification value, to obtain a corrected colorimetric value of the area of the color image.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD EVALUATING PRINT QUALITY BASED ON DENSITY DIFFERENCE DATA
There is provided with an information processing apparatus. A first obtaining unit obtains data of a reference image indicating a target of printing output to be performed by a printing apparatus. A second obtaining unit obtains data of an image printed by the printing apparatus. A correcting unit corrects a local image density difference or the reference image based on a global image density difference between the reference image and the printed image. An evaluating unit evaluates quality of the printed image based on the local image density difference between the corrected reference image and the printed image.
