A method for printing at least a first and a later print job includes receiving a first print job containing first image data of one or more first images to be printed in a printable area and a later print job containing later image data associated with a colour, determining a first sub-area of said printable area where no image of the first images is to be printed, using the first image data; printing the one or more first images in the printable area and at least one first control patch in the first sub-area, using for said at least one first control patch at least one colour representative for the colour associated with the later image data, measuring the colour of the printed at least one first control patch, and using the measured colour of the at least one first control patch for controlling the later print job.

There is provided with an information processing apparatus. A first obtaining unit obtains data of a reference image indicating a target of printing output to be performed by a printing apparatus. A second obtaining unit obtains data of an image printed by the printing apparatus. A correcting unit corrects a local image density difference or the reference image based on a global image density difference between the reference image and the printed image. An evaluating unit evaluates quality of the printed image based on the local image density difference between the corrected reference image and the printed image.

An information processing apparatus is provided. The apparatus comprises at least one memory; and at least one processor, wherein the at least one memory stores at least one program that causes the at least one processor to perform operations including acquiring, periodically, in response to a request, or both, a color verification result of a printed article printed by an image forming apparatus from a storage storing a color measurement result of a printed article printed by the image forming apparatus, and in a case where the color verification result for the image forming apparatus to execute an instructed image forming satisfies a reference, executing the instructed image forming.

There is provided with an image processing device. An obtaining unit is configured to obtain a mixed spectral reflectance of a region in which a first color and a second color are mixed in an image including the first color and the second color, a plurality of first spectral reflectances of the first color, a plurality of first halftone dots associated with respective ones of the plurality of first spectral reflectances, a plurality of second spectral reflectances of the second color, and a plurality of second halftone dots associated with respective ones of the plurality of second spectral reflectances.

An information processing device includes: an acquisition unit configured to acquire color information on a specific color included in an inspection image, and a determination condition for determining a color shift with respect to the specific color; and a controller configured to: determine, based on the color information and the determination condition acquired by the acquisition unit, test image data representing a plurality of test images to be formed by an image forming apparatus; output the determined test image data to the image forming apparatus in order to form the plurality of test images; acquire luminance data on the plurality of test images, the luminance data being output from a color sensor; acquire spectral data on the plurality of test images, the spectral data being output from a spectroscopic sensor.

An information processing apparatus is configured to perform information processing on a target. The information processing apparatus includes one or more processors; and one or more memories storing program instructions that cause the one or more processors to perform a plurality of processes, the plurality of processes including a first process of adding information to the target and a second process of obtaining the information; control each of the plurality of processes; and perform a correcting process of concurrently performing corrections with respect to the plurality of processes.

An image forming apparatus performs the following. An imaging range imaged by each of the plurality of imaging sensors includes an overlapping portion between the imaging sensors adjacent in a width direction orthogonal to a conveying direction along the conveying path. A hardware processor performs a calibration operation of a first sensor based on a color measuring result of a predetermined inspection image measured within a standard imaging range of the first sensor among the plurality of imaging sensors, and a standard imaging result within the standard imaging range imaging an inspection image with a same pattern as the inspection image. The hardware processor compares imaging results by the plurality of imaging sensors in the overlapping portions and performs the calibration operation of another sensor different from the first sensor using the standard imaging result as a standard.

In an image forming apparatus, an arithmetic processing device functioning as a profile manager executes profile update processing: (a) by selecting one of a plurality of sheet types as a reference sheet type, allowing a printing device to print a colorimetric patch on a printing sheet of the reference sheet type to create an adjustment chart, generating a profile on the printing sheet of the reference sheet type based on a colorimetric result of the colorimetric patch, and updating the profile on the printing sheet of the reference sheet type stored in a storage device with the generated profile; and (b) by selecting each of the remaining sheet types as a target sheet type and calibrating the profile on a printing sheet of the target sheet type stored in the storage device, based on respective correspondence relation characteristics before and after the profile on the reference sheet type is updated.

Systems and methods are provided for reviewing printed jobs. On embodiment is a system comprising a print review device. The print review device includes a memory that stores an image of a test pattern printed by printheads of a printer, and a controller that generates a Graphical User Interface (GUI), for presentation at a display, depicting states of the printheads based on the image, receives input from a user selecting one of the printheads, correlates the printhead with a portion of the image, and presents the portion of the image for review at the GUI. The controller also identifies locations on the portion that are correlated with nozzles of the printhead, and selectively highlights the locations based on state information for the nozzles.

A color printing system implements quality control for processing color print jobs by performing a quality control operation on a printing device. The printing device is queried whether a calibrated paper is loaded on the printing device. The calibrated paper includes a media or paper type. Several calibrated papers can be loaded on the printing device. A confirmation is done that the calibrated paper is available according to a defined rule. The defined rule relates to the media or paper type. A quality check print job is submitted to the printing device to be printed on the calibrated paper. The quality control operation is performed using the quality check print job.
