Printing system including first and second information terminals, client information terminal, and management section coupled to each other via network
A first provider for providing a printer, a second provider for providing a print medium, a client which performs printing on the print medium using the printer, and a management section for processing and storing information are coupled to each other via a network. The first provider provides the second provider with a provider printer and a profile preparation tool. The second provider executes a process of preparing a profile corresponding to a combination of the provider printer and the print medium using the same, and transmitting printing setup information including the profile to the management section with respect to one or more print media. The client receives the printing setup information corresponding to the combination of the client printer used in printing and the print medium used in printing from the management section, performs setup based on the printing setup information on software for controlling the client printer and performs printing.
Image forming apparatus configured to perform gradation correction process
An image forming apparatus includes a gradation correction unit configured to perform a correction process on first image data expressing first gradation values, and output second image data expressing second gradation values. The gradation correction unit is configured to determine the second gradation values based on the first gradation values of a plurality of colors of a plurality of pixels in an area including a process target pixel and having a size corresponding to a first color misregistration amount. The gradation correction unit is further configured to determine the second gradation values such that there is no pixel in which a sum of the second gradation values of the plurality of colors exceeds a first threshold value, even when color misregistration within the first color misregistration amount occurs.
Projector display calibration
Embodiments describing an approach to generating, a calibration slide for a presentation. Receiving, a first image of the calibration slide. Receiving, a second image of the calibration slide, wherein the second image of the calibration slide is associated with the projector component. Analyzing, the first image of the calibration slide and the second image of the calibration slide, wherein the analysis comprises: comparing, display attributes between the first and second image of the calibration slide, and identifying, distortions in the second image of the calibration slide. Responsive to the analysis, calibrating, the display attributes of the presentation based on a preset user threshold of acceptance.
Information processing apparatus, method and storage medium that generate color matching information and line width correction information
An information processing apparatus includes a first acquisition unit to acquire a first color reproduction characteristic indicating first color reproduction color values that indicate a color obtained by reproducing color values by a first printing apparatus, a second acquisition unit to acquire a second color reproduction characteristic indicating second reproduction color values that indicate a color obtained by reproducing color values by a second printing apparatus, a first generation unit to generate color matching information when color matching is performed between the first and second printing apparatuses based on the first and the second color reproduction characteristics, a third acquisition unit to acquire a first line width characteristic of the first printing apparatus, a fourth acquisition unit to acquire a second line width characteristic of the second printing apparatus, and a second generation unit to generate line width correction for correcting an input line width for the second printing apparatus.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus includes circuitry configured to receive a designation of a to-be-corrected color that is a process color or a special color different from the process color and is to be corrected; identify, on the basis of the designation, a tone correction pattern, and generate rendering data of the tone correction pattern to be used for forming an image on a recording medium; obtain a standard value of the to-be-corrected color; and correct the to-be-corrected color on the basis of a difference between a color measuring result obtained from measuring a color of the image, of the tone correction pattern formed on the recording medium and the standard value.
PRINTING SYSTEM CALIBRATION USING REFERENCE PRINTING DEVICE
Color values are measured for a set of color targets printed by a reference printing device on a medium of a reference media type. A different printing device prints a subset of the set of color targets on another medium of this reference media type. The color values of the subset of color targets printed by the different printing device are measured, and the different device calibrated based on the measured color values for both the set that the reference printing device printed and the subset that the different device printed. The different printing device can then also be calibrated for a different media type, based on a transformation of the set of color targets printed by the reference printing device on a medium of the different media type relative to the set of color targets printed by the reference device on the medium of the reference media type.
