COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED SYSTEM FOR IMAGE QUALITY ENHANCEMENT AND COLOR SPACES CONVERTION FOR MANUFACTURED SURFACES PRINTERS
A computer-implemented system for image quality enhancement and color spaces conversion for manufactured surfaces printers comprises at least a convolutional neural network, configured for executing at least the following steps: receive in input an original image x in RGB space; from the original image x, elaborate an approximation {tilde over (x)}.sub.+ in multichannel space or in RGB space of an enhanced image x.sub.+ for manufactured surfaces printers; and return to output the approximation {tilde over (x)}.sub.+ of the enhanced image x.sub.+ for the use in manufactured surfaces printers.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A DECORATIVE SHEET AND A METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A DECORATIVE PANEL COMPRISING A DECORATIVE SHEET
A method for manufacturing a decorative sheet may involve providing a first printed substrate having a first decorative image printed using an analog printing technique. A digital copy of the first decorative image may be acquired to obtain a first master image. A first color profile of the first decorative image may be obtained. The first master image may be printed on a second substrate using a digital printing technique to form a second decorative image. A second color profile of the second decorative image may be obtained. The first and the second color profiles may be compared to determine a similarity index. If the similarity index is below a threshold value, then an image processing operation may be performed to obtain a second master image. The first and the second printed substrates may be subjected to a predetermined operation.
Remote adjustment of print settings
Systems and methods for providing remote approval of an image for printing are provided. One system includes a processing circuit in communication with an image capturing device that is configured to capture an image of a printed product. The processing circuit is configured to process the captured image into a processed image accurate to within a tolerance in a color space to indicate the visual appearance of one or more colors. The color space is a standardized color space, such as sRGB or CIELAB. The processing circuit is further configured to transmit the processed image to a display located remote from the image capturing device and to receive an input signal from a remote input device to allow a user to approve or reject the displayed processed image for printing on a print device.
Color patch layout determination
A color test pattern comprising color patches can be printed together with an image (text and/or a pictures, for example) of a print job. After printing, reflections, known as flare, from the image may adversely affect measurements taken of the color patches. To help reduce the effects of flare, a determination is made prior to printing as to the layout of the color patches. The determination involves comparing the color properties of the color patches with those of the image.
DATA GENERATING APPARATUS GENERATING CONTROL DATA FOR COMMON USE IN PRINTING PROCESSES PERFORMED ON A PLURALITY OF PRINT EXECUTION UNITS
In a data generating apparatus, a processor acquires offset information indicating a deviation in a colorant usage used by a specific print execution unit from a standard amount of usage. The standard amount of usage is a standard quantity concerning colorant used by print execution units. The processor controls the specific print execution unit to print a first patch image and generates first control data using first read data based on the first patch image. The processor generates corrected first control data using the offset information. The processor controls the specific print execution unit to print a second patch image using the corrected first control data and generates second control data using second read data based on the second patch image. The first and second control data is for common use in the printing processes performed on the print execution units.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND CORRECTION CONTROL PROGRAM
An image forming apparatus includes: an image former that forms an image, which is desired by a user and different from a predetermined pattern, on a sheet; an output information detector that detects output information on a first image formed on a first sheet by the image former; and a hardware processor that: acquires an correction amount of a third image, which is formed on a third sheet after the first sheet and a second sheet, according to a detection result of the first image by the output information detector and image information on a second image formed on the second sheet after the first sheet by the image former; and controls the image former so as to correct the third image based on the correction amount acquired by the hardware processor.
Determination of tone value increase from a printed image
Systems and methods for analyzing printed images are provided. One system includes a processing circuit configured to: determine a set of one or more locations on the printed image on the substrate to measure color values; determine a set of input tone values for the at least one ink; receive a set of measured color values corresponding to the set of locations on the printed image from a sensor; and determine a tone value increase error based on the set of measured color values and the set of input tone values. The at least one processing circuit is configured to determine the tone value increase error without requiring measured color values from an area having solid ink.
Color correction in printing systems
A method is described in which a first color is detected at a user-selected arbitrary position of a first print; a second color is detected at a user-selected arbitrary position of a second print printed by a printer; a color difference between the first color and the second color is determined; and settings of the printer are changed to reduce the color difference in further prints printed by the printer.
Terminal device, diagnosis system and non-transitory computer readable medium
A terminal device includes an acquisition unit that acquires image information of a read-out original, a display unit that displays the image information acquired by the acquisition unit, a detection unit that detects pitch information by performing frequency analysis of the image information displayed by the display unit, and a control unit that controls the image information so as to be enlarged or reduced in accordance with a size of the original and controls to display the pitch information so as to be superimposed on the image information which is enlarged or reduced.
